This does not reset your transmission. This procedure resets your throttle position sensor. You need ISTA or a high quality scan tool specific to BMW to reset the transmission adaptations.
I'm getting the "Trans Program" message and it's stuck in 3rd gear on my 1994 E34. Do I need to have the transmission module read? I don't know if this is possible on a '94

Low battery alternator or abs problems will cause it .sometimes bmw have a leak in soon roof and gets to the computer
