Even if Dave Scatino had a winning night at the executive game, he would have had the same fate at the end. They would have either kept playing with him until he started losing knowing that he couldn't resist or cheated him some other way.
They wouldn’t need to cheat him out. If Dave leaves a winner. He will come back to play. The end is the same. It’s just a matter of time.
He will win, come back and be killed by Richie or Ralphie for owing them money or beating them in Poker.
@@rubenlopez3364 he wouldn’t be killed for beating them in poker lmfaoo
Yeah tbh that's the main job of the mobsters playing at the game. Vito encourages him to gamble for example.
A true gambler is not happy untill he's lost EVERYTHING including the watch on his wrist & the shirt off his back
The witness and his wife had some great dialogue, “you had to be the big man!!” “It’s on the fridge the fridge!”
I love that scene. The actress who played the wife really nailed it. Her panic and frantic scolding is just great.
Good eye on the water. Junior had a bottle of it when he was talking to Richie also.
Just about to comment the same thing.
i realize I am kinda randomly asking but do anyone know of a good site to stream new series online?
@Bishop Zion lately I have been using flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@Isaac Gael yea, been watching on flixzone for years myself :D
@Isaac Gael thanks, I went there and it seems to work :) I really appreciate it !
It just goes to show what a great actor robert patrick is,from a badass, ruthless killing machine to a wimpy degenerate gambler. On a side note tony an all his associates would definitely deserve a visit from the T-1000.
He actually retweeted one of my videos, which is pretty cool
@@PureKino Wow to know that someone like him is also watching the content you create, must be an awesome feeling. Keep up the good work, these videos are gold.
Janice taunting Richie marks the third member of Tony’s close family conspiring to have him killed.
his sister, his mother and his uncle smh. ..whoke family is messed up..everyone has so many personal issues
I forgot that Carmela actually made out with that guy. She got further with him than she ever did with Furio in their entire storyline.
borko to Kino : You may run Soprano clips but you don't run your Uncle Borko! How many freakin' hours did I spend uploading contents with you?
😂😂😂 can’t forget cousin ceerious
Kino: C'mon HBO, I'd never do anything to insult you! Our channels upload the same clips together!
i really like the davey arc kinda shows the parallels between the mob and civilian life and gives a good look on how tonys business really effects others that i feel we don’t always see. Also as badass as richie is i find it hard to believe he could be such an ingrate and make it as far as he did.
I also really like the idea of a normal guy playing too high stakes and having a bad session. More relatable than many of the other characters
He wasn't a "civilian", at least not in an innocent bystander way. Civilians don't go to illegal high stake card games arranged by the mobsters, and the mobsters don't invite anyone to these games.
He willingly gambled all his money away, then took a loan from the mobsters and gambled that away too. And then he payed for that.
The only ones who (presumambly) didn't deserve the outcome were Dave's family members.
@@_zigger_ yea ik that i wasnt saying he was innocent I was just saying it’s interesting to see, hes still a civilian in the sense that hes not in the life hes a respected businessman yknow he just dabbled into gambling and that brought him into contact with LCN.
@@scoliosis9478
Lol he didn't dabble. He has a gambling issue. He goes to gambling anonymous. He's the type of person Tony Despises yet makes money off of them.
Tony has first hand seen what getting in over your head in gambling will do to you. Since his childhood.
Tony warned Davey multiple times and even shooed him away. Yet Davey persisted. This wasn't some sort of unfortunate outcome because of bad luck. Davey wanted to play with the big dogs. Murderers, thieves and drug dealers. He was warned and yet still persisted. Eventually he played, lost, and now has to pay the price. Which he tried to emotionally manipulate his way out through tony. It only shows that he has done this before and we know that he was going to do it again in Vegas.
Yeah, the davey arc is one of the first on the show that really opens you up to how evil and selfish the mob is. Not only do they steal and kill but some of ruin their own childhood friend's business and life
Love the fleeting mention of Davey ending up in a nut ward and Tony just continues eating his cereal.
Wdym he got sent to a nut house 😮
My favorite episode! This Kino, he's more creative than Spielberg!
Kino is off on updates a week 4th time in a row
@@frolianmoreno7297 When someone hands you a light upload, it's only the beginning
I can’t believe Dave was only in the show for three episodes, it seems so much longer.
It's just a stutter step really
"I didn't really expect to gamble tonight..."
-David Scatino
I never realized he missed the swim meet out of spite I just thought he was so wrapped up with almost going to the can he forgot. God what a POS!
ouu yeah your the boss Kino, It should be youu ;)
Yeah ever since Borko became the ChemoSabi
Don't start talking crazy now... Borko will pull through
Bahaahah
BTW, Tony never “invited” David to play in executive game - he told him NOT to play but David kept hounding him. So he let him play after David kept badgering him...
His decision to let him play though.
@@maylabrown4584 was it though? He told David twice (maybe more) not to show up, Richie told David not to show up after going in debt to him, but yet David still followed him to the big game anyway and came uninvited. It’s not till he’s literally at the door shoving his way in that Tony gives up and allows him to play the game. On top of that, Tony does not give him money right away until David starts begging for that as well. Tony said no multiple times along the way, David kept hounding him and begging him, Tony just gave up trying to save his dumbass friend
@@chiefbologna5719 I've changed my mind on this topic over the past 2 weeks after rewatching the episode, and yeah i agree it was David's fault, the bastard was a degenerate gambler that didn't care about his family.
Had Tony known that Davey was in debt to Ritchie for $7000. Tony wouldn't let him in the game.
I saw Pure Kino drinking a bottle of Ramlösa while walking down the street the other day. Care to explain?
I always find your Soprano recaps to be well done and entertaining.
One of the best episodes imo, I loved the Goodfellas analogy of the bust out.
The witness reading Nozick is perfect attention to detail
Yep 😁
Never noticed the ramosa water. God the show has so many great details
Wait - it gets better! Did you know Ramosa is a bacterial parasite - another great detail! What an analogy!!!
Plot twist: We’re watching what happened to Davey before the T-1000 assumed his identity. Too bad both lives were ruined 😠
The T1000 assumed his identity in Jersey and then moved out to LA? Or was this after Scatino went to rehab or whatever?
@@1squeamishneophyte he donated his body to science in order to pay off his debts. He then became T-1000 and was sent back in time to kill John Connor
Oh shit, I just learned that this is the guy from T2... Didn't recognize him at all, totally different facial expressions... I find those actors fascinating who can play wimps and tough guys without drastically changing their look like a Gary Oldman or Rick James.
John Ventimiglia, who plays Artie Bucco, is one of actors too. He played a tough guy in "Mickey Blue Eyes" - and in one particular scene he goes on to collect a dept... Which is funny, because in Season 4 of the Sopranos Artie goes to collect a dept and totally fails.
Debt, not dept. Good mention on Artie, though.
amazing video as always kino, very allegorical
the sacred and the propane
Kino... you’re doing a good job! 😁
That was perfect!
Davey is the reason why I refuse to gamble
Janice sure inherited some of her mom’s terrible traits of manipulation (so did Tony, and Barbara, but she chose a cleaner life).
Your channel is going to blow up. The content is addictive. Just keep up the grind and you'll have 100K subs before 2022. The John Wayne video was great and I was surprised how much I liked if considering it was a big takeoff from "The Sopranos" content I am used to.
Nah when there's stuff like talking Sopranos out there, this channel is going to struggle getting to 50k before 2022.
You know when it shows Carmella scenes. You can tell she is like living in this fantasy world. Its just hilarious honestly.
Man I feel like the bust out story line could have been a whole episode. I'd loved to have seen where each case of water went and more details but I'm a nerd.
Same here. 3:07 - I see Junior even got some of it.
I wanna know who bought the coolers
God the jacket! That was a Seinfeld skit that got elevated to hellish new heights XD
Can you imagine that? tony soprano and the liquid terminators kids go to the same school together?
Davey is the one that kept on insisting to come into the poker game
He's a degenerative gambler... of course. That's what he does.
You may run UA-cam but you don’t run your uncle borko
Imagine T1000 taking out Tony
I love these! I hope you will do all episodes. I had forgotten many of the story threads. Your descriptions are great .
I don’t blame Carmella for wanting other people. Tony has been cheating on her since they first started dating. The only reason why they got married was because she was pregnant with meadow.
You do such a great job on these, editing, sound and of course the synopses.
I love watching a few between bouts of my own writing.
My favorite character in this episode is the witness's wife she acted the part really real strange how a side character can be so immersive.
On the frige on the frige!!!
Where in the fucking frige!?
Sounds like I'm at home lol
BRO I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS EPISODE SINCE YOU STARTED. ITS MY FAVORITE EPISODE 😄😄.
As well as the bottles of water, you see most of the characters will the red coolers you see in the shop also
love these, keep em coming vro!👌💯
Thanks! Will do!
i gotta give u props for commitment to these analyses bro keep at it
FIRST FOR KINO, BACK ON TOP
The King of New York!
Another great vid, as usual. Keep it up Kino!
Thanks for the support!
Thank you for this wonderful content. More Sopranos Please!
More to come!
Pure "Nice little detail" Kino
I never understood why they busted out Davey's store. When I was a teenager I worked in a chain pet store that is not around anymore called Petfood Giant. I know from doing inventory we had over $1 million in pet supplies. I would guess a sporting goods store had even more, especially when exercise equipment costs thousands. So why didn't he just let them steal a few hundred thousand in merchandise and make it look like a robbery where insurance would cover it?
a fake robbery would propably attract more police attention in a shorter time. Selling goods that are reported stolen is also more risky and less profiteable. However, with a bustout, all the items are propably already sold by the time this whole situation gets noticed and investigated, so it is relatively safe, although worse for Davey, obviously.
@@sertu1462 Sorry bad wording when I said they should have stolen I meant why didn't Davey give them $40 to $50 thousand worth of inventory.
@@katkit4281 Ah okay, I see what you mean. That's a good point. The only reason I could come up with off the top of my head is that maybe some items just can't be sold on the street very well. Maybe those sport items are too bulky to carry around, or maybe they're so niche that they'll have a hard time finding customers.
Pure Kino gets his gravy from a jar
Tony kept saying no it's too high-risk but he still kept on existing that he plays
That shows me that early on Tony had shreds of a conscience left, but scatino wanted to swim with the sharks
@@littlekingtrashmouth9219 yes I definitely agree
Janice shooting Richie was the best scene in the entire series. “ I’m in no mood to be shot to death not his quote but it was priceless
Junior, yet again, showing he would have been the very best consiglieri - but, never a boss. He could see clearly from the outside... but, never when he was caught-up in it.
Duuuuuuude I can’t believe I never realized Davy was in terminator 2, it just never clicked
Kino, we had our mofo or whateva, but its over.
"He couldn't sell it... He's not respected"
1:13, thank you for that tid bit of information. Never noticed.
Great recap 👌
"Tony's not acting logically" as Carmella is having a full on seizure lmfao
I very much enjoy and look forward to your videos
Awesome, thank you!
Pure kino put sopranos uploads on his channel, pointed em right at borko.. Hehehe
This show was amazing at having underlying plots and alternative methods while keeping it steady and not to complicated
Richie was either angry or had someone else angry with him. Basically his predicament until finally finished off.
On my first watched the Sopranos I felt sorry for Davey but then on my second watch through Davey is the most stupid character as he got into the game when Tony advised him against it then even after losing in there he stole an additional 40 grand, serves him right
*Chapter 7, not 11. 11 is reorganization to reopen, 7 is liquidation.
BORKO BETTER Start KICKING UP TO KINO
Tony didnt give away the Jacket.....he gave away the 🤌Jackeeeeetttt🤌
kino... you are doing a good job!
Probably the one and only instance of Webern's Op. 27 ever being used in a TV show. Ever.
When? In the credits?
Was that the annoying piano music? I thought that was Mahler
Good vid as always, Kino. Hehe.
Seeing the T-1000 get bullied by Tony Soprano was like watching thew toughest kid in your school get beaten up by someone from another school
Someone explain to me why anyone chooses to gamble with the mafia. I mean, gambling is terrible risk assessment to begin with, but adding to that playing against murdering thieves elevates it to another level. What is the allure?
The best I can figure out is like any other addiction gambling lures you into situations that normally you wouldn't even think about doing. Plus being an executive game and not some nickel ante gets one thinking" I'll walk put with more money when I win" so there's that mindset. Gamblers never think they are going to lose only how they are going to be the big winners
Payouts are usually higher, plus unlike legit casinos it is "under the table" so to speak
@@rickyray2794 Sounds not a risk worth taking. I mean, legit casinos are out to rob you too, but at least they have to pay you if you happen to win. If a goombah just decides not to, what's one to do?
@@Aivottaja Not a thing, but who will attend their games if it gets around that they don't pay when somebody wins.
Musto being afraid of Tony just shows only the toughest interior decorators come from Russia.
Richie busting out Janice's shinebox is NOT what I needed to see.
I know when he said that this was an option when he invited him into the poker game he knew that this was going to happen but he did try to talk him out of it
There’s something funny about 4:22 where you say Tony’s unstable but with no context, it looks like he’s trying to mind his own and read the paper and Carm’s having a go at him
I was literally just wondering if you did one about this episode last night
Your on your way to being made 💯
Robert Patrick played Les Packer in Sons of Anarchy sonsofanarchy.fandom.com/wiki/Les_Packer Whe he appeard for the first time he was with John Hensley, who played his son in the Sopranos.
I think if there was going to be a real ending. Davy would be the one to pull the trigger on Tony. It would be totally unexpected. David goes away for 6 years, established a new life out west, has all the motive. It would have been quite the ending.
As a swede it was fun to see Ramlösa here, common here but not in that fancy bottle
Terminator got terminated.
Kino missed the part where Carmela offered Vic one of the coolers from the bust out
I can’t find ramolsa anywhere online
Love the terminator 😀👍
Holy fuck I never realized this guy was the same dude who played the T-1000
99%: where’s the GABAGOOL
Random character never had the makings of a varsity athlete
shinebox
Inanimate object was so underrated. I wish they did more with their character.
You gotta bee on-ah your head
More like Dr. Milfy
The gabagool is actually a symbol for italian immigrants and tony’s consumption of it is symbolic of blah blah blah this show was genius god i miss this show
You’re not gonna believe this. The guy killed 16 Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator
SHINEBOX
Very allegorical
Put that on the store tab!
Pure kino=pure talent
Kinoooooo...... you’re doing a good joooob!
the boat is a metaphor. big bank take little bank.
Is this a re-upload?
Junior was drinking that same water.
great vid
Surprised you didn’t mentioned the recurring use of the Otis Redding song
Davey came back in the finale and terminated Tony.
The water AND the coolers they're trying to get rid of "Coolers are like scissors" LMAO
Reminds me of Goodfellas... "It doesn't matter, its all profit" 😂
I 100% forgot about the Vic Carmela storyline.
I 100% can understand why Vic didn't get involved, imagine when he was in the cold light of day after kissing Carmela he must've thought "wtf am i doing?" that kind of situation would only end badly for Vic, it wouldn't end well for anyone Tbf but especially Vic lol.
I almost drowned in a bottle of Ramosa once
Jake and the Fatman....forever
A quote husky accomplice, whatever happened there
