    Thanks you for this informative video. It helped me with my batterie draining issue. Regarding the oled screen on the p20 pro, do you know anything about the phone, not using pure black in the overall interface? i have noticed my p20 pro glowing in dark, compared to my nexus 6 which also has an oled. when i use the same black images in a completely darkened room and go into Fullscreen, my p20 pro`s screen shines in a greyish black, whereas my nexus 6 is invisible.

      Thanks for your comment.
      Interestingly I'd never noticed this before. I've just done some tests to check mine:
      1) Downloading a black wallpaper from the Internet - not a fair test because the quality of the images can't be guaranteed - I could see pixelation as I zoomed into it to get it full screen so the screen wasn't truly black.
      2) I've tried installing an app called "Backlight Bleed Test" which is actually for LCD screens. However, it displays a full screen of black so think it is OK for this test...And I do indeed see a glow on the screen. There's a ~1cm strip across the bottom of the display and a maybe 5mm strip at the top of the screen UNLESS I set the brightness in this app to 5%. (This is also seen when I paint a black square using PicsArt and zooming in in Google Photos...)
      However, I do NOT notice this when the Always On Display is running...🤔 It does make you wonder whether this will/does affect battery life as pixels are being lit when they're not needed.. Good find! 👍

    I feel like my Huawei battery has gotten worse and I have all of these features enabled, is it me being optimistic that the battery should last for weeks or has there been a problem with this for others?

    • @AndroidAddicts
      @AndroidAddicts  6 років тому +1

      How long does yours normally last you? I charge every night but that's just a habit people have come to accept after the 'smart phone' boom of the early 2000's.
      You're never going to get more than 2-3 days out of this phone without being on "Ultra power saving mode" I'm afraid. It's only a 4,000mAh battery after all.
      If you're looking for a phone which lasts even longer than this then I'd suggest a lower-power device such as the Lenovo P2. You can see a comparison test I did with the P2 here: ua-cam.com/video/n2DWeGnHaI8/v-deo.html Sadly the camera on the P2 isn't great so it really depends what you want out of the phone...

      @@AndroidAddicts yeah once a day too, but I guess I use it a lot for UA-cam and games and social media etc, so I guess that's about right, and I have downloaded many apps since so they take up battery too. Yeah it probably is just me expecting too much, however I just played candy crush and the battery went down by 2% in 20 minutes.

    • @AndroidAddicts
      @AndroidAddicts  6 років тому

      If you're playing games then I'd definitely have the standard "Power saver mode" active and the screen brightness as low as is comfortably possible as those'll be the things that will use the most juice. The"Power saving mode" should reduce CPU speed too which I have never found to cause any slow-down or stuttering during games I'm playing.

    My friend, how I can set the second SIM connection type to GSM only, like the first SIM as you done? My p20 pro let me to do this only with the second sim card which it is the data card while I can't do this with the first sim card which I use only for voice dailing.

    • @AndroidAddicts
      @AndroidAddicts  6 років тому +1

      As the P20 Pro is only "Dual SIM Dual Standby" this means that there is only one transceiver in the phone - only one SIM is used when you make/receive a call and the other is put 'in standby' (try making a call on one SIM and you'll notice the little hour glass next to the SIM that's not in use).
      When you set the network mode, it is setting it for both SIMs at the same time. You cannot set them individually - for that you'd need a "Dual SIM Dual Active" phone.
      If you set it to 2G, both SIMs switch to 2G. The same goes for 3G and 4G.
      The only way you can get the "Preferred network mode" to show up under SIM 1 is to set it as the preferred SIM for data - this won't help you as you use SIM 2 for data.
      I hope that helps and makes sense 😊

      Ok, try this:
      Open the phone's Settings and search for "notification" in the search bar. You should see "Notification access" listed. Click on there and then another screen appears with a list of options. Select "Notification access" again and you should see the Fitbit service listed. Try enabling it for Notification Access.
      Failing that, in the Fitbit app itself, ensure you also have "Always connected" turned on and synced to your Fitbit. My Fitbit battery still lasts about 5 or 6 days with this turned on.
