I really like this technique! I watched a couple of other artists pour this technique and saying that they learned this from you. So, I searched and found this video. Now I have to try it!
Wow, what a difference between your two experiments with these paints! Very impressive how the held their shape when stretched and wow, the finished, dry result is amazing. Gorgeous! 💖💖💖 Thanks so much for sharing 💕💕
While I don't think these paints work for every technique and they are costly, I really like how they turned out for this technique! Love the finish too! Have you guys tried them?
Personally I love these paints. The colors stay so vibrant. I’ve done a dirty pour, ring pour, other pours and they are so fun. You can also get artist loft silicone to add to this pre mixed paint. I love love love them. A little pricey but worth it. 😊
Have you ever used Tempera paint. I just did a flip cup pour and it turned into a globby mess. I finally got it to cover the canvas, I thinned it with water but it seemed like the water did not want to mix with the paint. Probably won"t use it again.
Molly that painting is truly beautiful and amazing girl.. Well done! 👏 What a lovely shine too. Great colour combo. I think l should buy this one! Love your work sister!
This painting looks cool. I’m a beginner and only use the Artist Loft Ready Mixed Pouring Paints and have done a flip cup, tree ring, traveling tree ring mixed with ribbon, a swipe and colander. I think this paint works well. Then again, I’m only a beginner. I have the new Arteza ones. I still haven’t tried them yet. Thanks for sharing. I’m going to try this wreck a ring next.
I’ve experimented multiple times with these paints. They are too thin straight out of the bottle as you mentioned, but I find if I add a shot of glue to each color, it thickens them up just enough to get a really good result. I’m a big fan! They have a wonderful shine! Your painting is gorgeous btw. If you add about an eighth of a tsp of glue per ounce of paint, You will have more success with multiple techniques. Like you said, if you can get them on sale, they are totally worth it in my opinion.
Yes, gorgeous painting as always Molly your color pallets are beautiful. My theory on why the rings stay so well defined is because the paint density in the ready mix is 100% exactly the same for each color. When we as artists are making our own pouring mediums using different paint types and brands (as I do) there is no way to make each mixed color exactly the same viscosity. It is my goal in life to perfect that. I'm testing a new recipe today....fingers crossed.
I’ve tried these pre mixed paints. The colors stayed very true and dried very shiny. I do like them for certain things. But I’m only a beginner. I did a small colander pour. It was not so good. Love your painting. 💙💜💙💜
I dont normally use glue all unless I am working with silicone as it has a tendency to yellow over time. But I might try some golden gel to thicken them.
Molly very beautiful painting. Where do I buy ready mix colors? I looked on Amazon under ready mix loft and not sure which one to get. Thank you for your time . 🙏🏻
Question since I just started doing pours and I have a couple I was not happy with after drying, how do you prep them to use canvas again. Would it be advisable to cover with Gesso let dry and paint over? I scraped a couple of the very first ones I did and just repainted them then but not sure what to do with the dry ones. BTW. I love your wreck a ring pours.
Yes, you can cover with gesso and sand down. I have also just painted over previous pours, but if there is glue at all in your mixture it has a tendency to crack in my experience.
Guess I prefer to mix my own! But what did you say was the problem when the white base coat seems after sitting a few minutes starts to “ swallow “ the colored paints and the design is basically lost ?!?
I love it, so beautiful! I call the other one a wrecked calendar pour lol. I like the premixed artists loft paint but they don't work well with ones you mix yourself I found out, but I do like them for other kinds of pours.
Love it! I did a similar pour that looked awesome wet, but cracked badly along the white (which was house paint and US floetrol) when dried. It seems to do well on its own, but doesn’t seem to play well together with other paints.
Yes, depending on the brand and finish, it will dry faster and crack. I normally use it as a base only. I use acrylic paint for the inside of the pours normally
Yeah it turned out great!!! I have been using it but it does not play well with other paint and mediums. Probably because of the thin consistency. The best thing about it is the high gloss finish.
Hi Molly, you are awesome as an artist and as a person. Thank you for all tutorials and for all your advice . Even the way you let the paint dry in the cups so you could pull it with fingers. And many more. I just watched this tutorial and I love it, of course! And looking how you move the canvas I was wondering how You don’t get all this crooked lines. I hate this kind of lines but when I move the canvas I get them. Is there any secret?
Thank you so much! I tilt the canvas on a circular axis plane. It's all about tilting to not get the lines all wonky. And a thicker consistency paint helps.
I have been trying to get some everyday check online out out out gone to Michael ‘s two colors out out of all others . I have tried for months to get at least four colors but no luck ? Has anyone else had this problem??? Molly it is beautiful!!! Can’t wait to see you use arteza’s !! Thanks lisa
Please let me know how the Arteza ready to pour paints turn out! Also by the way I loved the outcome of this one amazing job Molly, your really inspiring me to want to do more fluid acrylic paintings!
I have tried these paints on tile and wasn’t crazy about my design so just tried pouring over it when it dried and the paint lifted. So if you like your design it is a really pretty and glossy paint. I just wouldn’t put any kind of finish on top. Your painting is lovely
Can you please do a Dutch pour with these paints? This is beautiful. I just love Dutch pours and would like to start trying some of my own and want to know if these work for it.
I tried this premixed paint and it was way thinner than I have been mixing my paints - I was super surprised when I went to tilt and they almost ran off the canvas! Just wish they weren’t $14.99 per color.. it’s hard to purchase 4-6 colors..
Lol! Yes, this is already sold. I have a few others not on etsy. You can always check out my etsy link for my art or email me at info@mollys-artistry.com www.etsy.com/shop/mollysartistry
Tried these and really trying to decide. I've tried colander pours, and so-so. One looked similar to yours in this video. Tried their pouring medium and wasn't too impressed.
Ohhh! Thank you! I kept trying to figure it out, so I could buy some! But was saying to myself, hell I don't even know what to Google! Lol Thank you!! You do beautiful work!!
Hi Molly, this turned out beautiful! I'm trying to find this ready mix Artists Loft paint and it's sold out at Michael's. I checked your Amazon store and it's not there either. Do you know where we can find it? Thank you!! ♥️♥️😍
@@MOLLYSARTISTRY Yes, that's where I get my canvases. I've checked previously for this paint and they're always out online and in the stores close by. Argh!
I got a awesome idea from Mixed Media Girl, she just did a slap pour for when your just having one of those days lol. She poured some paint on the canvass and slapped it lol, it looks awesome! I love it.
Hey Molly have you tried their pouring medium? I love the finish on these ready to pour paints but not it's consistency or limited color choice so I'm wondering if their pouring medium will leave your painting just as glossy. I'd love to see you demo their pouring medium. It also says to use 1 part paint to 5 parts pouring medium which seems to stretch your paint. Crazy huh
So what are you going to do with the one you don’t like. I have several. Tried sanding but that takes forever. Then put a white primer and tried again. Having a hard time with it. Any thoughts?
Ahhggg you wrecked it lol. I’m still trying to decide about wrecking it. Don’t they sell pouring medium you can add? I have to change my consistencies with different types of pours.
It is so helpful when you do these kind of experiments and share your results. So much information here. Happy painting!!
Thanks Molly for doing the experiment on the mixed paints. It does help.
Yes, what a gorgeous piece you created.
WOW! Awesome painting
Wow this’s one of my favorites 👍🏻👍🏻
I really like this technique! I watched a couple of other artists pour this technique and saying that they learned this from you. So, I searched and found this video. Now I have to try it!
They work great for swipes and dirty cup pours
Loving the colours so talented and full of information inspiration
Wow, what a difference between your two experiments with these paints! Very impressive how the held their shape when stretched and wow, the finished, dry result is amazing. Gorgeous! 💖💖💖 Thanks so much for sharing 💕💕
Love this. Love the black and yellow in it
Beautiful! They work great for ring pours. I did a multiple ring pour on a square canvas and it was amazing.
Thanks Molly. I find this kind of input really helpful.
Lovely video and painting😍
They work great for swipes.
The giggle!!🥰 came out very nice. Thanks for the info👍🏻
While I don't think these paints work for every technique and they are costly, I really like how they turned out for this technique! Love the finish too! Have you guys tried them?
MOLLY'S ARTISTRY how would you thicken it up? If it were food you could use some corn starch but I don’t know if that would work with paint.
@@dr.floridamanphd no, they have gel thickeners. I have not tried it, but there are thickening mediums made for acrylic paints
I'm actually using these and I've used them for ring and over the bottom of a bottle pour. I really like them but hard to find.
Very nice! I like it! 💚
Nice painting! Just got some Arteza pouring paint, excited to see what they do. Thanx for the tester with Artist Loft!
I played with it tonight in neons! I like them, waiting on it to dry
Very beautiful great job love it
I really enjoy watching you experiment with paints. I was amazed at this one. The colors are awesome. I love it girl.

Love the end result.
Colors are beautiful!!
Great presentation Molly!!! The most detailed review I’ve seen so far!
So pretty! I like these paints for some things too. They don’t work well if you try and mix with regular acrylic. Thanks for the video Molly! 🖤
I love how this came out! MixedMediaGirl sent us over to watch you wreck a ring... love what you're doing!

Aww thank you!
I like that a lot!

No I havent used tempera, but I think they are washable no? Not made for this type of fluid art, but I'm not sure as i havent used them.
Wow! I love it! It looks great!
GREAT JOB❤❤❤😊😊😊
Wreck that ring! Very pretty!
Cool. I think i will try them out if I ever paint again. LOL.
Why would you never paint again Monica!
I loved it the minute it was poured out!! I have had similar problems, my white came out way too thin and separated on the canvas.
Molly that painting is truly beautiful and amazing girl.. Well done! 👏 What a lovely shine too. Great colour combo. I think l should buy this one! Love your work sister!

LOOOOOOVE this one!!
Both paintings looked great. Even if the colander pour didn’t turn out like you wanted, it still looked good.
Beautiful love ❤️ love this one gorgeous thx 😊

What if you added some glue all to thicken it up? Could you try that? The rings and color separation look very good.

I like it. Getting my supplies together to start after the first of the year! Won’t need to varnish, would you?
I still varnish because it offers UV protection

I wouldn’t use premix for other pours, but I love them for ring pours however.
Can you please do a Dutch pour with these paints? This is beautiful. I just love Dutch pours and would like to start trying some of my own and want to know if these work for it.
I will!
Is there a general rule of thumb of how much paint is needed for so many square inches of canvas?
Yes, everyone has their own calculations by experience. If you Google there is a good calculator from smart art materials.
I tried this premixed paint and it was way thinner than I have been mixing my paints - I was super surprised when I went to tilt and they almost ran off the canvas! Just wish they weren’t $14.99 per color.. it’s hard to purchase 4-6 colors..
Yes I agree. I am trying out arteza next and while they are also expensive, there are a lot of colors to chose from in the box.
This is gorgeous !...ghost at the end of the tunnel...you had it wrong side up at the end after drying...turn it around and hang it !!!...🌿🌿🌿
i love this one, and love the colors. How can I guy it?
I meant to say, how can I BUY it?

Molly have you tried for a Dutch poor? I was thinking of getting these for a Dutch poor.. but was unsure
Evelyn Robinson I have, it came out gorgeous.
I havent yet, but it's on my list!
I have and donated the Painting to non-profit fund raiser. I used it straight from the bottle.
@@lorenesutube Thank you... I've never poured before, but I so want to try...

Are they furniture stands?
Tried these and really trying to decide. I've tried colander pours, and so-so. One looked similar to yours in this video. Tried their pouring medium and wasn't too impressed.
What are the colors that you used for this piece and the order of them that you put in the cup?
Amazing wreck a ring!! Gorgeous finish!! I have to know where you get those little stool things you're using under your paintings!! Please :)
Thank you! They are sprinkler helmets from home depot!
Ohhh! Thank you! I kept trying to figure it out, so I could buy some! But was saying to myself, hell I don't even know what to Google! Lol Thank you!! You do beautiful work!!
Lovely Molly! How did you layer the colors?
White, yellow, red, black, blue
Does it work for the Dutch pours?
I'm testing that or this week
@@MOLLYSARTISTRY I will be watching for it. Thank you for your videos.

colander pour is a Halloween mayhem 😁
So what are you going to do with the one you don’t like. I have several. Tried sanding but that takes forever. Then put a white primer and tried again. Having a hard time with it. Any thoughts?
You can soak them and scrape them or gesso over and sand down to reuse. If there is glue in the mixture I have found they crack more often.
I bought these Ready Mixed paints to start off with. Haven't started because I've hurt myself so. . .
Ahhggg you wrecked it lol. I’m still trying to decide about wrecking it. Don’t they sell pouring medium you can add? I have to change my consistencies with different types of pours.

so i was just curious, is this not mixed with silicone? i noticed there was no cells....
Correct, no silicone!
Love the shine on it when it dried
