    Have you got any stories about when someone has been lying to you? Maybe when their stories just didn't quite add up? Let me know in the comments! I'm curious to hear your own experiences and how you knew they were lying to you.

      A fellow patient I think is obviously he obviously says things says to fellow patients loud enough making sure that the nurses can hear it that he can hear a ghost in his room and I believe his Tourettes he just makes the odd noise land in Australia things get complicated when someone has some Aboriginal in them I believe it makes decisions harder for doctors I'm only halfway through this sometimes I wish I wasn't in reality

    Not quite the same, but I did some voluntary work as an "appropriate adult" who would attend the police station when they had someone who was either a minor or deemed to be possibly impaired mentally. I had one case of a young lady who was a resident of a community care home who had attacked another resident and a member of staff. Typically, I had a job to convince the person to take legal advice. This lady had already engaged a lawyer when I arrived and seemed very capable of conducting a "no comment" interview. Whatever other issues she had, it appeared she knew exactly what she was doing. She was relocated to another home and released that night.

    I work on a acute ward we see this a lot with patients trying to get out of criminal charges. Usually after a few days are discharged from there 28 day section.
    As one patient said to me & I quote "its a get out of jail free card Miss"
    or so they think 🤷‍♀️
    Enjoying your content 👍

    Love your videos. In your experience is there any correlation between borderline personality disorder and alcoholism. Plus is it possible to induce a mental illness through alcohol misuse and if so is it temporary? Am just curious 🤨

      Thanks for the love, bugs. Make sure you tell people about my videos.
      Borderline PD is associated with substance use in general, so I'm sure there is a weak link with alcoholism.
      I've done a whole series of videos on alcohol and its relationship to offending and to mental death. You should chigedy-check them out.

    So glad to have discovered your channel from your appearance on the Riddle Me That! podcast! Fascinating & very well done 👍 Due to the broad spectrum of symptoms of bipolar disorder, do you find that this is one of the disorders that is more commonly used by those falsely trying to claim a mental disorder?

    • @APsychForSoreMinds
      @APsychForSoreMinds  3 роки тому +3

      Hi Heather. Thanks for the props. Please tell everybody you know so I can take over the world. Actually, Psychosis is by far the most common disorder that I see people trying to fabricate. I'm not sure why. Maybe hearing voices is such an obvious symptom, people think (wrongly) that they can fake it. Maybe bipolar disorder is a bit too subtle for people who don't know how this actually presents.

    • @liddylinski4916
      @liddylinski4916 2 роки тому

      I can't seem to understand why anyone would want to fake a mental illness and what would they want to achieve, surely you'd have to be a bit mental to think like that especially when there are genuinely I'll people to be cared for

    I had refused to get GP recommended therapy for years..finally GP assured me no meds so ok. Made appointment with Physiologist so no meds. First visit, are you taking meds? Can't help you without them. But as i explained every time it comes up, what good are meds if I can't force myself to take them regularly? What a mess my chromosomes must be 😂

    My name is Isabella and I am a 34 year long mental health sufferer diagnosed with BPD and on off Anorecxia. Hospitalised 16 times. I would like to say that Miss L has the classic background to have genuinely caused BPD and would love only needed to fake mental illness occasionally not constantly so I strongly disagree with you.

    My sister lied about my mental health to social workers and to A Locum GP, to get access to my grieving sons after their dad had suicide by suicide in January 2015.
    I was forced to have informal mental health assessments done over 3 weeks, at 3 mental health hospitals.
    I was found to be suffering from Acute Shock Reaction, after hearing about a sudden death.
    The Locum GP had advised my sister to put anti depressants into my food at my daughter's home, so procedures could be followed as if I was part of Simon’s suicide plan.
    Why would my sister be believed, even though she lived 200 miles away and had very little contact with my and my family?
    My sister used her own mental health symptoms to lie to the mental health teams that those symptoms were mine.
    Why could the mental health professionals not see that I was doing well after hearing about a sudden suicide and it was my sister who was talking about her own mental health diagnosis.
    My sister did plan to overdose me but I still allowed my sons to legally live with her in Scotland because I understand she was trying to give my sons a better life after their dad had died by suicide.
    Simon was not suicidal but was trying to get sectioned for his own safety, so the police could not question him over his home being police raided in 2014.
    I do not suffer from any mental health issues but the Locum GP lied I was Paranoid Schizophrenic and was suffering from a psychotic episode.
    I was blacklisted from accessing support from 2016, after I requested copies of the mental health advocate’s recordings from my meetings during 2015.
    No action was taken against any mental health professionals because of opinions being allowed to be used in family courts.
    The local mental health team alleged that I suffer from Unspecified Nonorganic Psychosis during 2023 but no symptoms were recorded on my mental health records.
    I believe this is quite common during family court hearings, as untrained mental health professionals are allowed to be expert witnesses in these type of courts.
    I have been having the same documents investigated and reviewed over the last 9 years, so I can show my sons what really happened after their dad died.

Right-wingers are the opposite of nazis, in wanting small government and personal freedom.

      @@pamelaadam9207 I'm not sure how you would have communism without people, but it's a BAD ideology, because it goes against human nature and rules by authoritarian control and forced compliance. You will find psychopathic tendencies in all walks of life, but I'm guessing more so on the left, where adherence to an ideal supersedes compassion for the individual. In my experience, it's those on the hard left that tend to be lacking in empathy. You've only got to look at fascist groups like Antifa and HNH.
