Isn't it amazing how calm the owlets are? Yes, I said days ago that Fall is a male and I'm still convinced of it. The little ones are so funny and confident. Thank you Jane for the ringing and thank you Robert for all the work you do with all the animals. Thank you to the man who filmed the video.
The baby owls are calm because they know the scent of Grandpa Robert. They know Grandpa has come to pick them up for some playtime and will gift them a trinket, an early Christmas gift. 🙂
I watched these two since they hatched, even when we went on vacation😊 These two are sugar❤ Calm and friendly owlets. Thank you Robert, Jean and the whole team for your work. If it wasn't for you Robert, these cutie's wouldn't have survived❤🙏
💕My family laughed and smiled with wonder, watching you and Jean ringing these especially gorgeous owlets on this beautiful autumn day. Thank you so much for all you do! 👏
This is the first time I follow a barn owl journey since they still an eggs.. I started watching your barn owl videos this year and wish to see the whole journey by live,, and this time I finally did it. It's so awesome so see how they growing up so fast from a tiny egg to a fluffy supermacy. I can't wait to see them be a grown up and fly to the beautiful outside world❤
Sassy Fall and her pantaloons and Autumn is such a proper lady. Beautiful babies, G & D made them but you couldn't have done a better job keeping them fed to the finish line. The "Feel this!" "Oh, oh nooo..." dialog between you was 👌😂.
How I longed to watch this video, thanks a million REF! Oh Autumn and Fall are even more stunning when you see them here! Beautiful they are❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤️❤️❤️ Thanks Robert and Jean 🥰🤗
How beautiful ❤️. Those little fluffy owlets with trousers 👖 on . Made me so happy watching this . Robert your so gentle with autumn and fall and that lovely lady is so devoted to those beautiful fluff balls. Loved this beautiful video ❤❤
What a precious opportunity to view this very special creations. Owls are like the felines in the world of birds. Calm and considerate. Isn't God great to have thought about such a wonderful species? Thanks bunches to Robert and Jean.
They sure are beautiful ❤❤❤❤thanks and blessings to those who care for them it's heart warming ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you Mr fuller have you painted these also?
Im sorry to say this but theyre kinda unappealing looking as babies yet SO BEAUTIFUL at the same time. I love watching them. Their fur on their wings looks like down.
Hello! I've only just found this channel and I am genuinely curious as to why there are organizations that "allows researchers to monitor populations and track owl behaviour." What is this sort of information used for? I love all animals especially owls and crows, they are my favorites. But the information that they gather, what is it ultimately used for? Are these animals endangered? Can they not just be left to live their lives without human interference?
Hello! In general, barn owls are plentiful and wide-ranged birds. However, a few decades ago their populations suffered from widespread usage of DDT, like many other raptor species; basically these birds would eat animals poisoned by DDT, and the chemical causes eggshell thinning (so new babies were not hatching). Nowadays, barn owl numbers have bounced back somewhat (with the population in the UK increasing a little over 200% since 1995, to roughly 4000 breeding pairs), though some specific local populations are still severely endangered. Moreover, barn owls still face threats like continued use of rodenticides (causing poisoning and/or diminished food supplies), habitat loss, and motor vehicle/train collisions. Population monitoring from organizations like BTO is how we keep tabs on this kind of thing. It helps us form a better understanding of specific behaviors, biometrics, and movement patterns of birds, so we can protect them in a meaningful way.
No these are Dryer and Gylfie's own babies that hatched from a second brood. She laid 5 eggs but only three hatched. Sadly the last chick didn't survive but these two are strong and healthy. They put an adopted chick in (Lucky) with their first brood that only hatched one, Uno.
@@margisama Thanks so much for this info, much appreciated! You know your barn owl babies, don't you! I love watching these! And they're quite soothing, don't you think? Thanks again and take care.❤💐
@@michaelcorcoran8768 I can't get over how very quickly they grow! Just amazing. I'm in the desert, nothing like this to enjoy but my homeland- trees, forests, don't let me start crying!! Cheers! Wishing you a lovely weekend!

The little one has such a sweet, worried expression on it's face. So cute
The way you so casually handle them is just hilarious to me, especially because of how little they resist

I always look forward to seeing the ringings. The 2nd Owlet looked at the camera like, Can you believe these Humans?!😂❤❤
Lovely owlets. Calm. They trust their handlers! Cute, thanks Robert!

Oh how delicate the feathers are on the wings ❤
they really are fascinating to see up close aren't they?
I like the way Robert is extra Yorkshire when he talks to Jean. Lovely to see the babies up close.

Autumn is being very Zen about this whole experience, while Fall is wide eyed and a little freaked.

♥♥ Brave little birds! Thank you, REF and Jean.
I've been waiting for you. It's really cute. thank you
So beautiful, thank you for taking care of our creatures
I only have one thing to ask, please update that ladder it has seen better days..the thin ones deteriorate quickly.
1:46 I can't with that face! 😆
That wing looks like the underside of a mushroom. Fascinating.
Fall seemed fairly well behaved for an Owlet in such a strange and unfamiliar situation! I would have assumed that he'd be on the verge of panic.
They're so calm i thought REF was joking and pulled out a plushie at first 😂 they're certainly as cute as plushies!
Those owlets are precious!
It's almost hilarious how chill they are
like if you love birds and robert E fuller👍
Wonderful , Wonderful!!🧡🦉🧡🦉

Lovely as always.
Autumn is when the leaves fall ☺️
I love the owlets and the tawny owl
Autumn is getting inderpendent love them
Im sorry to say this but theyre kinda unappealing looking as babies yet SO BEAUTIFUL at the same time. I love watching them. Their fur on their wings looks like down.
Has any of the Fotherdale ringed fledlings once been found far away?
The rings were how we discovered that Finn and Dryer had grown up in the same nest and we learned that these owls had remained in this area
Really great
So cute...
How is it the chicks are always so placid when they're being handled? I would have thought they would get scared and try to escape.
Qué hermosuras!! ❤😊
So adoreable
How long does it usually take you to do this process?
Around 20-30 minutes in all
Beautiful
Aw.... That means no more owlets or other babies until next spring....
❤❤❤
🥰
awe jewelry
Wait, where's the shot of them being pulled out of the sack while he's putting them back?!
Why are they soo calm?
What would happen when they grow up when their legs would become more thick. Won't it hurt
They ring them at an age where the thickness of their legs won't increase enough when they finish growing for the bands to constrict them
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Have the adults ever returned while the ringing is taking place?
