- These are my handmade crimp ends or crimp end caps.
The most common piece of jewelry is worn around the neck. Pendants and necklaces come out in an infinity of variety with a chain, a solid wire or a cordage. When using cords specifically, it's necessary to set an element that allow to link the two extremities behind your neck. There are lots of options on the market, hooks, clasps, loops, caps, and ending of any kind but all machine made.
I wanted to make something organic that resemble the handmade style of my creations.
With an electrical wire terminal that it's crimpable and a bit of copper wire, I made by hands what I had in mind.
If something seems missing, or it's not very clear to you, there will be more explanations in my blogs.

CuForming is a project of passion born from our love for both science and crafting.
Since 2018, we've been exploring the fascinating world of electroforming, where we merge the wonders of electrochemistry with geology, botany, zoology and the artistry of crafting.
Copper, with its versatility and beauty, is our favorite material to work with, and our designs are inspired by the intricate textures found in nature.
Through experimentation with chemicals, various materials, and the electroforming process, we create unique pieces that celebrate the intersection of science and art.
With inherited skills in electrical engineering, painting, sculpting and materials assembly, and the curiosity about new technologies such as 3D printing, CuForming is where science meets creativity. - Навчання та стиль
some real wizardry taking place here.
oh that looks nice
Thank you!!!!
@CUFORMING HELLO WONDERFUL VIDEOS. I have only just started with electro forming. Question- I’m of the understanding no type metal such as aluminum, steel, iron, etc can go in the bath. Your opinion please, and thank you!
Thank you!!! It's an interesting question that needs a very long answer. Basically any conductive surface can go in the bath to be plated. Almost any metal, but some require special preparation, such as oxide removing, though. To avoid contamination of iron, it just needs to be connected to cathode and live, with the current on. If you put a loose pieces of iron or steel in the bath, it's gonna contaminate your solution. The same could happen if you hang a piece of iron or steel on the cathode without current. I don't have any knowledge about other metals contaminating the copper electroforming solution. Not any kind of steel can contaminate the solution, and some kind of steel can be plated without current. This is a long topic… I could go on all day. My advice is to experiment your self… it's gonna be fun, trust me on this.
