Me and the "Baby" will be out of town tomorrow so I put one out today. Just something I think about that keeps me on track with my health journey in retirement.
I work in the construction industry and spend lots of time crawling around buildings that are still being framed. Up until about 55 I never gave a second thought to climbing anywhere on a structure, but have noticed a big decline over the last few years in how nimble I am on the jobsite - I think a lot of it has to do with changes in my balance and my vision. Hoping to make it through the next 2-3 years without any incidents and then get the hell out of this line of work………🤞 I walk 3-4 miles per day and my primary motivation is to be able to keep eating good Texas BBQ without turning into a complete fat ass - another thing that’s easier said than done once you hit 55……..😂
Good subject for a video, Steve. Back about first of September, I had a bout with my blood pressure. Changed meds and got it back under control now, along with watching my diet and trying to walk for thirty minutes a day. But it’s not just about me, it is about us. We have to take of ourselves, so we can take care of each other. Take care. Robert
I love how you show us your love for your family ❤. How many years have you been married? How many children do you have? Love watching your common sense come through to us!!
Totally agree, Steve. When I think about my mom who lost my Dad 15 years ago. She needs him and he's not there. He didn't take care of his health so I get mad at him. I'm trying to do better myself since he passed.
After my heart attack I lost a bunch of weight and I now walk and ride my trike regularly. I don't want to upset my family like that again, or die for that matter!
Hey we didn't work all those dang years just to shrivel up and die. We have to keep ourselves in good shape so we have the health to actually enjoy our retirement. A membership to Planet fitness if you have one close by is only a little over 10 dollars a month.
Okay, that all makes good sense, do it for the baby. Here’s my problem, the baby makes me cake. I love cake. If I don’t eat her cooking she gets angry. Nobody wants that. I feel obligated to eat the cake to keep us both happy even if it means that I won’t be here as long to “help” her. When it comes to my other loved ones, in some cases anyway, I MIGHT love cake more. Just saying. This isn’t going to be easy, I can tell already. 😂🤣😂
I like your opening 'tag line.' Puts me at ease!
I love your intro, boss. It always puts a smile on my face. Thanks for the wisdom as usual.
Thanks for reminding me, I forgot today😊.

Looking good in a new hat Steve! Health is key, and love the views on helping everyone around you... great message Steve.

Good video Steve. Safe travels to you over the weekend.
Now that you have the time, spend it on yourself. Enjoy the time you have as it does end at some point, eat what makes you feel good. In moderation.
Truth! Great video Steve!
Good for you Steve. Stay healthy
Good message Steve.😊
Eating like a true southerner!

Very truthful
We do whatever it takes to keep ourselves motivated
God bless you 🙏
Good thoughts, Steve!
Well said
ordered myself a walking pad from Amazon. It is not always safe for walking in high heat, so I did another thing.
🤘
Throw a veggie or two in those meals. You’re eating way too rich. 😂😂😂
