The guy playing the bass in this video seems to be none other than Thobbe Englund (I think), Sabaton's current (and previous) guitarist. And Sabaton has also done a few shows with Raubtier and even made a cover on one of their songs. Raubtier's current bassist, Jonas Kjellgren has also been involved in some of Sabaton's music iirc.
Yes and about 50% of all Swedes knows at least some German. A lot of people had it for 6 years in school or so. And the languages are fairly close lots of loanwords especially military stuff.
Raubtier is like a werewolf on red bull coupled with diesel. Its madness and its awesome. Raubtier often played live with Sabaton btw another awesome band.
Raubtier has a great musical style and it's also transitional into various sub-genres. They've got songs using operatic backing vocals and symphonic elements like subtle violins and such. Pär Hulkoff is the greatest musical poet of the metal genre during modern times in Sweden.
Love watching your reactions. You're doing a great job, funny, authentic. Do you know the Hulkoff's second band? It's called Hulkoff and the lyrics are partly in English. It's kinda folk metal, with violin and so on. Not softer than Raubtier but more melodic (mostly). If you're interested to check Hulkoff (the band) out, I'd recommend you "Jarfr" as first song. It's about a beast of Norse mythology.
The singer, Hulkoff, was an actual tank operator in Sweden, so he's drawing on real vibes when he sings this.
Sabaton and Raubtier are my favourite Swedish metal bands.
They have some co-operation in between, or atleast some of the band members!

...nice combination of Swedish with German punch lines with metal tune 😁
a swedish band with a german name :) Raubtier = predator
Or as i would describe them, Sweden's answer to Rammstein.
@@Templarofsteel88 Totally.
As a German: I guess that's how rammstein sounds to a non german speaking person! :D
Awesome track though! 🤘
