This is seriously the best clone tribute. All the others did not include these important moments, and it’s perfectly edited. She completely gets it. Will make me cry every time, so so good 😭
The greates thing about the Clone Wars was that it showed us something that the prequels didnt do, that the clones werent just some unthinking droids but that they had personality and feelings chich made Order 66 even more heartbreaking, because they didnt want to do it and that they had to live with the actions they did.
The movies didn't tell, yes, but many novels (now legends sadly) did. The "Republic Commando" Series by Karen Traviss is really good. Sadly many clones would have executed Order 66 even without the chip. Most Jedi were bad tacticians and send many men to their unnecessary death. The majority also didn't really care about their troops or had a close relationship with them, since the Jedi code told you to be detached. Kenobi, Skywalker, Ahsoka and Plo Koon were the exception, not the rule. Some Jedi are so detached that they could be called emotionally dead. A good example is Luminara Unduli. And think of all the traitors or Jedi who fell during the war: Pong Krell, Quinlan Vos, Barris Offee. The clones did not think Order 66 was a scheme by a Sith master who wanted to destroy the jedi. They thought the jedi did indeed betray the republic. And all signs pointed toward it: poor tactics, high casualties, traitors....

And none of the Jedi should have gotten put in command in my opinion. I mean I know why they did but Jedi aren't able to lead anything bigger than strike teams except a rare few in my opinion. They are trained as peace keepers not soldiers. They are great individual fighters but that doesn't translate well to being a leader in the military. Pong Krell already had a superiority complex from what I could see. Quinlan was a shadow so he always flirted with darkness and had a temper. Not to mention psychometry I believe its called which imprints emotions into him. Barriss was an example of someone who broke from all the fighting. Especially due to the fact she was put in command when she is a healer. Very few healers or doctors like doing the exact opposite. Also I noticed that very few Jedi asked the admirals for their opinion which I thought was a neglect of resources. They had a career military mind right there and rarely used it. Of course some Jedi learned how to command troops over time and others were naturally good at it but not many of them could change from the peace keeper mindset to a military one. She just left 2 teenage girls to their fate, because she was so detached. No normal person would do that. This is why I believe she was the same with her troops, we just don't see it because she is supposed to be one of the good people. I totally agree with you on the rest.

And to think, Palpatine engineered THIER creation, let them become close and loyal to the Jedi, created a droid army that killed thousands of their brothers and thousands of innocent civilians in a galaxy spanning war. only in the end to use a mind control chip in the end to force them to kill the Jedi so he could become the unopposed sole ruler of the galaxy. And in the time of the Empire they basically became nothing but canon fodder till they were phased out by human recruits and died of accelerated aging. In the Republic they were allowed and even encouraged to be more individualistic, but under the Empire their armor was cleaned pure white with no custom stuff on it and treated as if they were not individuals. I feel bad for EVERYONE who fought in the Clone Wars, the Jedi, clones, battle droids, hell even Ventress, Grevoius, and Dooku, even the bad guys I feel bad for because no matter which side you look at, no matter what they personally fight for, it was all engineered to get Palpatine into power as the galaxy's Emperor.

This is so amazing....... I love it how you show the Loyalty of the Clones to the Republik, each Others and there Generals. And also the Love to each other and the Frindship to there Generals. I love how every Clone is the same but also an Individuum, this is what makes the Clones so loveable.

I feel like that it sums up the feeling I got from the Clone Wars as I rewatched the series a few time. With the ending being Rex and Fives questioning the point of the war and what happens after I find very powerful. I have seen this at least four times b now and love it every time.

I have seen this music used for an Anakin and Ahsoka tribute by a YTer called Anna Greguss; I love the music! This is one of your best videos; you made it very theatrical and almost "trailer-like." Rex and Fives interactions fix in perfectly, and the last minute of the video was just epic! It captures the clones' point of view on the war perfectly when you used Fives' "What happens to us then" quote while showing the aftermath of Order 66 in S7 EP 12. You did a great job with the audio mix as well.
Also, it's cool that I'm not the only one who re-watched things in order to make an edit. I have been watching the movies (1-6) for certain edits to give me a better understanding of how I should go about creating them.
I finished my re-watch of TCW yesterday and it is so heartbreaking to see that the clones were only just tools in a machinery of Palpatine used to rise his empire. Just like some of the Jedi, which saw that there is something big happening in the background (like Ahsoka, Barriss and in some parts Anakin and Yoda, too). TCW greatly shows that the clones are not only some nameless soldiers - I can remember, that only Cody was named more than once in the prequels - but human individuals. Like Fives, Rex and others. And this makes their fall alongside with the „good“ Jedi so overwhelming. Filoni, Eckstein and all the others made this a perfect series which explains more than the two movies (I don‘t count Ep. 1 as this one takes place way before the war) ever could Great video as well. Music was on point like always. 🙂 I only missed Ahsokas quotes after they caught Maul, the one where she calls Rex as her best friend and the one short before the fight against Jesse, which shows, that she still sees the clones with respect even if they were programmed to kill her, which shows the tragedy of them, too. 😉
OMG! I never would have caught this slight mistake if I hadn’t seen it up close. When Rex is looking at the picture of the four troopers (Cody, himself, Fives, and Echo) notice how both Echo and Fives still had their phase I arc trooper helmets while Cody has his phase II? Echo died before the clones switched over to the Phase two armor. I just thought it was an interesting error.
Seeing the clones developed over the years and then order 66 and rex and ahsoka having to kill her friends and the people the still respected her as a jedi just ❤️💔
I think all the clones have their own good & bad sides but captain Rex,Wolf & Gregga & then there’s 5’s & Echo but their all brothers in arms & I dig all of them.
The Clone Wars is so sad. The Skywalker Saga is supposed to be Anakin's story. The Great Tragedy of Anakin Skywalker, his rise and fall, and once more his rise. The Clone Wars is the Tragedy of the Clones. This army, built for combat as if they were the droids on the opposite side of the battlefield, used as pawns for one mans personal gain just to be cast aside. Just to be killed off by the hundreds, only to be remembered as the ones who led to the rise of the Empire, not the ones that befriended little Twi’Lek children, or the ones who defended countless Star systems from a murderous droid army. They spent years giving themselves their own personal identity, literally giving their lives so that they aren't seen as mindless droids who are capable of making sound decisions like real people. But instead the ones who were brainwashed and forced to do something against their will, and the galaxy never knew the truth
