    I bought the exact same boat, but a 2017 with a 75, two days ago. It’s at a dealer getting checked over for the warranty transfer, an oil change and the water pump replaced (supposed to change it every 3 years, per Mercury). If you are the 2nd owner, you have 30 days to get the lifetime warranty transferred (for $100) into your name. The seller obviously took really good care of that boat. It looks like new (so does mine!).

    When pulling your boat, try to use more speed initially with a little more trailer in the water than gassing it up the trailer. What can happen is, by you gassing it while on the ramp, you could create a well at the bottom and push silt up into a mound right off the ramp. Just makes the ramp worse for the next guy and could eventually build up enough for one to bottom out. Otherwise, awesome boat. I’m currently in college and just got a 16ft aluminum project boat to work on. Cant wait to rip some lips with it.

      Hey Sam. Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated 👍 Since making this video I've changed the way I load my boat. I don't gas it anymore to get on the trailer. Nice boat. Nice video. Did the seller if say why he was selling? About how much did you pay? In FL, it's always a buyer's market. How and why did you decide to buy an alum bass boat vs. a fiberglass center console? I've had both and just sold my Tracker V14 (tiller). I'm boat shopping right now. Plan to run only in the FL Intracoastal and use the boat mostly for cruising and some fishing. Considering the Tracker 175 TXW or a 16 foot center console.

    • @X2OOutdoors
      @X2OOutdoors  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks very much! The seller sold the boat because he didn't use it much. It was in mint condition. I live in Canada and the boat was priced at $14, 900 CAD which was a great price for this boat. I'm sure in Florida it would be cheaper. I bought aluminum because I wanted a lighter boat. At the time it was because of towing issues but now I own a truck so I wouldn't have an issue pulling a fibreglass boat. I do prefer the aluminum. The center consoles are cool but never considered one. Preference thing I guess. If you're running Intracoastal I'm sure either would work out for you. Again it comes down to preference. My 60hp runs pretty good. Would love to drive one with a 75hp to see how much difference and feel there is between the two. Good luck with your search. Cheers!

    • @X2OOutdoors
      @X2OOutdoors  4 роки тому

      Hi Jonas. Thanks for stopping by. I don't know much about the Lowe's boats. Have heard they run at a lower price point then the Tracker. This is what I can tell you about mine. It's a 2015. I do love my boat. But would like to make certain changes to it. The Minn Kota Edge 45 trolling motor that came on mine works ok when its not windy. In high winds not so much. Would definitely upgrade to more thrust. The 60hp motor goes pretty good clocking in the range 32mph+ depending on trim. A 4 blade prop can make some differences as well for hole shot. I do wish I had the 75hp but I'm still happy enough with the 60. Storage is pretty good on it. I can fit all I need on it. Spacious casting decks. 2 live wells. Rod storage locker is a plus!
      I did make a follow up video to this one called The Boat- Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW
      Check it out to see the boat in operation and my thoughts on it.

    • @X2OOutdoors
      @X2OOutdoors  4 роки тому

      Hey there gr8tfish! Thanks for the sub and watching. It was a process finding the boat I wanted. I had deposits I cancelled on 2 other boats prior to this one. I felt this one was a good buy and had everything I needed. The largest body of water I took it on was St. Clair. On choppy water it handles pretty good. Rough water on St. Clair scared the hell outa me but still managed to get back safe. I fish mostly inland lakes. I'm all about the casting deck. Love it. I mostly cast shorelines and weeds so this is perfect. I've driven tillers and there alright but much prefer the console. Never got a mechanic to look at it because I went out for a test drive with the owner and felt confident in the motor running and the previous owner's care of the boat. I did make another video recently on this boat that highlights it more thoroughly if you care to check it out. Thanks again for all your comments. Tight lines!

      Hey there Michael. Thanks for watching. It really is a very good boat at the price point you can get them at. Hopefully you get yourself the new 2020 Tourney Edition at the show. I've had that boat in some crazy water conditions and it didn't let me down. My boat came with the standard 60 HP.
      It will do 30 mph no problem. I've even pushed 32 mph out of it but that was in perfect conditions with no wind or waves and trimmed out just right. I've often wondered about the optional 75 HP and what speed it would do with that? Since you're going to the show just ask what the boat will run with the 75. I am curious? Xplore 2.0 Angling Outdoors The 75 will do more than give you a few MPH on top end. The 75 will have a lot more torque. One reason is it has 126 cid compare to the 60’s 60 cubes. The 75 shares the same block as the 90 and 115 but is tuned for a 75 so the engine is not strained at all. The 60 is a great engine but I would go the 75. You will have more power when you are loaded more mid range and the motor will never be strained. Once, it’s more than a few mph on top speed.

    If all new boaters would do like you and learn about how your boat handles and how to run it the lake would be a safer place.The dealer should do this but most don’t even ask if you have ever owned a boat. I have bought 5 boats in the last 40 years never been asked not once.

      Thanks for your comment Harlan. I couldn't agree more. I was thankful to the previous owner for taking me out and going over everything. It definitely helped me out and I feel its made me a safe and respectful boater. Here in Canada you have to take a boating course which I did online to get my operators card but it still does not give you the hands on knowledge of boat operation. Dealers want to sell and push you out the door. I was originally going to by through a dealer but backed out and opted for a private sale where the owner could do a more hands on approach.
      Thanks for watching and tight lines!

    Can you pull tubs and skis and what not with that boat?

    • @X2OOutdoors
      @X2OOutdoors  5 років тому +1

      My boat has a 60hp Merc and I've had it up to 33mph with perfect conditions. I personally wouldn't pull a tube or ski behind me with the 60hp. The boat is available with a 75hp. I would with the bigger motor. I almost bought a G3 with a 90hp and that would have done the trick. I strictly fish from mine.

    • @X2OOutdoors
      @X2OOutdoors  5 років тому

      @mdo686 I don't doubt that it can pull the person up and keep them up. I found with 3 people in my boat getting it up on plane was a bit of a chore. Once its up there all good. Had to get one of the guys to sit on the front casting deck and it helped get it on plane quicker. For a couple of goes for fun with a tube or skier ok but if I seriously want to do it often I would look at a fish/ski type boat. Very nice setups for doing both.

    Went To the Tracker Boat center in Shakopee. Mn. to look at a used boat. It was crap so I looked at a new boat. They emailed me a quote including taxes and all fees along with a credit app. I filled out the app online overnight and went to the dealer at 8am when they open. They said the price went up overnight $1,505.00. They don't want to honor their own written quote that's less than 24 hours old. Then at 5pm I get a call and email saying...OOOOPs. Its the 2022's that went up in price not the 2021's. still want the boat? UMMMMMMMMMMM.

    • @X2OOutdoors
      @X2OOutdoors  3 роки тому

      I would definitely take the 2021 at the lower price. I don't think the boats have changed that much to warrant a big price increase in the 22. Then the dealer doesn't want to honor a quote? Unbelievable! Drives me crazy some of the practices going on out there.
      I got my boat used for a good price. Was well kept. I do enjoy it. Hope your boat purchase works out for you. Thanks for watching.

Wasn't aware of washout at the ramps power loading. I surely don't want to be an ass 😜 Most ramps I go to here in Ontario are concrete pads including the one in video. I've gotten pretty good at loading the boat now so I don't have to power load. But if I'm ever down in MI I will be sure not to do that 😁 thanks for watching 👍

      @@X2OOutdoors Thanks for the reply. Most launches in MI DNA ramps have signs prohibiting it and people will still do it. Even the concrete ramps can get washed out at the end leaving a drop off. Lakes here are at record high levels so we don't have to back in as far.
