The MCU certainly have a talent for sabotaging their own villains. Villains who have a ton of potential, but that potential is squandered under the passionless hands of Disney Marvel.
In this video we talk about how the Marvel Cinematic Universe took a villain that was gift wrapped for them from Netflix's Daredevil, and how Kevin Feige and the MCU have completely misused him to the point that he is now a big load of nothing under their management.

Scar king from Godzilla X Kong was more frightening than Kang and Kingpin(post Daredevil), what a joke
Scar King second best MonsterVerse villain besides King Ghidorah. And he didn’t have that much screen time and wasn’t that much a threat unlike Ghidorah. But he still was cunning and had an enslaved Shimu as it’s weapon of mass destruction. Although my only complaint is we didn’t get enough of Skar king, but still he made a decent impression.
And Skar King wasn't even a powerful villain. He's arguable one of the weaker Titans in their catalogue right now but still managed to stand out.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels like Echo felt like a very tame when it came to its TV-MA rating and could’ve easily been TV-14, I mean hell even Stranger Things was more violent than this show.
Exactly. Especially seasons 3 and 4. Most of the violence was outright unofficial R rated territory. The Mind Flayer in S3 melted men women and children into Clive Barker / David Kronenberg gore messes, and S4 had Vecna snapping people’s bones and popping their eyes out. I question how Stranger Things hasn’t received a TV MA yet.

Kingpin is actually salvageable. Sometime before the WGA-SAG strikes of 2023 the initial takes of Daredevil Born Again were being talked about and Disney decided to shut it down. Then after the strikes, they got the original screenwriters for Netflix's Daredevil and had them load up on Daredevil comics and re-watch the original series presumably to recapture the feel and then Deborah Ann Wool and Elden Henson were rehired to reprise their roles. I think they just had to bite the bullet with Echo because of the summer of strikes and are actually going try to make Daredevil Born Again a solid show since it has a big hype market and is still leading into MCU Spider-Man 4.
And Kevin Fiege is trying to distract us by having all the cast members from the OG show! My stepdad was all over the place saying I’m a mindless DC fan, and meanwhile Kingpin was disrespected. Thank you Captain Eric!! I’m so happy you’re feeling better man!!
But Kang is still a different situation, especially after Loki season 2 made him a mark in a folder for the TVA. Reportedly, Kang is still going to be the main antagonist of the multiverse saga so Michael Waldron has his work cut out for him intending to make Kang an actual threat again assuming Marvel doesn't shoehorn Doctor Doom after the Fantastic Four or Black Panther 3.
Black Panther 3 without Black Panther will make even less money than Black Panther 2 which was without Black Panther. Black Panther is T’challa! Not Shuri!

Exactly. And make Marvel films and series not required to be a shared universe. Blade doesn’t need to be an MCU movie to be good. Iron Man doesn’t need to only have adaptations tied to a shared universe. And I can name many more examples.

They should fire the man who has produced the most successful franchise in hollywood history. The marvel movies are disneys highest grossing films. even with all the missteps marvel they had projects like vol 3, wakanda forever, loki season 1 and 2, wandavision,moon knight, werewolf by night, the holiday special,hawkeye which wrre very successful. Right now they have an animated show that is very beloved. So no firing feige would be a bad idea because who would replace him.

How would you feel if Ant-man and The Wasp Quantumania did these two things :
1. Have Kang win at the end of the movie only to be revealed that it takes place in an alternate dimension.
2. Have Ant-man and Wasp defeat a different version of Kang setting up the real Kang in a Avengers movie.
The way the next avengers movie will be set up is that the avengers will fight the council of kangs.

Marvel has pretty much wasted all of it's best villains either because of bad writing or trying to keep things somewhat kid friendly. Gorr the God Butcher is probably the biggest offender as in the Comics he's one of the most brutal, vicious and genuinely evil villains in Marvel, infamous for his cruelty. Yet in the MCU he kills one asshole god on screen and outside of a few decent moments showing his more sinister side, he comes across somewhat like a clown, not helped by the fact the movie itself just sucks.
Could've made a genuinely dark and terrifying movie but let Taika take one last shit over Thor before they threw his ass out.

And then, to top it off, Gorr wants Thor's freaking ax just to open a portal to Eternity to wish all the gods away which renders his whole "travelling the world to kill all the gods off screen" pointless because he could've just invaded New Asgard, fight off Thor, kill him, and then steal his ax. But nope, we got to have a stupid movie.

I will say this and I think you would agree with me about this but the kingpin In spider, man into the spider verse felt a lot more brutal and and extremely terrifying.He's still a fine even for a PG animated movie They nailed his character plus it was done by better and Intelligent writers.
Kang and Kingpin are the perfect example of the meme: "Look How They Massacred My Boy", the fact they scrub this up so badly is baffling, when you consider they have everything crafted for Kingpin thanks to Daredevil on Netflix, heck, they already had a VILLAIN that was crafted by other artist and was treat with the respect he command..........THE GREEN GOBLIN, in No Way Home they allow Willem Dafoe to be as treating and scary as he was in the Raimi films.....they just need to do THAT with Kingpin and was an automatic win, but nope they had to disneyfied Vincent D'Onofrio portrait in order to elevate 2 F-LIST level street no one cares heroines like Kate Bishop and Echo, and for what? no one saw the show, or the film that they appeared (yeah the Marvels) and now they not only not have good heroines that people can like, now they have LESS VILLAINS to work in a way people can fear, at this point if they erased ECHO and HAWKEYE of the continuity and retcon the story or Kingpin to start over, I would not be surprise and actually would applaud this if they do it. With this record of forgettable, bland bad villains in the MCU, with the exception of THANOS and KILLMONGER.......how can we seriously expect they do a DOCTOR DOOM justice?

All jokes aside, don’t you think it’s kinda weird that Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) is actually a Spider-Man villain, but we never got to see him fight Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the MCU?
I’m already incredulous that the MCU is still going in spite of the stellar conclusion 5 years prior, albeit butchering A list non-MCU antagonists and disregarding their own content is inconceivable.

I'm already working on two. But I got covid, the flu and eczema all at the same time in March. And I have still not fully recovered from it yet. Hence the slower roll out of videos this past month.

This video was very amusing to me.
Why are we calling for feige to be ousted? He’s a big comic fan, he snuck comics on the original X-men set and has been leading the mcu for better and worst for 16 years. The real problem is disneys factory like approach to media with no time for the creatives to be creative. When James Gunn was given the right amount of time he turned out of the best mcu movies.
Also rebooting the mcu wouldn’t solve any of the systemic issues of production, it would just make the new mcu even more rushed, people would still be angry and probably say to undo the reboot. Like blame Disney not the fan who kickstarted this whole thing

Kevin Feige has really cross the line, kingpin was fully developed and done well in the Netflix series but ever since he was brought in the MCU, the studio just went soft with him and made weak and useless and that is the worst thing that marvel has ever done, Kevin feige should be fired and reboot the MCU and hire a new CEO that knows what he is doing.
I’d trust Netflix again with Daredevil rather than Disney. 💯 Disney Minus is overrated anyway and not worth wasting cash on. Also, I don’t really use Hulu. So Disney are screwed limiting their content only to Disney owned services and not licensing properties out.
The best thing that marvel should do is to give the daredevil rights back to Netflix and make it his own stand-alone show so that way kingpin can be a fleshed out villain again, Marvel should be ashamed of themselves for doing his character so dirty.

If there’s One Thing I will admit that DC does better than Marvel is that they aren’t afraid of showing Dark and Heavy Themes and let’s face it DC have Better Villains that are Straight Up Evil, Marvel seems to be struggling with their Villains not just because of Disney but for the Longest Time ever since Stan Lee’s Passing Marvel Studios seems like they’re either Lost or think they can do whatever they want, they can make Marvel Villains Sympathetic but they have to be Well Written and have to have a Complexity that you understand their Motivations but don’t agree with their Actions, Echo is nothing but a Bastardization from her Far Superior Comic Book Counterpart and in all honesty should’ve been Erased from the Company’s Computer Files than to releasing it, If Marvel’s Future will bring their most Popular and Important Franchises like Spider-Man, The X-Men, and The Fantastic Four with their Complex Storylines and Sinister Villains, they have to take Major Risks and Stakes because if they fail to this, then they Failed Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and Jack Kirby like how Sony is Failing to the Spider-Man Brand.
Knowing the mcu's lack of a sack, mcu spiderman 4 could be doa. Don't get me wrong no way home put him in a great spot, but after seeing this would it be worth it?

No. Because that is in the hands of Ryan Reynolds who was always a part of Fox's Marvel. I have no doubt that he will utilise the R rating correctly.

That kingpin scene is so cringe and I laughed so hard at it. Bearing this is my second time seeing it as I didn’t watch the entire show which I’m glad that I did.
Cause of this, I have no hope for born again I literally forgot this scene that’s how bad the MCU has gotten.
Honestly, I don't know what it's going on with t. M, c, u, but honestly it's villains, are not very good. The newer ones it feels like they're dying. Like don't give me wrong the MCU villains used to be really good back in the day. But now they're not like. What the heck is happening. It's like The M c u is getting much worse With new movies and TV shows like they really need to reboot the franchise and start from scratch. You know, kind of like a Batman style or Godzilla −1 style like I feel like they should do that. Reboot, the system have like the comic book style. Live action Marvel characters. Tbh I hadn’t bothered with these recent MCU shows because they just don’t interest me. I enjoyed Hawkeye and Moon Knight and have to watch Loki season 2, but that’s it.

Disney doesn’t deserve to own Marvel nor Star Wars anymore! By the way, the MCU needs to end! It can’t go on forever, and audiences are tired of shared universes and having to watch content content content to watch and be able to understand everything. I’m tired of shared universes. I just want good storytelling. Not content content content content. I’d rather the MCU ended and Disney lose the rights to everything Marvel.
