    In Germany this thing is called CPI Hussar

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  9 днів тому

      There are other sort of similar CPI scoots over here, but we never got the Hussar. The original stuff, like the engine cases, are marked CPI. The 2008 and later stuff is made by Baotian or something like that.

      Im planning on buying cheap Chinese fork with 250mm disc and same caliper as yours. I will need to make adapter for fork, but I hope it will be worth it because of oem forks being lubed with grease not oil 😅 Tell me how does this disc work so far and review my plan with fork, keep up the good work 🎉

      @@kornelmag6943 The 220mm RPM setup has been on the other one, T2, for over 5 years. Not sure exactly how long. On one set of wheels, I keep getting vibration after hard braking. On another set of wheels it has worked brilliantly for 2.5 years now. I think something is off with one of my front wheels and most likely the issue comes from that. Short answer : I like it.

    I still have a 1e50qmf I bought from Scrappy Dog Scooters back in 2015 that's been sitting around since brand new.. I have yet to find a Vento Triton to swap it into😮‍💨😮‍💨

      Wow. I mean... there are plenty of other scooters that use a Minarelli or clone. If all else fails, I'd imagine you could sell it for more than you got it for since they're very hard to find today.

      You know the deal with that. Some people are really happy with 10 minute videos and nothing more. Some people like the 30 minute plus stuff. Doesn't feel like there's a right answer for me. That said, I started getting the video together Wednesday and spent 13-14 hours on the PC Thursday to be able to upload in time for a Friday release so it worked out well that way.

    Man, nice to see a channel that has quality videos in English, about scooter tuning, but also the 1e40qmb, as it is somewhat rare, but still a OK Chinese engine.

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  9 днів тому

      I like the 1E40QMB. I've built many of them, all the way up to 110cc. The gearbox on the long case isn't great stock, but that can be fixed well enough. The cases have a little more meat than some of the Japanese and Italian versions. With a build like this, not much is actually left stock.

    Hi Brent. Hope you can help. I have a new SYM Orbit II 125cc air cooled, carb model. It has done 105 km only! At town speeds (40 - 60 km/h) with light throttle it has a bad irritating "orbital" vibration - like a very bad wheel bearing on a car. This does not happen under power (accelerating with full throttle) - only at low throttle between 40 - 60 km/h slowly going up and down that speed. From 0 - 40 km/h and above 60 km/h it is absolutely fine. I have checked the belt, variator, rollers, clutch, gearbox bearings, all gears, rubber bushes to the engine/frame.... all seems OK. What else can I check? (Dealer says "this is how they are" however my friend also bought a new one two weeks before me and his does not have this issue...) Where else do I look for the cause of this issue? Regards!

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  7 днів тому

      The throttle position mattering doesn't fit so well with this, but I would at least check wheel bearings and wheel balance. I'd be curious if it was at a specific RPM.

    I still have my 1996 Jinan Qinqi minarelli horizontal replica, still going strong in 2024. The starter gear doesnt engage anymore (common issue) and the exhaust is rusting off but it still runs great and is reliable! I painted over the fairings like 3 times, and half of them are broken and hanging on with zip ties.

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  10 днів тому

      Did you buy it new? I thought a 20 year old one owner Chinese scooter that's not total junk has to be somewhat rare, but maybe not.

    • @calculus3661
      @calculus3661 9 днів тому +1

      @@49ccscoot i got it as a gift from a family friend, so im technically the second owner. He put 6k km's on it in about 15 years and I put another 20k on it in about 5 years. I have to be honest, the more maintenance I do the less reliable it gets. The airfilter boot is completely stiff, the carburetor has become one with the mud and i'm fairly certain the only reason I dont have a leak on my intake rubbers is because its completely coated in grime.

      I'm not sure if that's a great idea, but they are kind of fun. I want to get my TaoTao running again in a way, but then I think going from riding a TMAX 500, RC1 and TPR 86cc to a 49cc TaoTao won't be a blast.

      I'm running a s6 racing liquid-cooled cylinder 70 CC, 24mm s6 pwk 36pilot 112main, yasuni c16 , and I also have mvt illuminate inner rotor ignition ,it has the stage 6 upgraded mechanical water pump, I'm using 99-02 KX 250 radiators with no fan. I don't see temps over 145f. And thats like heat soaking at a stop light. Normal is around 130f. I don't know how hot it should get to be normal. I was having tuning problems with the power jet in the s6 carb so I did the block off jet to stop the PJ from working. So #1 what temps should I be seeing? And #2 where should I have base timing set to as the instructions said to set at tdc and it wouldn't run. I believe I'm set close to .35mm btdc.

    • @49ccscoot
      @49ccscoot  10 днів тому

      @@traviswilliams9455 Mine will run 100-150F, depending on temp and what I'm doing. Most of the time 110-130F. Can be below 100F in the winter, but I prefer it to be at least that warm.
      For stock stroke MVT says 0.4mm BTDC. 0.35mm BTDC for longer stroke.
