- Painting miniatures for the homebrew player race I made almost 10 years ago. I talk about the creation and reception of the mousefolk, as well as the initimidation that comes with following up a successful project.

I am absolutely here for the main focus of this vid (I actually have two Reaper Mousefolk on my desk to be painted!) but can I just say thank you for showing the technique you used for the leaves, as I'm definitely going to be using that going forward.
Oh man, glad you found use in the video! The leaf hole punch I was using is from green stuff world. Make sure the coffee filter is 100% dry before you cut out the shapes. Have fun!
Your projects are great, don't feel bad because 'they never really materialize into anything', the journey is the reward!
@@SlavicMoose I totally agree 👍
Very cute!
Reminds me of Mice & Mystics!
Yeah i love that aesthetic!
I have these guys, love the bard and the little warrior with the sword and shield especially
they have so much character! I love them.
I can see them in a little mouse village happily doing there thing
They are very adorable, thank you :P
this is the most adorable thing ever.
Subbed because you deserve it.
aww thank you! I'm glad you liked it : D
Lovely mouselings ❤❤❤
Thank you!
Great video production as well !
Thank you! 😁
Would you mind sharing your methodology when painting fur with miniatures sculpted like this? I've been struggling to get something above a tabletop standard with fur on minis that dont have large clumps sculpted. Absolutely beautiful painting
Hey thank you! Yeah doing the for these kinds of guys is tough. Basically I base coat the fur all over with the dark color I want. I then paint in a bunch of small sharp lines next to each other on the majority of the surfaces that would be catching the light. I repeat this process with a brighter color, but I don't cover the entire previous layer. We are building up texture in layers. Cover areas that would catch highlights, but leave some of the previous layer showing towards the shadows. Repeat as many times as necessary to build up the highlights and texture, covering up less and less and focus on the parts that would catch the most light. I then took a thin glaze of the mid tone color I want and do a few layers all over the fur to blend the colors and tie everything together. On some of these guys I had to go back and highlight a bit more over the glazed areas. Keep going until you are happy, highlighting and glazing. Vincent virtruella has a good tutorial that I learned this from on his channel "hobby cheating." Hope this helps!
@@thecozypainter Thank you so much for the indepth reply. I have around 20 mouslings from years ago and recently been painting anything close to anthro up for burrows and badgers. I will be trying your technique next paint session! thank you again ^^
this is great my friend
Thank you, thanks for watching it 👍
I like your mice and purse. Kinda wanna see a scifi version. Cybernetic eye and robo arm. Laser guns and a highly evolved cephalopod as a pet.
That sounds cool! I wonder if a company seems anything like that
@@thecozypainter idk you dont see many cephalopods represented in miniature.
Those mice are so beautiful painted. Thank you for showing the ugly phase of painting, that phase for me is the hardest to push through. You have inspired me to do better and keep going . Did you design and print the mice yourself too?
I know that feeling, I go through it every time. Gotta trust the process! The miniatures are "mouseling" from Reaper miniatures.
Wait that was YOUR doing?
My table mate brought a mouse rouge to our last session
That's awesome! I love hearing about people using the mousefolk. 😄
These mice look so brave!
They certainly are! That's one of their characteristics in the game. Thanks for checking it out! 💕👌
Nice bro
Thanks 👍👍
I strongly believe You should get more subscribers.
Aww thank you! 👍🥰
Super cool! What minis are those?
Thank you! they are "mouselings" by Reaper
For the Algorithm!
Haha thank you! I always appreciate it. 👌
