way more solid than I ever gave them credit for. They were bursting with talent in an era of awesome and overplayed greats with a unique jazzy Americana our ears don't often get to hear
Introduced to me by my cousin in 1999. Took a couple of decades to really appreciate this band. The more things change - the more they stay the same. Ps: To you, who took their time to read this comment: May your ways be plastered with happy memories. ❤

Back in 1994 when i first listen to the dave matthews band, i felt i was listening to an orchestra, and not a band. You can call it "jazzy" or you can lable them has popfolk or whatever, but for me their are just great musicians with magical music arrengements, that should be in the ears of every new young performer that identifys himself with this kind of Artistic musical style! I was one of four high school seniors who didn't go to the dmb concert on senior ditch day. I didn't know how much I would love the band (until I was older). And now I am still waiting to see them LIVE 23 years later!😢😅

I was one of a few people in my college Bible study group who had NOT seen DMB. Such a tragic thing to admit. However, after I got married and my daughters realized how much I loved DMB, they bought my wife and I tickets to see DMB in the Woodlands, TX for my birthday and our anniversary. Still, hands down, probably the BEST concert I have attended - 100%!! My wife, consequently, became a DMB fan after the concert. She said "I have never seen such musicality on one stage. Not to mention the fact that the joy that they exuded off that stage by playing their music for us and into the audience was literally palpable the whole night! That was what made me a DMB fan."
I agree with the selection there are so many how to make a list. I enjoyed it. I use to be in a Dave Matthews tribute band. seems like a life time ago.
Lovely voice. He and Eddie Vedder have similar tones in their voices. First song shows it in the verse, it's like they swim in similar melodic pools. I love both their pools.
similar melodic pools yes, similar tempo but the voice sounds nothing like him. If Sting's kid sister had a son w/ Bono's cuisin, his voice would sound like Matthews. a couple songs i thought were Sting before i knew Matthews music.

We all know how beautiful and one of a kind they are, and this goes for any other group or artist. That's all that matters, they've done their job as musicians, and continue to

Just a nice sound with lots of good tunes that come together and make it pleasant to me. Not the usual yet very compelling. Jazzy!
Well said, I couldnt agree more They only made one band that sounds like they do.Jazzy easy listening and just classy. With a touch of humor
More people should know about this wow man I just found your channel so awesome

They were nominated for the Hall a few years ago. They were at the top of the fan poll but didn't get in. Everyone was upset.
I didn't know this. That's a miscarriage of justice. If Dolly Parton is in, then Dave is four jumps ahead or her. Good grief!
@@Sean-wp7st Dolly Parton is on the ballot now.
