Here's another Star Wars vinyl preservation. This is PART 1. PART 2 is a separate video.
The Adventures of Luke Skywalker: The Story of The Empire Strikes Back Part 1
Every. Single. Night. I listened to this album every night as I fell asleep. I still have the album but haven't been able to convert it to an mp3. Now I have it. Thank you for this!!
You are more than welcome. I hope you enjoy the quality. I still hear from people that swear it's from CD, lol.
@@TrayChester01 Yes your quality is CRAZY good! My record from back in the day has so many skips, that if I tried to record it onto my computer, it'd be nearly impossible to listen to! LOL...great work, my friend!
Super cool.
This stuff needs to be preserved.
Cheers from Canada
The Emperor is most displeased with your failed attempts to convert this record to MP3!
@@TrayChester01 The quality here is indeed amazing. I had this on cassette years ago and wore out the tape. Thank you for preserving this.
thanks for the memories! this album carved grooves of its own into my brain!
Had this LP as a child. LOVED it!
I had all three "Story Ofs" on cassette tape, purchased around when Return of the Jedi was out. In fact, I am almost sure this is the first way I experienced Star Wars and ESB. So these were incredibly important to me as a kid. I listened to them a lot, and thanks to them being on tape, could listen to them on Walkman riding my bike or in the car if no one else minded, LOL. I'm amazed the tapes never wore out. The editing on the ESB one is phenomenal. These were so superior to the read-along storybooks.
UA-cam kept blocking the original SW story of record, so here it is on Rumble. rumble.com/vdc22t-the-story-of-star-wars-side-1.html and rumble.com/vdc511-the-story-of-star-wars-side-2.html
@@TrayChester01 Thanks! I did notice another comment you made saying the ANH ones got taken down so I was going to ask you about those. You know, they also did "Story Ofs" for the Indiana Jones movies. I don't know if you ever came across those. Last Crusade's actually got a CD release. I tracked down the first two movies on cassette on eBay in the '90s. I think Raiders was hard to find on tape, more common on LP. Still easy to get on LP, as are TOD on tape and Crusade on CD. I think I never listened to the tapes though because I was afraid of damaging them, and the packages might've still been unopened, so they're stored somewhere in my collection now. Raiders was actually titled "Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Movie on Record" and unlike most of these, didn't use a narrator. John-Rhys Davies narrated Crusade and TOD was by Chuck Riley, who also did Return of the Jedi.
@@jedijones That is correct. I don't have the other two bur to have ROTLA on record. I recently was actually going to convert it recently, but didn't get around to it. That record is indeed a strange one with no narration.
@@TrayChester01 Yeah, I know I listened to it from some source years ago, and there were some parts with just sound effects. I think they expected you to be paging through the story book to see what was going on. That would be cool if you get around to posting it. The TOD cassette version is on eBay sealed for $16 so it's not too hard to get. I found someone put 5 minutes of it on UA-cam here: ua-cam.com/video/jTb-PYNKuHE/v-deo.html
@@jedijones TOD was here on YT back in the day but unfortunately got removed. I haven't been able to find a MP3 of the record since then.
I got this for christmas one year and play it every Christmas since
I wish I had This LP when I was little boy.
I Got
Star Wars New Hope The story.
I ❤ love The Empire strikes Back.
If you're interested in listeniing to The Story of Star Wars, I put it on Rumble. UA-cam in their infinite wisdom kept blocking it. rumble.com/vdc22t-the-story-of-star-wars-side-1.html
I had this as a kid. Ah memories late night in bed, I would listen. God, I wish I had these again.
I wish this was on cd audio that would be great
You can download this video and make your own CD. :)
@@TrayChester01 how do you download?
@@jeffdon4 Use a youtube to mp3 program. There are quite a few of them on the net. Worth considering the original LP's can be hard to find and expensive to boot too sometimes.

Comment made by "Mr. Obvious". Lol
Sorry but unless you're a 3 or 4 year old, the news you present is not, exactly, unknown.
Cheers.

This is a separate adaptation from the 1991 national public radio one right?
Yes, this is the "Story of" record based on the film. The Radio Dramas are totally different.
