This takes me back to summer 1986 when a friend and I saw a Flotsam and Jetsam/Sacred Reich show in west Phoenix. I was 20 then. The venue was located at 39th Ave. and Indian School, which is now a Super Pawn these days. I was one of the lucky ones who got one of these cassette demos at the show. I still have the cassette today. I am 55 today and still enjoy this as much as I did then. That was a magical time as I have also seen Metallica at the Palace West (now the Orpheum Theater) before they got signed to Elektra in spring '85 and Voivod at another theater in 1986. I mention these two as Flotsam and Jetsam alumnus, Jason Newsted, would play in Metallica and Voivod.
Fucking awesome to hear that again...and what a great vocalist Eric AK is!!! And...the burgeoning talent of Jason Newsted!! Thank fuck you hear him on Doomsday... his basslines MADE that album.
