Hey J, Great video. I am also a second yr SPT. My acute care rotation will be in the fall.
Thank you Bayo appreciate that. Best of luck in your rotation in the fall, lemme know how it goes!
My CI didn’t teach me anything, just expected me to know everything even though it’s my first level II. It’s been tough.
Im sorry to hear that about your experience so far, I hope it gets better tho.
Hello, I am looking at changing careers after 20 years and now i am a Middle Aged man. PT is not going to happen but what about PTA ???
nice to hear your experience. im at an acute care rotation now and still in the learning curve. hw many pts did you see per day?
Hey sorry im replying so late, I must have missed the notification. We saw ~6 or 7 a day! Hope youre rotation went well.
Hello! Im planning to get a job pike rehab tech in a in patient setting, what does rehab tech actualy does?
My friend is in his last semester of PT school. He is doing his ICU, ER, acute rotation and he has the worse C.I. She is a bully and is constantly putting him down by yelling at him in front of the patient, the OT, and the patients visitors, he has let his advisor know but the abuse continues. She is an employee of the hospital who happens to be his CI. This makes no sense to me because he is paying 6 figures for this program but yet, he is not being taught by the instructors??!! HELP PLEASE! Any advice..?
Sorry to hear that, sounds like a tough situation. I would talk to the school first to see if they can help out.
When you say pt techs are you referring to PTAS? or actual Rehab aids/techs?
I meant PT techs!
@@jkangdpt nice, maybe im confused then. I thought the PTAs were the ones to get report from the pt, check the patients, provide treatment etc and the pt techs were the ones who cleaned the rooms, monitor patients for signs/symptoms etc?...
Im in PTA school now so im still learning lol☺️
Thanks for your response.
@@cynthiawhite2289 from what I understand PTAs can do everything you mentioned regarding directly working with the patients but from my experience PT techs helped with checking in with the patients and seeing if they're ready to be seen (but they did not provide treatment). I think it largely depends on the setting what PTAs do, but yeah I hope that helps! Good luck in PTA school also!! 😊😊
@@jkangdpt thank you! Your explanation helped tons!
5:33 😂
maybe I'll do a paid promotion for them in the future LOL
