The way the guitar and bass mix in this song... Cliff was truly a genius for these riffs. Something I noticed too was that the bass was louder on your cover than on the original mix too. The fast riff Cliff does with the guitar as the backing instrument was banger. I also didn't realize the guitar played chords at the start along with the bass, that's something really awesome, watching you play gave me more appreciation for this song and now I wish I knew a guitar player (Edit: Just realized I have the bass on my headphones up so that's why I can hear the bass so well lol)
literally the best cover of Orion, hands down. Everything is great about it - the tone of guitars (the lead tone is basically the tone, which I see as my waymark in building my own tone), bass, drums, amps feedback, everything. Everyday I practice Orion for about 2 or even more hours, and everyday I put this cover like backing track. Keep on rockin', brotha.
Great job. This song kind of seems easy when you just look at the tabs, but to nail it is not an easy task. To me, this personifies Metallica and especially the Cliff era, which was the best even though they are still jamming.
Anyone else notice that he also tabbed Cliffs solo into the guitar. That is so fucking killer. And yet I'm so late to realize that 🤦🏽♂️🔥🔥🔥🤟🏾 #Metallica #RockInHeavenCliff
I used to play the shit out of this on my old Les Paul like last year and now I’m getting a new one this week. I’m totally about to start playing again 🙌🏽🙌🏽🔥 #RIPCliff #AllHailMETALLICA
Hey bro just wanted to say hello and thanks for helping me out so much every day trying to play the best track on the best album ever Thanks mate your killing it… So hard only picked up the guitar for 12 months after 30 years away for motorcycles.. Hooks are in and if it wasn’t for vids like yours I’d throw in the towel Take care man Chris 🤘🤝
Did this for the first time today and holy crap it was rough. I dìd 70 percent of 1 rm (480) in 9 mins (all doubles). My back feels good and i felt like my form was solid every time. Gonna take it up 10lbs next week and see how it goes.
I am a beginner and I was left wondering, what is that technique starting at 3:40 making that ambient whale noise? Does my guitar even let me play that 😅
EVERYBODY including songsterr has different tabs 😩 I’m just incorporating bits and pieces from like 7 different compositions at this point lol Thanks for the tabs man !
bonjour guillaume , excellente transcription ! dans la tablature la deuxième guitare à partie de la mesure 40 est elle incluse ? a te lire , merci par avance !
3:02 im doing this for my grade exam and struggling on the sring skipping with the fast picking. Also 3:07 with the run down the neck but thats more me practicing left hand. Any advice that could help me appart from like slow practice and stuff cos i am doing that religiously and yes im going slow enough that i can play it 100% of the time before i speed up.
I love this song, it's one of my favourite metallica song of all time. Good job on that cover man, atm I am trying to learn the whole song on guitar but I have some difficulties haha. There is one thing I noticed though: at 05:59 your rhythm doesn't sound like the original but I also have that problem....
5:05 onwards has to be to this day the most beautiful riff, bridge, hook what ever it is called ever.
It's a riff harmony and yes it's the most beautiful thing ever
It’s the riff bridge harmony
This and the first bridge on "One"
This one is definitely the Best tutorial i've ever seen on youtube
Thank you, that means a lot.

@@BenihanaDarkslide Yeah, that part is way louder and I love it. That's one of my favorite bass riffs, its my warmup riff
The solo at 6:06 to 6:25 is played by Cliff Burton on the bass
No shit
2:28 3:47 5:45 5:55 6:05 6:19 6:32 6:46
It's one of my favorite Metallica songs, and now that I'm learning to play the guitar, it's perfect for me to practice, thanks for the video

That damn harmonizing howling bridge is something special
That sound always growls in my bones
The caught lightning in a bottle when they wrote this.
Bc of the speed you say? I,m gonna throw the guitar against the wall

Thank you. Yes it symbolises the quintessence of Cliff’s talent
Yo I love how you did the vocals yourself
Wow. That was excellent
Thanks for the positive feedback 🙏!
3:19 I've been playing this for years now, almost identical, but for this part! Always felt a little dull, but never tried this so ,I'm off to try it!
I love this song…I want it played at my funeral…❤️
I don’t think any guitarist before the 1980’s read notes they just thrashed
The band formed in 81
I dont think thrash was a genre before the 80's
People been reading music for a really long time.
worst take ever
@@babieagle5711 right wtf
Absolutely amazing I'm gonna have to watch this a second time. Maybe even a third. Back to back to back. It's just that good. Well f'n done bro !
Brilliant! Best one out there and I’ll be using this as my guide. Thank you!
one of the best Metallica masterpieces
Anyone else notice that he also tabbed Cliffs solo into the guitar. That is so fucking killer. And yet I'm so late to realize that 🤦🏽♂️🔥🔥🔥🤟🏾 #Metallica #RockInHeavenCliff
Yeah it's totally awesome. And practical. Who's got a bassist that can play that section anyway?
I was wondering if he realizes it's a bass solo. People don't necessarily know, and he didn't indicate it.
I used to play the shit out of this on my old Les Paul like last year and now I’m getting a new one this week. I’m totally about to start playing again 🙌🏽🙌🏽🔥

@@MKDumas1981this definitely is the best Metallica tab I’ve seen. I usually would use my ears but I really love this one for sure.

Nice work by boy. I’m about to cover this too! Hope it comes out as good as yours
One of the best songs ever

It's a volume swell, basically you play the note with the volume down and turn the volume knob up and down
Great playing man, hats off !
❤i was looking for this
whoa this just taught me to read tabs.
Rien que de l entendre c est magique.

Merci beaucoup l’ami Boz ☺️. Si j’avais le temps…
the part at 6:09 is played by cliff and not by kirk or james.
gorgeous
I was just thinking, man this is killer guitar playing, then I saw the name, G V, ah of course.

Great job!
Minute 1:26 is so difficult to get the timing right I’m struggling.
3:47 the second solo starts

My favorite album of metallica but I don't know orion we have practice 3days or 2days because to know properly for me
fantastico hermano!
First of all, great cover. If I may point out one thing though….the tabs are slightly ahead of the music. I don’t know if that’s a video thing or what
WTF eres demasiado bueno, MASTER!
Le kiff total!!!! Bravo
Hey man awesome cover! What is the flying v that you're using called and the brand?
Sounds so close to the real one I would mistake it for it. The only thing missing is the chorus effect during Kirk's first solo.
I wish Kirk’s guitar was louder in the studio version so it sounds similar to this in the middle part :(
Thank you. Cheers
Thank you so much! For the palm mute, do you palm mute the open strings or the notes the fingers are on?
I just finished cleaning up 🤮 your skill set makes me sick your so awesome bro never quit playing.
Thank you for the cheering comment 😊
Nice
Thx so much 👍👍👍
Magnifique 😅
Merci 🙏
Fking awesome \m/
Dope interpretation cheers mate
Well it seems like 3:40 that lead it's all done by cliff on bass. Not sure
THX BRO .
such a fun song to play
Well done.
