Congratulations! I quit my job June of 2021 and moved to Mexico to live a soft and easy going lifestyle as a digital nomad. I couldn't be happier!

Amen! This message is timely. After ending up in the hospital again (2x's in less than 10 months) due to stress and being overwhelmed at work... I'm resigning tomorrow. A job is not worth my mental and physical health. Jesus, thank you for your grace, mercy and guidance in Jesus name amen.

yes, it's the time for us to quit the hamster wheel...for whatever reason, the ancestors are calling for us to be free...they allowed us to see that what we thought we valued was taught to us by a system that values money over people...teaching us to work, at a job we hate, to buy things we can't afford to live a sick lifestyle until we die...we are choosing to say NO!!! right on sistar...

I'm 52 years old too and quit my job on April 29th. Looking forward to this freedom journey! Congratulations to you and everyone else who has made this decision.

This really resonates with me. I quit a FT independent contractor gig without another one lined up yesterday. As a Black woman in my 40s I realized that I will ALWAYS stay in roles where I am marginalized, not valued, and sidelined, if I don’t pivot now for my mental health and overall well-being, I walked away. I have been screaming with my heart that Black women need to reclaim JOY, FREEDOM, And FLEXIBILITY. This journey has been exhausting for us as a collective. Your message is powerFULL! Wishing you well in your journey! 🌻🌻🌻🌻New subscriber 💯

Clearly this is a movement amongst BW. I quit my job on February 4, 2022 and have not looked back. I was pushed to a point where I had to make a decision. My freedom and peace of mind was more important to me than that job. I feel much freer and am working on my mental health and rediscovering me and my femininity. What a blessing to have the clarity of mind to know when enough is enough. I found Stephanie Perry about two weeks ago and was glad to see I am not alone in my journey. Thank you, Dahlia for contributing to this topic.

I quit my toxic, well paying corporate job in September 2020. It was the best decision ever!!! I did plan my quit through with lots of savings and I am completely debt free!! I say that because people need to plan their way out financially so they can take a break as long as they need to without stressing about paying their bills!!! Yes, quit by all means.......however do it with wisdom so you won't hurt yourself IMO!!!!!!! PS: I found Stephanie Perry back in 2020.......great UA-cam channel!!!!

So happy I came across your video. I love the idea of black women normalizing quitting. Many of us have been programmed to force ourselves to "tough it out," "stick with it," and endure situations that don't serve us for way too long. These jobs are extremely toxic. What upsets me most is corporate does not care about work-life balance but pretend too. For example, offering pto but only allowing employees to use it based on "business needs." I'm quitting my 6 figure job to be a stay at home wife, unapologetically.

Thank you so very much lady Dahlia. I needed to hear this. I am with you, lets get freedom. I gave my 2 week notice on May 2, 2022. I have no plans to go to another job. I worked as an RRT in the hospital for 17 years, worked all my life and now I am soooo done. 56 and Freedom is looking good right now.

I have been learning how to day trade for almost 5 years now because I knew my Job as a registered nurse (24 years)was burning me completely out physically and mentally. On Friday, I completed a 7 day work week. When I got off, I put in my resignation. They ask could I stay prn. I said no. I’m breaking free and I will embrace my journey as a full time day-trader. I pray I NEVER have to work as a nurse again. I love nursing but not the politics, stress, and craziness of it.

Thank you for sharing your story and those 4 questions. I just left my extremely abusive corporate job a few weeks ago without having a backup position. Although I don't yet have a source of income, I'm working on some projects that I hope will allow me to never have to go back to working for a company again. I have no regrets with leaving, so much of my chronic pain has disappeared or been significantly reduced even after a week of leaving. I want to live free and feel free.

I went to jury duty for 2 1/2 weeks, out in my resignation, returned to work for my last 3 days then left; I quit. Not looking back, but moving on to what I really like to do and that's cosmetology. Training starts in 4 weeks and I'm signed up.
