It really warms my heart to see that there's at least one other person out there that actually cares about their friends, family, and fans, and is able to turn down such an insane amount of money because their ethics comes first, especially when these "people" that own the sites know exactly the primary users are children, and those that are already predisposed to addictive behaviours. I really apprecoate you sending this message. I got into gambling really young because of CS:GO and how normalized it is in the culture. (Like, i was 13-15 when it was bad.) it made me partially suicidal because i spent several thousand dollars that i had been saving, and the cherry on top was being scammed by a tournament invitation, some adult russian had a lengthy conversation with me knowing i was a kid just to steal everything i had left. i was MGE after about a year of playing at 13, i was just getting into faceit and stuff and i gave up completely on the game. the only positive is that i was young and didnt have a lot to lose, so i learned my lesson while it was still possible to recover after a couple years. you are a fantastic person for making this choice, and it is all the more disgusting knowing how much money they will throw away on a single sponsorship, it shows just how much they rake in from the vulnerable individuals in an audience.

Thank you Jeff! And I guess you underestimate the effect. Im not sure if I wouldnt have ever tried to gamble (some years ago when I was younger) if there wasnt a Jeff to clearify things. You still reach thousands (!) of people with youre content. You are getting used to the numbers on UA-cam, but man, what an amount of people that is listening to you. Even if you just convince 1% of the viewers in a 100k video to not gamble or stop gambling, youre doing a great job to 1000 people. You cant destroy the gambling scene, but you can make the potential victims to think about it.

i knew it was a big shithole of corruption and lies tied to the gambling sites, but that *all* of them allegedly are outright scams is scary.

I really apprecoate you sending this message. I got into gambling really young because of CS:GO and how normalized it is in the culture. (Like, i was 13-15 when it was bad.) it made me partially suicidal because i spent several thousand dollars that i had been saving, and the cherry on top was being scammed by a tournament invitation, some adult russian had a lengthy conversation with me knowing i was a kid just to steal everything i had left. i was MGE after about a year of playing at 13, i was just getting into faceit and stuff and i gave up completely on the game. the only positive is that i was young and didnt have a lot to lose, so i learned my lesson while it was still possible to recover after a couple years. you are a fantastic person for making this choice, and it is all the more disgusting knowing how much money they will throw away on a single sponsorship, it shows just how much they rake in from the vulnerable individuals in an audience.

Props to you for doing that. Promises of 120'000 is crazy, like top 1% crazy, but you stayed cool and wanted to make sure for yourself that going forward you wouldn't have any regrets or legal problems. It also just shows how much money these websites are dealing with to be able to make these propositions and they are still not under Casino laws in a lot of countries.
