- Surf Fishing New Smyrna Beach, We caught Pompano, Whiting and some Bluefish in some pretty rough surf and strong current. The Pompano was probably a keeper but we usually don't keep them and she caught some decent Whiting on fishbites and sand fleas and even caught our first Bluefish with the fishbites!! We were going to make another trip in 2 days but got rained out and the conditions for the next 7-10 days for New Smyrna Beach don't look good. Surf Fishing the East coast of Florida during the winter time can be very tough!! March is probably the best time to catch a Trophy Blacktip Shark at New Smyrna Beach, So get ready!! Thanks for Watching!!

I love surf fishing- my husband and I are going there on August 30,2020. Exciting to fish yay 😃
if you don't mind, do you have a suggestion of a good place to fish at new smyrna? I've done a few days from the beach just south of the rock jetty at ponce inlet. Seemed ok but not the best.
Enjoyed the video, what month is best for you?
Question, why do you stand so far from shore? Is it because of the tide?
Are the fishing spots just somewhere you can park on the side of the road and walk straight to, or are they where you park in parking lot and walk out to it? Never been to this area.
Can u give me spec what kind of tica rod u guys use
What time of year?
why do so many people freak out over pompano ? ive seen videos that say they are the most expensive fish in florida, yet you say you dont keep them ?
Very nice
