Kobe work ethic is legendary. In his documentary. One of the coaches explained that kobe was in tye gym all night practicing. It was now 11pm he told kobe he's going to bed now see u tomorrow. He walked into the gym like 10 am the next day kobe was shooting. He asked kobe get a good night's sleep. He then asked kobe what time did u get here this morning to start. Kobe told him I haven't slept yet I've been going since you left at 11 last night. He took his gift and maximized it. He is no doubt one of the best to ever play
I met Tim Grover a few years ago and I asked him about Kobe stories and he said the exact same thing about Kobe being obsessed with the basics Said Kobe would spend hours on moves you’d learn in youth basketball
Is a self-discipline, time management and family balance. I always say we have 24 hrs a day. I am a cyclist who wakes up from 5:45 to 6:00 am and rides 3-4 hrs 4-6 days a week. It works for me.
Dude you don't lol. But there is a book by his trainer Tim Grover called "Jump Attack" which features his gym workout plan. It's pretty good, I am doing it right now!
Yeah man I've watched your content still tho fo realz about you man alan, and you were always saying about kobe Bryant never ever getting bored with the basics and thats what I've actually like been always been doing since day 1 tho tbh in order to be the best basketball 🏀 since 1 I've known tho its what it takes to get there with starting with it since I've actually learned from the greats of what it takes to get there and since channelling him tho fo realz still Kobe Bryant I've tooken it to a whole new level of not ever ever getting bored with the basics/fundamentals tho still so yeah, by doing juss basics drills and stuff tho whereas average hoopers they don't not care about them tho still, but for those like myself that wanna be the very best it's what it actually takes to get there still tho fo realz so big ups alan, basketball 🏀 is my truest passion as well tho fo realz so yeah me and you both man!.❤😊 Consistency beats talent.
Michael Jordans trainer (Tim Grover) who also trained Kobe Said that jordan never worked on any trick shots. All they worked on was the fundamentals. Master the basics.
There are 2 ways to see this "absurd" situation of waking up at 4 am (it has become an obsession on the internet): 1- The person will become better at what they do compared to those who wake up later. 2- The same person will have to sleep much earlier and will waste time during the night who could be training. Anyone who doesn't wake up at 4 am but trains until late at night will spend the same amount of time training, so why torture themselves? Wake up at 7-8 am but train until 10-11 pm. Pure Mathematics
I hear that and that works for some. I found that once you got kids and crazy job or two, the most consistent time available to you is early in the morning.
Yall don't get it! Yes the time is the time but to do it at 3 and 4am is different level. Most people sleeping, and uts harder to workout at 3am vs 7am It takes dedication and a different level of commitment. Also im sure he pick this time because he probably had a team practice of some sort later. When you view it as such then this changes your prospective on why the mamba was the mamba. I get up every morning at 430 and hit the gym daily. Kobe made basketball a lifestyle and that's why he is compared to Jordan arguably the best to do it. Period!
Do you know that Kobe Bryant is actually Archangel Metatron? He’s the only Archangel that was human. His death was a premeditated murder. This is going to come out🙏
That’s nothing I live in eastern standard time zone and routinely watch late ass Monday night football, Thursday night football, late college games past midnight at times having to get up at 5am for my 6am job at a warehouse lifting heavy ass furniture …stupid ass west coast lol
you grifters say "4am" like its some big sacrifice. If his entire life is scheduled this way, then 4:am is just a time he exercises. ITS NOT THE SAME AS SOMEONE WITH An 8-17:00 job with life obligations who wakes up at 4:am to exercise.
finding ways to make the basics interesting is where the creativity is developed. Give thanks for this reminder. Kobe BEEN KNOWING.
Well said!!
I never get bored with the basics, Kobe secret key note.
Awesome!
Never much of a Kobe "fan" but mad respect and admiration for his work ethic and sheer tenacity.
Roger that!

Don't focus on his schedule... focus on his commitment!

Kobe did the same thing to Chris Bosch. If they only got their 1 hour earlier 😂
Wow!!

Agreed. It’s all personal preference.
The idea was for him to get extra training in. So I didn't matter early or late it was about additional training sessions

Except that going to bed early enough to train early is better for the body and mind physically and mentally.
