  • In this video I'll show you guys the set up, and some other considerations on the Recover 20/20. In my estimation, Recover Tactical has designed the best adapter of its kind, currently on the market.
    This thing is, hands-down, the best Glock adapter I have ever used! This is going to be the new standard for my PDW Classes. Get on it y'all!

    Recover Tactical has since introduced a few more attachments and accessories that seem to enhance this brace more. A forward mag holder that mounts to the lower rail, that you can stick a spare mag into and also use as a forward grip. There is an optic rail that you can mount any picatinny red dot to as well, but I would actually recommend their metal glass breaker rail for a much sturdier optic mounting point.

    • @Tier1Citizen
      @Tier1Citizen  Рік тому +2

      Do you want to avoid using the optics mount that they've made. It has so many problems to it I don't even know where to begin. Here, read this article that I wrote on this very subject matter: img1.wsimg.com/blobby/go/f6c2a23e-38c9-4485-baf2-e7f5802dbde5/downloads/1brfid1rb_103843.pdf?ver=1664661655923

  • @Excalibur01

    There's a new add on for this thing now. Apparently it's been out for a long time. It's basically a replacement for the rail on the right side with an optics mount so you can actually put micro red dots on TOP of the side or rather OVER the side like how competition shooters used to add a rail so they can mount red dots on pistols before the invention of slide cut frames. Putting a micro red dot and the height makes this system every more usable

    • @Tier1Citizen

      Stay away from that mount.

      Any mount that attaches to the accessory frame of the handgun has too much flex in it to be able to trust it.

    • @basketcase1235
      @basketcase1235 2 роки тому +1

      @@Excalibur01 it does have a bit of flex, but it's more on it being made of polymer (a big mistake) than due to how it's mounted, as it's actually mounted on the kit itself (3 points of contact to the gun) as opposed to directly on the accessory rail.
      and i agree, on the ranges this will be likely used, that slight flex is inconsequential. wish it was made of metal though.

    i have one of these on my Glock 24 with a threaded barrel. I love this thing. I also am running the Recover 20/20 top rail with a Holosun 510c-gr. I can not believe the improvement in accuracy and the light recoil. With this setup I can shoot much more comfortably, with my head more upright. I won’t even say what I am doing at 75 and 100 yards with Underwoods 135 grain 40 S&W. Most wouldn’t believe me.The velocity is amazing with the 6.6 inch barrel, so I don’t have to allow for much drop at all. With this brace, I can put shots on target at 50 yds like I could at 15 and 25 yds without it. If you are on the fence, go for it.

    Wish I had seen it before I bought a MCK. While the MCK is great, this is a much more compact package and more useful for a small backpack gun.
    I don't think I will ever holster it though because concealment would be a pain unless I dress like Nick Fury all the time.
    The only thing I would like is if they made the rear portion shorter and have a telescoping component to the folding brace so it's even shorter overall when folded and you can shoot like a pistol for retention CQB.

    So this thing seems to be getting a lot of hate, we need to put this into perspective. I run a G45 9mm. I then will run a M&P 40 in a Recover Tac (20S) with four 25 round mags in a subgun configuration with a designated load out chest carrier/bag. Why? It can easily fit in a bag, vehicle/truck/get home bag. It gives me the opportunity to have a subgun configuration in 40 cal and still have a designated sidearm (G45). You're not going to use this pistol caliber out to 100y, and I don't have to worry about running a 7.5 or 10.5 AR as a "Truck gun". perspective.

      I ran it at a PCC course a few months ago. It did well and dominated in CQC work. However, it lacked past about 30 yards due to the inherent slop in the loose nature in which handguns lock up. As a truck gun, I'd have to rethink it.

However, it bears noting that this is a device that allows you to have a PDW without any paperwork for that five second fight where you might fire 7 rounds total.
