3 years later... the blondie locks hair was finally used on the fire dragon doll!
When I saw the concept design, then when you chose the ever after high doll I was bit skeptical because of the ever after high dolls round, childish looking face, but it turned out great in the end!

It’s probably because it’s easier to use dolls with the right skin color. I had this problem with my first. I used a Lagoona blue doll when I was making a human and I didn’t know how to change the skin color!

I made my reroot tool with a tapestry needle with the end cut off for two little pegs then shoved the sharp end into a wine cork and it works great and I recommend👍🏻

I kinda feel like she would have looked better with a monster high head. She had a slimmer jawline in the concept and the ever after high heads are a lot more round than MH. Still she looks great nonetheless.

You guys both did a really really good job on customizing each other's concepts!!! I really really like that you basically switched out your favorite doll to work with (or, well, at least the toy line. that's close enough, haha) and used techniques that you've picked up from watching the other's videos. The little details like that make a world of difference! It's also really neat to see that even though you guys are doing things in the other's style, that you still maintain some aspects of your own art and us it to make both dolls really something totally new and unique looking!
You guys did an excellent job! I'd adore to see more collaborations like this between you too; and between others in the doll customizing community as well!!!

Haha, actually, we talked before hand and agreed he would use a monster high (my usual choice of doll) and I would use an Ever After High (his usual choice of doll). I do agree though, if I had access to the superhero dolls he often customizes I might have picked one up to use for the head. Alas, I haven't seen that brand where I live.

I adore this doll! It's so pretty and fits the concept art so well. Minor criticism, however. In the concept art, she has a slim face, and the doll you worked with has a plumper one. Besides that, it is perfect!
