First cover in a while where I wasn't sick with the flu during recording, this one was planned before some of the others, but I wasn't very motivated looking at the length and the length of the solo, but this one turned out very enjoyable to play!

Classic Metallica, simple, rocking, but arranged in such a way that is uniquely them. Perfect.
The first time I heard the song, I thought, well they kinda tried to make Sad But True the 2nd here. Oh well it was perfect timing with this one, it´s looooong and slow, but still a decent track for sure, I really like the Black Sabbath style slow part, before the solo...And You also did the solo, we are getting too used to that now, so we expect it in all songs in the future now hahahaha. As for the cover I think this time it´s sheer perfection, can´t be done better really. So I will give this one 10/10 also the solo was bullseye. 1st thing i caught playing it was the sabbath sound to it. Haven't listen to the album too much. Actually enjoying playing along with it. Getting a better impression of the music that way.
I saw Metallica play this one live last saturday in Amsterdam. It was sooo good! I just haddd to learn how to play it🤘

I haven't been touching my guitar since a couple of years, when discovering the new Metallica album, I stumbled upon one of your cover. Made me want to plug it again right away. There is something about your playing that makes me want to play along.
Since a couple of days, I've been playing countless hours, and I've changed a lot of the old habits I had by watching you (ex: Doing power chords with my little finger instead of my ring finger) which have really improved the way I put my hand on the neck. I can now developpe way more rapidly than before.
What a solid album 72 season is!!! I'm hooked! (I JUST got back from the show in montreal)
I have discovered Gojira too because of you! I went to see your gear and stumbled on the ''Archetype: Gojira'' video where Joe Duplantier Plays Silvera with the plug in. That is sick!!!!

I remember seeing Metallica in Cologne in june 2019, super awesome seeing them and got to see the thing that should not be :))) I bet it was a great show in Montreal!
I love Gojira to death, one of my favorite bands easily! I need to do more covers of them, I think I have like 3 currently which doesn't justify my love for them :))
I don't have any place to accept donations at the moment, I can see myself making a patreon in the future, but I don't feel like I'm consistent enough on UA-cam to justify it. I've been exploring your channel and I'm really curious into what made you do so many songs of 72 seasons.
Don't get me wrong, I personally really love discovering that album, especially since watching you play these songs. Not only that your technique and your sound are on point, but on top of that you are playing in a way that is visually easy to see and understand what's happening. This album seems to have so many little tweeks that makes Metallica's classic signature sounds and riffs even more colorful, even if it doesn't seems like it at first glance. The more you discover it and analyze it, the more there is...
I'm asking because i've been noticing that you usually seem to be doing way more heavier stuff, and I'm wondering what inspired you about that album that made you do even more cover than bands like Gojira, wich you said is one of favorite bands? or even other Metallica albums?
And yeah, seeing how your channel improved and stepped up since the beginning, I have no doubts something like a patreon would be an interesting move to do eventually!!

So I basically decided like months in advance before Lux Æterna came out that I would try to do the entire next Metallica album, because Metallica is still one of those first bands that got me into playing heavier riffs and I listened so much to all their albums back then.
So I figured I gotta try and do the whole thing, since I improved so much from when I was learning shit like Harvester of Sorrow and Orion and Frayed Ends and whatnot, quite a lot of those riffs I think I actually still could play.
Now doing that challenge did take quite a while, after learning about 6-7 of their newest songs from scratch in like a week, you can only enjoy so much of Kirk's soloing, which was a big part of the long waiting times, absolutely loved playing a lot of the rhythm parts and learning them, but covering Metallica I feel like you have to include the solos.
But yea after Chasing Light I covered 4 insanely technical songs because I missed it so much at the time, and then not too long ago I finally got done with Inamorata which felt very relieving!
Basically Metallica is simple enough to make it fun and enjoyable to get into every detail of every riff without it taking days for me to learn and nail, and I have always loved Metallica :))

I started doing the same, not with albums, but with the bands I love. I decided at one point to try and learn the songs I love from a band ( I did Franz ferdinand, AC/DC, and some local bands (I'm from Montreal).
It's a great way to step on the Guit and ask yourself no questions, like what to try or play next.
But to be honest, the thing I most lack is discipline. (I have and autistic kid so I need to put the ounce of discpline I never had into him). And when you stop for a couple week, you feel like you start at 0. But i've realised it's not entirely true, because I feel like every time I learn faster and my comprehension still stays. I can't play the riffs I learned, but I learn faster. I don't know If that makes sense...
It's still pretty amazing how fast you went trough 72 seasons!! It must be a really nice feeling to be at the point where you are to be able and have the discipline to learn songs at this pace!
Maybe one day ....
Till then, I thrive on learning at my pace and what you are doing with your channel is incredibly helpful and make it way more enjoyable!! And i'm sure I'm not alone thinking that. Keep it up man! (As long as YOU still have fun doing it!!)
