Chad and I seriously contemplated about living in Innsbruck for a chapter of our lives, because we loved it SO much!!! 💓 It literally had everything- insane mountain views, knee-slapping delicious food, joyous yodeling shows?!? 😱 Also, I kid you not, we said “the air smells so good” probably about 50 times while we were there hahaha. 😂 Anyways, I hope you enjoyed watching us experience Innsbruck! 😁 Next Saturday, we’ll be hopping over to Salzburg! 🇦🇹 🕯 Check out our little candle company - chadandclaire.com/shop/candles shop 🍺 Link to Gundolf Family Tyrolean Folk Night: bit.ly/3P642r1
You guys are the cutest! The hiking in business casual clothes convo cracked me up!!! Thanks for posting the names of the restaurants and stating what they are called on the menu - that's so helpful! I like the little nuances in your videos like showing you two sitting on a bench together but doing your own thing - him eating and you reading a book. Much love!
I'm so glad I found your videos. You are both well-spoken, witty and an adorable couple - and have inspired me to grab my husband and go travel! It's so clear that you enjoy each other's company, plus, your videos are well-produced, especially with music/editing and sound. Thanks!
As a person who lives in Austria near Innsbruck I can say that Innsbruck or even Austria aren‘t even that good In m opinion germany is better but I can‘t move there since I‘m just a teenager😒
Ah... you shoulda' gone all the way up! Thanks for the heads up about the Gundolf family, though. There's also a wolrd-famous bell foundry downtown, fairly close to the church at the bottom of the ski jump bowl. There's also a damn good blow-glass shop/factor down-river in an eastern suburb that's every bit as good as anything in Venice. And a great armements museum. And the renown coin-stamping tower in Hall (from which we actually got the word 'dollar'). And the best darn pizzaria I've ever experienced. There's TONS of things to do in Innsbruck!
This was a blast from the past. I was there in the spring of 1975 when I was 12. All I remember is the cobblestone streets and playing in some snow at the bottom of the ski jump.
Austria is wunderbar indeed. Nice pick on the ornament for the tree. Love watching you both relax a bit and forest bathe. In the 90s, I ran a resort that hosted about 400 guests a day for October fest shows very similar to what you did in Innsbruck (ours included a Bavarian buffet and unlimited beer). I still have my lederhosen somewhere in the attic, though it's been a long time since I shuplatted. I see from your dads post that its your 25th birthday, Claire. Happy birthday, friend. Many more smiles, and many more adventures...
Nice to see such a cute couple exploring my country. You should definitely come back for some more hiking! The most beautiful places are in the countryside and up the mountains!
OMG..Innsbruck is absolutely beautiful...a visit of hiking, eating and beer drinking during the adorable folk show! I had no idea it was such a magnificent abode of nature. If you love the SOMusic...you'll love Salzburg, the von Trapp family home. No wonder they settled in Vermont when they arrived in the usa. Enjoy...looking forward to the next adventure! Cheers from Wisconsin 🍺 👍 😊
Wow! The joyous yodeling made Kathy and I remembe the time we lived in Bavaria and also the movie European Vacation! Thanks for being who you are and thanks for sharing yourselves with all of us!
I am working in Innsbruck and live ca.40km west of it.Very interessting if someone from somewhere else shows the Town.I do not want to live anywhere else.
Claire got high on Joy. How perfect 😊 Austrians love beer and skiing the most. So it sounds like an Austrian winter snow riding soujourn with beer is the ticket for U2 🎟️
Hi Clare, wondering where you bought your sling bag and what brand it is. How do you like it for travel? Really enjoy watching your channel and travelling the world with you and Chad.
As someone who has been living in Innsbruck for close to two years now I am very interested about the train station you mentioned… never smelt anything similar 😂😂
Can you guys share the month and timeframe you were here? I know you said the end of the spring season but when is that exactly? We’re talking about next year April and we’re worried about weather! :)
Can I ask, what was the actual timeline of when you stayed there? Spring? Also, where did you stay in Innsbruck? We need details! haaha thanks again for the content! Two thumbs up!
I spent Xmas 1983 in Mutters, above Innsbruck, while I was a student studying in France. I love the calm perspective of your travel vlogs. The idea that you are taking the time to truly experience a country and not racing around checking boxes off. Can't wait to see what countries you visit next! BTW the salad greens are called Mache in French and in the US I've seen the same name used. Currently in Australia - nomading around the world!
7:11 It's "Knödel", not "Nodel". There are no silent "k"s in the German language (they are always audible) and the "ö" is pronounced like the "e" in "mercy", the "u" in "turtle" or the "i" in "Sir".
The greens you had in Vienna and Innsbruck is called Vogerlsalat. In English it's called common cornsalad or lamb's lettuce. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valerianella_locusta

Thank you - I will def. plan on attending that folk night, looks like so much fun!
wow, the concert really showed a lot of accurate traditional instruments and customs, even the wood cutting to the music is a real classic
Thank for sharing your trip! Innsbruck is one of my favourite cities 👍
Was there in Innsbruck just a week ago...truly, madly & deeply inlove❤❤❤ with Austria

Hello from France
the salad you didn't know is lamb's lettuce (valeriana locusta)
Yes, I was going to say that...Mache is the name!
as local, you never really do the tourist stuff. maybe i should try it. it can't hurt.

Has anyone gone in winter and do they recommend?
No place to buy food to eat in Innsbruck?
Huge portions of food, good if you're hungry 😅
Lowi
The greens are watercress.
no. Vogerlsalat (Austrian) = Feldsalat (Germany) = lambs lettuce
That was the biggest npc shit ive ever seen
It's a video about two people. Nothing to do with the city.
The greens you had in Vienna and Innsbruck is called Vogerlsalat. In English it's called common cornsalad or lamb's lettuce. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valerianella_locusta
The show looks really fun … never expected grown men in shorts slapping thighs and butts could be entertaining 😂
Hahaha the funniest part of the show for sure haha.
