This was the end result of everything I learned while making Me and My Shadow over the last few years. We actually had this idea way back in '95 and were making it as a short film with ourselves dressed in cheap Star Wars costumes and such, and then it imploded. Only recently did it occur to me that maybe I could use After Effects to do some of the same gags, so 27 years later, it came back off the shelf.
Given that the actual author is out of the picture, I think Star Wars needs to be done with. I'd feel the same if some studio bought the rights to Tarantino's films and made a sequel to Pulp Fiction without his input. That would be a disaster.
This is so good, I don't know where to start. Uma Thurman with Leia hair buns made me lol, so I suppose I'll start there. I hope this gets you some attention to your channel.
Thanks, but UA-cam's algorithm will make sure that can't happen. Apparently they like to stick you in a category, and if you go outside that category, they won't recommend you. They seem to have decided that my category is Twin Peaks videos, so anything else I make gets squelched.
@@Corn_Pone_Flicks which is funny, because I have zero context for twin peaks having never watched it, but it keeps bumping its way up my recommend 4 u.... Ultimately we must remember all technology is made by people...
@@Corn_Pone_Flicks The Princess Leia hair Buns were first seen in film Switchblade Sisters (1975) a Movie Tarantino bought the rights to because he copied so many elements from it for Kill Bill. It's an awesome flick about an all girl gang. The Gangs original leader is named Lace played by Robbie Lee and around halfway through the movie she does her hair with those Buns on the side of the head she even braided in metallic fabric into the buns. One woman named Patch has an Eye Patch that QT copied for Elle Driver in Kill Bill. Tarantino released Switchblade Sisters on DVD and he even did the Directors Audio commentary with the actual director Jack Hill which can be found on UA-cam. I watched the movie 4 times now including once with QT and Jack Hill's commentary tracks.
There was a stop motion animation in the 90s online using star wars action figures sometimes referred to as Quentin Tarantinos Star Wars aka Kung Fu Kenobis great adventure. It was very short bit funny. The funniest part of this was Christopher Walken holding the Lightsaber saying he had this " uncomfortable hunk of metal up my ass for 2 years" quote from Pulp. So we'll done. Very funny.
In spite of my being a subscriber to the channel, the fickle nature of the UA-cam algorithm and notifications system means that I must have missed this the day it came out, such that my first exposure to it was when Dave played it to a surprisingly still well-attended crowd around 2 AM at Anime Hell 2022. Even Neil wasn't quite sure what tools were used to construct this one, but a look at the comments reveals that this modern-day successor to the X-23 style CPF offerings was done in After Effects. Excellent work, as always.
This was originally going to be the follow-up to Corn Dog 7, and we actually had started shooting it in some shitty homemade costumes, but one of the participants just never could manage to show up, and gradually it just died. 27 years later it got a new lease on life thanks to all the new tricks I learned in the process of making an actual film.
Obi-Walken Kenobi giving Luke his father saber made me LOL (that, and the Bear Jew)! Would rather see this flick than the last 3 Star Wars prequels put together!
oh gee, the cuts, the timing, i'm transported back to tape trading watching days~(and i only mean that it reflect your indelible touch, not that its old or bad) thanks for putting this up.
I'm guessing you remember our '90s output. Thing is, this was supposed to have been made back in '95, with us in costumes and the like, and we even started shooting it, but it fell apart shortly after beginning. I never thought I'd ever go back to it.
Nice work. Especially especially the eyebrows & beard on Yoda. I just watched Kill Bill last weekend. I recently read that Quentin's tenth & final film could be Kill Bill Vol 3.
No, I haven't. You don't know me. Obviously this is not really about Tarantino's final movie. That IS, however, the subject of the joke. Lynch isn't. No matter what anyone thinks, this isn't and never has been a Twin Peaks channel.
I presently have no idea. I'm still refining the film-this project was a sort of mental cleanser, a chance to have a bit of fun so working on the film constantly didn't burn me out. I'm back on it now, but getting a distributor is the sort of thing I know nothing about. I certainly don't want it to just go on UA-cam to die, that's for sure.
@@Corn_Pone_Flicks I’ve throughly enjoyed all your Twin Peaks stuff, and have watched each of your episodes more than once. Thank you for all of those. Re T’s 10th Film, I was trying to humorously express how I thought it was (another) masterpiece of yours, and deserved serious study and analysis. So much for my stand-up career. As for film school, that will have to wait until I finish reading the internet.
I'm blown away by how well edited this is.

Hi Kenny!
This is the energy Star Wars actually needs.

The Bear Jew!
Still the best thing on the interweb

2:49 Ouch.

Thank you, I really needed these laughs...
Great parody! If this doesn’t go viral, I’ll eat my Nikes.
Don't make promises you'll regret. My dogs may disagree, but I'll wager shoes taste terrible.
A daring "daring(daring[daring synthesis]synthesis)synthesis" synthesis.
You should be fucking proud.

It makes me happy for some reason that you worked an Ewok in. Great job!
It felt somehow appropriate that Ewoks are possibly the least Tarantinoesque thing imaginable.
So bizarre, and yet so good
that was a VERY ipressive edit, fantastic work man
...and still better than anything Star Wars related produced by Disney.
New sub here.
Why do you think there's not a frame of anything made by Disney in this video? I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of acknowledgement.
@@Corn_Pone_Flicks Perfect.
Man this was incredible. You are an under appreciated talent in this platform. Thanks
maybe not a question of "if" but rather "when".... hey great fun, nice job and all that. You da man!
Superb!
Brilliant!
LETS GOOOOOO
Genius
I've already watched this 6 times.
2:32 Now I am convinced that this is a Tarantino film.
Hahahahahha I was just about to comment no feet = no feature film by him

The feet for uma, was 👩🍳 💋
I was shocked when I saw the view count. This deserves to be played at the UN
It's only been up for a day.
Also...the UN?
Padme as cokehead had me rollin🤣🤣🤣

You need to direct the next Star Wars. It's grown stale, lost its edge.
Nobody needs to direct the next Star Wars. There really doesn't need to be one. If George Lucas didn't write it, it's just fan fiction to me.
Idk if it’s possible with IP rights and shit but send this to festivals and shit
Festivals don't show things like this. It's not a film, just a joke video. Also, you have to pay festivals to get your film shown. To hell with that.
David Lynch just confirmed S4 Twin Peaks in production!!!
not really
This has nothing to do with David Lynch.
@@Corn_Pone_Flicks or Quentin's final movie! Sheesh!

I've been putting the finishing touches on my first full-length movie, so things have been busy. I'll get back to this stuff eventually.

How’s this not a masterpiece
wow 🤣🤣🤣

i’d watch it
oooooo i needed this 😎😎
WOW BOB WOW
A MAN, A PLAN, A CANAL. PANAMA!
Magnificent! I now want to go to film school and write my senior thesis analyzing this trailer.
I know you're joking, but I say screw film school. Get a camera and start making stuff. Learning by doing is the best way.

The king returns!
Aragorn? Where is he? I've got this sword I'm supposed to hand off to him.
Harvey Weinstein killed me. This was fantastic!!
I think I can say with a reasonable amount of certainty that Disney only had a modest collaboration on this trailer.
