Literally the only clash royale UA-camr I watch and it's only because you produce great, high end content. If you ever branch out into more games I'm sure you're gonna blow up more than you have already, keep up the good work!
Redownloaded Clash, got demolished by people using double evolutions, champions, and ridiculous new tower things. Immediately uninstalled. This game is fundamentally ruined beyond repair. Still love watching your videos.
I really love Tornado because it is one of very few cards that allows creativity in your play. Sure, there are generic use cases for it too, but 95% of cards have very clear use cases, and using them outside of those cases is asking to lose. but Tornado feels different. The possibilities with this card feel endless. My favorite deck of all time was a pekka splashnado deck, and though it wasnt a good deck, it was so much fun because I could tornado ranged troops right to my pekka to instantly kill them before the enemy placed their tank or swarm. Caught them off guard every time.
As an OG player, it’s good to see these retrospective videos. That middle school nostalgia hits. And after getting back into the game since late 2023, after stopped playing after 2020, it’s crazy how they altered things so long ago and never reverted it back to former glory
I hate when Supercell stated that "Offence over Defence", Like wtf. They could have treated both Offence and Defence equally, but since Supercell is considered to be an offensive company that doesn't know the CONCEPT od what can be defended to
Despite its strength at times, some of my favorite decks i used to play in CR had nado because it was so satisfying to make a skilled play with the card. With how rampant evolutions are, along with the new tower troops, i'd be more than happy to see nado left right well alone.
I really love the tornado, it’s always satisfying to tornado a hog rider to the kings tower as the opponent wastes their freeze expecting to get more damage on the Princess tower. Hog freeze was literally the most infuriating deck to play against when I first started clash Royale. That was before cards like princess and ice wizard even existed
I know Inferno Dragon has never been particularly meta defining, but it's my favorite card in the game and I think it would be cool to see someone acknowledge it!
I think they managed to nerf it indirectly, or buff non-tornado decks with other cards added (all after the rework) Before Executioner, I recall Witch working surprisingly well, because the skeletons made units move in the direction of tornado. I had a balloon tornado graveyard deck. Bowler really killed the deck tho Ice spirit obviously became meta with it when the pull strength was weak
I was a tornado advocate Day1 I didn't have the means to access anything above lv10 so I had no hopes of reaching top ladder but I think even launch tornado was mildly viable and it was 100% a skill issue in top players not wanting to get good with it. Post buff I thought supercell was crazy and I was so confused why I didn't see it more, post executioner forcing players to actually learn how to use the card. Honestly I kinda wish the executioner never existed since us small handful of players who knew tornado was busted could have enjoyedbit for longer. The 1 tick nerf was the perfect nerf since it again forced players to "git gud"
Tornado the only ”gimmick“-spell (or in other words a spell that isn’t meant to deal damage) that’s actually consistently viable. All the others are too niche to be viable all the time.
I think this card, and this channel, show that no tool in a game exists in a vacuum, especially a team game (as in the 8 cards) where synergy is a huge X-Factor, where if a tool has enough versatility it doesnt have to be conventionally strong to be great, but of course,is difficult to balance it makes other things stronger, really interesting stuff
I always knew tornado was a good card since the day it was released. The ability to move a card was completely new and opened the door for so many possibilities. I remember trying to make it work in a hog rider deck. The idea was to move things like mini pekka out of the way to get a hit. I tried to use it for the last few hits needed to take the tower before the game ended as a surprise factor
ive loved this videos because they remind me of false swipe gamings "how good was blank actually"? are they inspired by those videos? it would be cool to see a collab someday if it is!
when is the phoenix video comin? tbh we all know it is coming because of it's influence on the entire game. literally mentioned in almost every single one of your videos
Phoenix is still one of the newer cards in the game. There isn’t as much to cover right now, I’d rather wait a while for history to unfold further so there’s more to tell. At the moment I’m focusing on cards from 2019 and earlier. 2020 at the latest.
Would it be possible if you made a video on the Guards? They're constantly overshadowed by skeletons, goblins, goblin gang and skarmy but they're extremely underrated and I'd like to know how they were throughout the game's history
Supcercel dev 1: WOHO, we nerfed the Tornado, it sure isn't that broken now! Supercell dev 2: yeah, it's even better now with less damage Superccell dev 1: IS WHA-
An interesting video could be “how supercell changed its approach to buffing/nerfing cards over the years” or just general videos not on specific cards
really excited for evolved mirror where every other mirror played is +2 instead of +1, might genuinely be one of the most balanced evolutions of all time if they don't do something stupid like make evolved mirror play an evolved troop as its evo instead of the +2 thing
Reason tornado breaks the game is because a fundamental rule of the game is that placement of your cards is important. Learning good, percise placement of your own cards is a crucial skill to learn and develop, especially to counter ranged splash cards like executioner. But if that advantage gets completely nullified, then you're left without that major aspect of the game, removing the chance to outplay your opponent with skill. THEY will determine where you placed your cards, which is something no other card comes close to doing (maybe fisherman but that is a single troop that only pulls one at a time, and can only be placed on your side of the map). It's a unique concept which makes it cool and interesting, but for the sake of skill it was not good for the health of the game. People often mistake its amazing versatility for it having a high skill floor/cap. When really its just got so many different uses.
since evolutions are turning a year old next month, you should make a video going over their impact in the game’s meta and how they’ve impacted the rates of different cards in the year-long timespan they were added.
Every single time Gratz make a video about the card history, I will watch entirely, even some old video. Yes I know one of the video he just voice crack
At this point, I kind of want to see a game mode where everything is the same rules wise, but every card has any and all nerfs gone or the cards are changed so that they are in the strongest form it has ever been in their respective history. So peak strength nado, one release Phoenix, and any other point in a cards history where they were ridiculous, might even need to make variants of the same card so you can pull off combos with other cards that can't pull off the same combos with the base OP version of their combo piece
Am I the only one who wants a termilogy video? "Beat down," "bridge spam," "log bait," "exlier trade," a video just to explain what all these words and terms mean for noobs could go a long way.
No one's gonna watch a video like that, you know. Noobs aren't very likely to learn more about the game, and newbies just don't. One more reason is, you could find those terms on Google. It's also much faster to just ask people for what's confusing you, rather than watching a 1-hour-long video in which you aren't even sure there's anything you haven't known.
I think the tornado works better as a low damage pushing/clumping card that favors good timing and clever synergies. I would like it to also affect your own units for outside the box shenanigans and make it deal no damage to any unit enemy or ally, but that's incompatible with the whole levelling mechanic clash is so strictly built around.
Gratz your are my favourite CR UA-camrs every thing in your videos are just amazing love your voice and story tilling, i want you to make a video about the royal ghost you mentioned him almost in every video it will be nice making a video about him❤❤❤
Wish you talked about tornado magic archer decks and how the magic archer ended up getting nerfed for their synergy even though the magic archer wasn’t even that good on its own
@OWgooner Arrows are only as popular as they are cause they counter evo bats, evo bomber, evo firecrackers and evo archers. LP needs a slight health nerf to die to fireball, and maybe a slight damage ramp up rate decrease and it would be fine.
I’m not surprised that it is difficult to balance, considering the lack of ways to balance it on its own. For example, for another spell to compare it with, i will choose fireball, you could tweak the cost, damage, spread/area, damage pulse interval length, number of damage pulses, activation delay/speed, cycle. Another spell contrast example is rage, where the possibilities are duration, cost, area, damage boost, speed boost, delay, cycle. For tornado itself it is cost, area, duration, delay, cycle, and pulling power. A troop example, archers, the choices are vast, being cost, cycle, troop count, damage, attack speed, range, weight, speed, health deployment delay, delay between each archer, spacing/location of the archer, targeting. I’m probably forgetting some, and I highly doubt they would change the targeting on any of these, but hopefully I’ve shown my point
Nah bro, I binged way too many of these videos to the point I'm dreaming of cards that messed with competitive. Like I just dreamed of barbarian barrel but instead a barb it's a frickin Golem. The card was called Logem since it was basically log plus golem 💀
