Catching a "Blacknose Shark" at New Smyrna Beach!!
My Wife caught another Blacknose shark at New Smyrna Beach! She also caught 5 Whiting and a Sail Catfish. She was happy to catch the Blacknose Shark because even though the conditions were good it was a slow day. She has caught a lot of Blacknose Sharks at New Smyrna Beach along with some big Blacktip Sharks. She has also caught a 6'3" Spinner Shark and a 7'2" Lemon Shark both of which were caught at New Smyrna Beach. All of those sharks are in the "Sharks" playlist on our channel, Thanks for Watching!!

Surf Fishing Florida, Catching Big Whiting in Rough Surf and Heavy Current! My wife caught 3 big whiting along with several smaller whiting and about 10 catfish! The surf was big and rough and the current was very strong so it was a tough day! You normally don't see conditions like this at New Smyrna Beach in July unless there is a storm off the east coast of Florida. Thanks for Watching!!

Surf Fishing Florida, We caught a Blacknose Shark and some small Whiting. We were filming every fish my wife caught and she ended up with 9 fish. She caught 1 big whiting but she also caught some very small whiting and a couple of spots. We also caught an unusually strong Blacknose shark that was actually pulling drag on our Cabo 120 shark reel. We have caught a lot of Blacknose sharks but neve...

Surf Fishing Florida, my wife caught a Big Black Drum and a lot of Catfish! She could not get away from the catfish on this trip but she did end up with a nice Black Drum at the end of the day. She was using Fishbites and Sand Fleas and was fishing 10 feet from the edge of the surf when she caught the Black Drum, which weighed around 4-5 pounds. Thanks for Watching!!

Surf Fishing Florida, My wife caught 2 big Whiting and we lost 2 Tarpon!! Both Tarpon got off after making 100 yard runs before the hook pulled. My wife caught 5 Whiting and the biggest ones were around 14 inches! The Bluefish were shredding up our cut Whiting baits all day before I finally caught one but missing both Tarpon was a major letdown. Thanks for Watching!!

Surf Fishing Florida, Catching Whiting, Catfish and spots at New Smyrna Beach! My wife had a good day of Surf Fishing, she caught about 20 fish including 2 big whiting that were probably 14 inches. She also caught some spots and catfish along with a small pompano. She lost several fish at the edge of the surf maybe because we were using a new style of hook? Thanks for Watching!!

Surf Fishing Florida, Black Drum and Whiting at New Smyrna Beach! We were having a slow day of surf fishing until my wife caught a "Double Black Drum" which she has never done before, so she was excited about that. She has caught Black Drum before but never two at a time. The surf fishing rigs we use have 2 or 3 hooks so she has caught many "Doubles" but never the Black Drum, Thanks for Watching!!

Surf Fishing for Whiting and Bluefish on a cold windy day. This was our 2nd surf fishing trip of 2024 and my Wife was able to catch 5 Whiting and 2 very small Bluefish. This trip was almost 8 hours long and it was a relatively cold day for Florida and was windy as well. We had a rod out with cut Whiting but both of the Bluefish were caught on Fishbites which is unusual, Thanks for Watching!!

We finally got back to to the beach and we were able to catch some little sharks. We also caught some whiting and a bluefish so it was a pretty good trip. Even though they were just little sharks they were Blacktip Sharks and not the typical Blacknose Sharks. The little Blacktip Sharks fight harder than Blacknose Sharks and one of the little sharks almost yanked the rod out of my wife's hands! ...

We couldn't believe the big whiting head we were using for bait caught such a small shark. We use whiting heads as shark bait most of the time but this time the whiting head was bigger than the little Sharpnose sharks head! We were also using a 11/0 circle hook so we just could not believe we were actually able to get the hook in the sharks mouth. We also caught a little Blacktip shark on a whi...

    • @koreanfishingwife8766

I would just get the BG 8000 because it is only 1/2 ounce heavier than the BG 6500 but has the larger spool. They are the exact same reels so getting the larger spool on the BG 8000 for only 1/2 ounce is the way to go. We have a video on our channel where we actually got a big beach tarpon on our 2nd BG 8000. I used the reel to wear that fish down and it easily handled the big Tarpon!

I can say after using this system now that I love it more than any of the other rigs we have tried! It cast farther than inserting mono into the hollow core. The knots securing the mono in the hollow core just slowed the cast line too much for our liking. If I had a drone or a kayak it would be different but for pure casting from the beach this is the ticket!

We have found this leader system to be very effective, it's versatile since it allows you to adjust the length of the cable based on the the situation or the rod you will be using. Also it makes it much easier to handle the bigger sharks at the edge of the surf with the long thick mono section. Which also allows you to pull the smaller sharks and rays up the beach with just a light pair of gloves. Good to see the leader is working out for you and Thanks again for Watching!!
