For me as a swede it's very cool when you do reactions to swedish bands. Sabaton made a song called Panzerkampf so they came pretty close... The singer of Raubtier has two other bands: Bourbon Boys and Hulkoff and I'm a big fan of all of his three bands. I saw both Raubtier and Hulkoff but I have yet to see Bourbon Boys live 🙂
'Achtung Panzer' or 'beware the tank' is a famous book by WWII German General Heinz Guderian written in 1937 and still in print. Guderian was a tactical genius. Cool song, more Rammstein to me than Sabaton. Cheers guys.
I believe it's Thorbjörn "Thobbe" Englund who was the bassist of Raubtier at the time when this song was written and recorded. When Sabaton split up in 2012, Pär hulkoff was among the first they called to be their new guitarist. Pär said "I have a bit too much going on with my two bands. But I think I know a guy." He then asked Thobbe if he'd like to try out as the new guitarist for Sabaton where he then played for 5 years, left the band in 2016/2017, contributed with song writing on 4 albums (as late as on The Great War, released in 2019) and then returned now in 2024 after Tommy left the band.
when you thought he said "mein herts brent" like Rammstein he said "MARKEN BRÄNNS" which basically means "Scorched Earth" / literally: the ground gets burned.
say "RA" then "UBB" and then say "TIER" like Americans would pronounce it. It's german for Predatory Animal / Predator. RAUBTIER!!! And please do more HULKOFF / RUBTIER SONGS!!!! (Hulkoff is the singer, he does solo panser folk rock, also with English vocals)
I can't blame them but when I hear a certain riff or that ta ta ta ta ta played by rammstein in almost all the songs, it turns me off.. And also It was like watching Varg Vikernes trying to go rammstein metal. Being influenced by a band doesn't mean it's a good idea to copy their sound.
Rammstain did not invent the riff, it existed way before, Rammstain do not claim it and just because other bands have simular or same riff does not make it bad.
First time I've seen anyone compare Varg to Hulkoff, I see it but also don't. Varg wouldn't make a song about how he argued with his wife about who's turn it is to take out the trash. One of them is a sane man, one isn't EDIT: but yeah this is not one of their best songs, it's just Engel
Seen these guys live a couple times. They always bring the energy

Raubtier has been opening act to Sabaton during tour in Sweden 😈
That was Hulkoff, not Raubtier.

Raubtier = predarory animal in German. Raub - Tier

Love them its a Swedish band i believe you reacted to their singer Hulkoff before, its his nickname/solo name i think
Very Rammstein-esq. Not a knock, a compliment.
Rammstein - Engel
I was thinking the same thing. Plus very Sabaton-like vocals.
Yeah, I was thinking more Rammstein than Sabaton.
The title can be translated to "Look out! Tank!"
marken bränns=the ground gets burned OR the ground is hot to the touch
Raubtier predator on german
Swedish band

Mullet Power!
🤟🤟🤟🤟
Kamphund and other tracks from the same album are better songs imo.
