That’s awesome Patricia, I believe lots of illnesses can be. Western medicine needs to integrate the knowledge of the mind body connection. 🫶🏻 I know that my teenage Niece’s epilepsy stems from fear in her childhood and that she can be free of it. x
I had pustule psoriasis on my feet & hands. But I didn't know what it was. It drove me crazy with itch & pealing. After mths of having this, I was sent to a dermatologist. She took one look at my hands & feet an said "What trauma event happened to you that caused this" I broke down & cried. She nailed it, today I keep my stress level low & I remove myself from anywhere that doesn't serve me or stresses me out. Dr Mate is amazing, he nails it. 💜🕊💛 I NEEDED TO SAY NO at that time to an abusive relationship. I do say NO alot more now.
We have become hyper sensitive to the phrase "victim blaming" so we don't want to say that it is the persons personality or environment. So I am glad you are saying it.
My body said No when God took my toxic ex out of my life. Only when your away do you truly know the hell you were living in. Trust in God's plan. A better life lies ahead
As always bravo for Dr Mate's insight, especially at the end on the validation, and that on the unconscious choice. I guess the take awsy is we all *can* be more curious about our assumptions, standards we hold so dear (moral or immoral, that's a deep one) and expectations on "others". The world is getting smaller and crowded by the day regardless, if one still wants to just hold onto their own belief system, and judging other's, well, the consequences are pressing onto one all the more. Evety force will have a counter force. There's no winner in this zero sum power game. Just look around in the world now. Profound self-reflection and identification of one's source of resistance, is far easier said than done. Look *deep* into one's own shadow (programmed by one's culture) before pointing fingers on others, as that's the birth place for true acceptance of differences and perhaps, ultimately, reconciliation. There's no other convenient, diplomatic way.
In an ideal world, doctors would connect mind and body when treating patients. But we all know we don't live in an ideal world, and the more people on the planet, the less likely this will ever happen unless you are paying big money to see someone who does connect the two, and who can afford that? Doctors go for the quick fix in a bottle of pills off you go, "Next patient!" I am lucky if I get more than 4 minutes of my G.P.'s time. He starts by saying as you walk into the room, "You have 5 minutes," and he gives you 3 or 4. I love this talk, but I feel it's a pipedream for most of us, so illness, disease, stress, and anxiety continue.
Sadly addressing the root of issues and connecting the heart of the cause doesn't make Pharma any money 😢 so trying to find a doctor who cares to learn about the person, the human and their lives to help them try to prevent the issue so as not to need meds is like finding a needle in a haystack - Pharma and Western Medicine would rather treat people like cattle and rush us through with no researching the why, only giving meds to temporarily aleve what now is 😢
This is just the bio-psycho-social approach to medicine and has been well known and practiced by all good doctors. It gets taught in many medical schools all the time.
All doctors that I have met only talk about the problem like pain in my back, not asking anything with family issues. Same as for my parents and family. They don't ask anything. They might get taught but never practice it.
I feel like I can't say no to some things. Such as my son asking me to get together with him and his fiance. She doesn't seem to like me and I get so nervous that i dread it. I want to say no but don't feel like I can. I want to have a relationship with my son but things seem to get worse.
I just want strangers to feel comfortable and welcome , I go into hospitality mode. I’m going to remember and quote some of this. Maybe I could call my other dachshund Gabor if I have two dachshunds.
@ 04:14 - If only Aristotle had listened to Socrates, then the English language might not STILL be lumbered with such an entirely inadequate logic system e.g. use of 'same' [in 'all' respects] where common usage is to ignore the part in brackets. Since then NON Newtonian science has proven that 'same' in 'all' respects does NOT exist anywhere in the known universe! - It therefore follows that any statement based on use of 'same' is, by definition FALSE -TO-FACTS ! However it's OK to talk in terms of similar or degrees of similarity. - HTH?
It is a good book, but not new information. Arthur Janov said the same thing more than 50 yrs ago. This guy is demanding and getting way too many accolades.
I healed my epileptic seizures through changing my vocabulary. Learning to love myself. Ending the battlefield in my head.
That’s beyond phenomenal! I keep hearing my inner voice or whatever, saying meditation practice and be nice to yourself. At least nicer 😆

True, but that doesn’t mean people will actually implement it.

Try and find a good doctor. Not one has ever asked me about stress.
I noticed in my body when I don’t say the no, that my body seems to do a chemical melting inside. It’s now very noticeable and unnerving

He should be ashamed of himself with these false claims. His statements are debunked in the medical community
Have you reported on the covid vaccine blood clots? 🩸
Brilliant Question
I heard he’s a great supporter of Co.vid vac.cine… ;/
