    Simple,effective and remindful.Thanks for your efforts.
    One suggestion. You have white backround.Skeleton is naturally white. White on white is not right choice for visibility.Maybe darker backround should be better.

      Thank you! I agree about the background, I had a few other people comment similar things. So when I moved house I have redone my recording area. Check out my newest video and let me know what you think about the new one 🙌 thanks for the feedback

    Pull ups and dead hangs have really increased the size and strength of my trapezius muscle.

      That's great to hear. If you want even more focus on the upper part of the traps, give shrugs a go with a 1sec pause during full stretch at the bottom of the rep and a 1sec pause and hold at peak contraction at the top of the rep shrugging as high as you can go into that pause. You'll really feel those 🔥. You'll probably need a barbell/smith and to take a closer grip just at or slightly inside shoulder width to feel the trap stretch at the bottom though.

    Thanks great explanation. I’ve got soreness-inflammation on C7/T1 I think from high bar squats and or heavy deadlifts it seems very stubborn to get better. It’s just tender when I press on it and I can feel a bit of pain when I pick anything up with either arm. I’m trying not to aggravate it but I do a lot of physical work so it’s impossible to completely rest it

    • @BodyworksPrime
      @BodyworksPrime  Рік тому +3

      Hope you feel better soon. Sometimes the way the bar is placed during squats can cause pain in that area. Especially if you lean forward a lot during the squat. It can cause the bar to press against the vertebra. Altering technique usually fixes it if that is the issue.

    They often say wide rows targets upper back but if traps don't abduct the humerus then I don't see how it targets the upper back?

    One question. Does the Trapezius assist in raising my arm above my head given that it's attached to all these points. I can only raise my arm to just under shoulder height. Thanks for the clear explanation of the Trapezius.. I think I understand but would my condition not be affected if the neves that control all these muscles were not working. I should let you know this happened after I had shoulder replacement surgery

    • @BodyworksPrime
      @BodyworksPrime  Рік тому

      It doesn't directly raise the arm, but it does assist in positioning the scapula, which assists in raising your arm up (by altering the position of the glenoid cavity). I'd definitely speak to a physiotherapist about the issue you're describing and get them to do an in person assessment. It could be very challenging to find the cause by yourself and a good physiotherapist will be able to spot the issue.

    thank you for videos! what software are you using for showing that muscle structures attechments and origins?

    • @BodyworksPrime
      @BodyworksPrime  Рік тому

      Thanks! My videos use stock images which I have mostly modified myself. My most recent images are all from Shutterstock. If you're looking for good anatomy software, I would recommend an app called 'Complete Anatomy'. I have no affiliation, I just really like the software and it's what I personally use.

    What about the Teres minor and Major? I always get confused since the Major is higher to attach to the arm/pit. And the teres minor attaches litterly to the armpit. Is it possible that a overdevolped teres minor could litterly insert into the chest itself? Or the Major to litterly insert on the arm? I'm just throwing nonsense to just see what if. I see bodybuliders always neglecting these small muscles so wonder. Hmm?

    • @BodyworksPrime
      @BodyworksPrime  Рік тому

      Development of the muscle will not change the tendons' attachment site, but it can chance the orientation of the muscle fibers (which is a good thing as more fibers can fit, due to those changes in pennation angle). Those muscles actually get a fair amount of work in most bodybuilders. The teres major is extremely active in movements like lat pulldowns for example (hence why it is sometimes referred to as the lat's little helper). I wouldn't worry too much about over-development of them, as they are not muscles that can be easily isolated anyways (in terms of nothing else being worked) because their recruitment is largely dictated by neuromechanical matching, rather than something you have direct control of. Making sure you have a few multi-joint movements like rows and pulldowns/pullups tends to balance everything out anyways.

    • @entitiessoul
      @entitiessoul Рік тому

      Thanks for responding. Makes sense, so I have one more question. If you push your shoulders back and down and do rows. Do you stop activating the Teres Major and now activate the Teres minor. Or does it activate both? @@BodyworksPrime
