The issue is caused by the systems running out of RAM. That's why it mostly happens around big airports, which consume a lot of it. Someone asked the team how they would tackle that on one of the streams and they explained that that they were able squeeze roughly 2,5Gb more out of the system plus some other optimizations. I'm a series X owner and hope they pulled it off without sacrificing graphical fidelity too much like when they pared back LODs in SU15, I believe
@ omg so true! It’s either black screens or CTD. You just can’t win with 2020. Sad part is I put so much money into the game and gave it so many chances. 2 weeks ago I decided to do a little hop from Charlotte to DC, black screen, took everything in me not to throw my flight stick into my tv
You should really do more research before doing this kind of videos, a good chunk of features you ask for have either been confirmed to be in fs2024, or there are plans to add them: Generic models: They have already confirmed that they made a lot of air traffic models to fill the skies in fs24, and are also working on getting license from airlines to get them in the sim. The pictures you've shown about the embraers and other aircraft where actually shown on one of the dev streams, they are the new models for air traffic. Shared cockpit: Asobo has said they have a working prototype and would probably come after the initial release. ICAO charts: It's been confirmed that the sim will come with LIDO charts. Which can be accessed from the efb, they will also get updated with every airac cycle. In addition you also have the FAA US sectional charts. More foliage: During the preview event at the grand canyon that happened in september, the videos that came from it showed a lot of foliage, it wasn't added in the technical alpha, alongside other graphical improvements, because it wasn't the focus of the alpha test. The foliage could also be seen in the xbox gameshow trailer that was shown earlier this year. Cloud improvements: There are cirrus clouds in fs24, they where also present in the alpha. Ground vehicles: They did confirm that they where working on getting them to work in a more realistic manner, but asobo hasn't really shown much of that for now. I would also like to add that crash physics are never going to happen, apart from the legal issues you have mentioned, they are in essence, useless for a civilian sim. It would also take a lot of time and effort to create the models of the damaged plane parts, implementing the crash system, which I think most of the playerbase would rather see it invested in other elements of the sim, like shared cockpit for example. There is however wear and tear in career mode, where you need to take care of the plane and maintain it, or you'll start having issues with it.
im sorry but you are wrong from beggining . they said that they improved the generic models to the cloud but the Generic multiplayer remains the same . ex . if you having another paint skin on your f 18 i see you with an airbus 320 . after 4 years . shame .
I'll give you another one. Vectors to Final. When ATC advise to "expect vectors" then it actually provides vectors. Otherwise just don't advise that I will get vectors.
Nice video mate - I really like your honesty and the rather neural view! Some channels with way more views should really act that way too. Some points from me as I also was a technical alpha participant: 1. Generic aircraft/ships/vehicles were still part of the sim and likely will stay being part of the sim. While MS confirmed they will have real life aircraft models for traffic and multiplayer they have a coverage of 80 to 90% of the active aircraft types. Especially when it comes down to military and vintage aircraft there will be some gap to fill and on top whenever some server stalls (especially the cloud database in which the correct models are) the generic aircraft will act as a fallback solution (that's how it was handled on the technical alpha it seems as the models were not yet in place). 2. Shared cockpit was confirmed to be not implemented day 1 but they also told it's one of their goals down the road. Nobody however will know if that's coming for MSFS24 or some other reboot (2028? 2030?). 3. Grass coverage will be on the final release - it was just left out of the technical alpha likely due to the same reason as above. The full library of streamed content was not in place, just some testing set. From official trailer material you can see grass and other details like boulders which I was not able to discover. As the trailers were also created within the simulator it clearly seems to be a limitation of the version we were able to get our hands on. When it comes to different types of fields I'm pretty sure MS/Asobo will expand the list further. In comparison to the 2020 version they can now add more variety anytime as it's just about streaming different vegetation from the cloud servers and only needs some minor configuration change. 4. Regional autogen seems like a good idea - it's basically tied to what I mentioned above. I think for now as a first step they may tie that to their biomes so chances are there you'll see some more tropical themed buildings in tropical regions. However I'm not sure if that's something on day one as they first have to see if the servers and architecture can keep up with what's already there. If everything works as expected I think they'll look into breaking down the system even more. 5. Player avatars outside of the cockpit won't be a day 1 thing and they at least by now do not plan to make this happen. Down the road this might change but it's currently not within focus. What I'm looking forward to is improvements on ground services, ai/live traffic and atc mainly as these three systems never played well together. Aircraft should try to avoid the player and atc should try to take care about separation, also default atc should not try to kill you by asking you to decent to 6000ft while in the alps when you are not even close to the selected approach. Also I'm looking forward to see more small improvements beyond what was announced like better airport lighting, pilot controlled approach lights, and more persistent puddles of water on surfaces.
I play an Xbox and the avionics blackout issue only happens for me after I turn off the aircraft and turn it back on. There is no way for me to turn it back on tge screen It’s so annoying because then I just have to get out of the Sim reload in the airplane and hope it doesn’t happen again. It also means I can’t land and and take off while turning off the engine and turning it back on.
For me it always happens if I do flights longer than about 4/5 hours, but also it randomly just does it sometimes too. I REALLY hope they've fixed this
Regarding VR support, IMHO it doesn't matter that you can't use your VR controllers that much, when using a hotas or yoke, which are better for flight sims anyway.
The black screen glitch on the Xbox player is so much worse than what he’s saying it does not just turn off your main screen, but it also locks the stick or yolk in the place that it was when the blackout happened and it locks the speed, brakes, flaps, and throttle in the same position that they were when the blackout happened it pretty much force of you to restart a new flight
shared cockpit is going to be a feature just later on I seen it on MS official post a while back. The reason why tech alpha didn't look great is I think because they didn't give access to everything hence the such small download size that should look better at actual release. MSFS will never have crash physics as say for example airbus who gave MS access to some documentation if someone crashes say an a320 and films it airlines could see it therefore damaging airbuses reputation also Jorg said there is damage coded just not visibly.
My thing about physics is they said some manufactures were ok with it.. so why not let those ones have cooler aircraft than others? Maybe and excuse to wait until 2028 to add so 2028 still has some new features?
Here’s the status of all these requests: 1. fixed. 2. fixed 3. TBD 4. Coming soon/in development. 5. I don’t know 6. Implemented 7. Unless you want your device to explode don’t think that’s possible 8. Added, in the alpha there wasn’t photogrammetry, that’s why it was generic and in the none photogramic areas there’s more variety now. 9. already implemented 10. work in progress, future concerns 11. Working on it, with players in your party. 12. Not happening
#13 Plain "out the window" view, no frames, no windshield in view, nothing other than the outside world as seen by the pilot, for home cockpit builders. #14 Real-time positioning of the airplane (latitude, longitude, pitch, roll & yaw) via external programming, so that one computer could run the flight as well as the airplanes systems, ad a second computer could be dedicated to the visuals alone (see #13 above). #15 fully undockable windows for all instruments, so they could be placed in dedicated monitors for home cockpit builders. Most or all of those features were already available in FS2004 of over 20 years ago. As visually attractive as FS2020 is, as far as the simulation goes it's really a dumbed-down version of the sim.
VFR eye candy is only one side of the flight simulator equation. I enjoy GA IFR flights, but everything seemed myopically focused on VFR graphics. Traffic AI from departure, enroute and arrival and traffic control sequencing instructions seemed non-existent or ridiculously simplistic and inadequate. How about putting some effort into these simulation systems of FS instead of just focusing on eye candy?
I saw a helicopter replaced with the a330/767 mix thing and it was spinning on the spot horizontally
I pray to God that black out issue is fixed, I play on Xbox and 2020 was a nightmare

Yeeeeesss they need to fix this it’s so annoying
@ so damn annoying ! It can be a smooth flight, then it’s time to land then boom, screens go black
@@MrJatariusStinson you can be looking out the window enjoying the scenery and then a multi hour flight is ruined

Navigraph going out of business 😂😅
Lido is coming
Operational Radar and CB clouds...
After the game launched we don't have none of this plus not even the windshield wipers work
100 % Degree!
Have you been to africa before 😂😂
bro did africa so dirty
yo, that was wild lol. he did us dirty.

I'm downloading the game 12:00am Tuesday
How?
The bad things in msfs controller settings, very bad and complicated..
