I once found a wallet and i opened it.
Called the number inside and the person could not believe i returned it in tact! Nothing missing. They were so happy and gave me reward of £20

The lessons that we can take from this video is don't take anything that we found in the street / anywhere cuz that not ours even we don't know the owner. But if we know the owner give it to they back . And honesty is important than anything ..

Salam. I once found 50euros on a running stairs here in a shopping centre I picked it up and stood and looked around to see if anyoois looking for something. I didn't know what to do at that point because if I'd leave it there someone else gonna take it and for sure not the owner because the centre was huge and a lot of people were there. So I took it and held in my hand and still looked and walked towards the entrance. I worked there so I said OK I'll keep it if anyoolooks for it I will report that I had found it. There was a lost and found point but like u can't believe anyone who says they lost 50euros. So i waited allday and nobody reported it missing. I just did something charitable with it at the end. I had jo idea if I did right but I felt like whoever else found it would just probably hide it and use for themselves or something 😅
You did more that right. I know for sure that if I found it and there was no one looking for it I'd take it
Dear sister, in Islam if you see the money and know the owner you give it back. If you see the money and don't know the owner you have two options:
Option 1: leave it as the owner might come and search for it there and find it.
Option 2: take it but then you are OBLIGED to announce that you found money in the place you found it. This could be like telling the shops to put a paper on the walls and stuff like that. If the owner didn't come after 1 year then it is Halal to take it as it is now yours. Giving it for charity is not mandatory but of course great and better.

You accused the lady that she stole your money. This is not right. She found the money on the street. She might be in need of that and that's why she took that. Instead of her, there might be a homeless person.
From my point of view, using took my money instead of stole my money would be better sound.
If it was a wallet or a purse that you dropped earlier, where you had an ID card like driving licence and anyone was not willing to return after seeing that, you could say that.
No it was stealing, because the woman saw it fall from her pocket and chose to hide with her foot then take it to herself instead of giving the money back to Baraa, like everyone did.
