Jason Ward was the best bass player they had and he plays with fingers. That other Jason leaving was the best thing to ever happen to Flotsam.
I was the guitarist for Troy and his brother Troy on the drums waaaaay back in the early 1980s in Holly, Michigan. We practiced at their parents house...and we played cover tunes of early Genesis...the band Yes...and other art rock bands. I remember that Troy walked around the house with his bass around his neck practicing...and practicing...and practicing. I remember vividly Troy making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in his kitchen with his bass around his neck. Troy ALWAYS smiled. I smoked weed but Troy was totally drug free. Now...he lives in the Detroit suburbs with his girlfriend. He plays in a Detroit band called "Super Birthday".
Troy is also a PHENOMENAL video creator. He's a genius, man...
