i've rode 600 super sport bike my whole life. turned 58 this year and bought a HD lowrider s for the first time. i just love this bike. i don't need the gauges so close . you can feel where your at. i just love the close bar so i can feel the front end while riding. just love your channel.
Low Rider S is a cut above most of the other softails. Inverted forks and dual front brakes and less rake than some of the others make it more of a solid performer. Not to mention the 114
Just bought this bike at the end of May. Man this thing hauls. I'm still breaking it in as I'm the very 1st owner of it. The bike had .1 miles on it when I test rode it. It now has ~570 miles.
Hey Jess you look good on that LRs 114. I was really looking at that same bike, until the 2022 Indian Motorcycle came I really love the Dark Horse Thunderstroke 116. I'm going to take your advice and ride plenty of motorcycle to find that right one. "YOU ROCK " young Lady. Ride Safe Be Safe 👍
I too have a 2020 Lowrider S with the S.E 131 engine upgrade. And mine is powerful without being brutal. I thoroughly enjoy mine and it is very ridable and controllable, even though it does make some serious power. But that's OK because at 56 having 35 years of riding experience under my belt, it'll only go as fast as my right wrist allows it to go.
Another great vid on a great bike. I've had my Low Rider S since last April and have loved every second on it. That color does look good with Jess, but I bet it looked good with your helmet as well.
I hit the utube logo and you popped up so this is first time taking a ride with you. It's as if riding myself I can pickup a few subtle moves I see you have. Clutch leave from a dead stop and fast upshifts, it doesn't get any better. You're not a trans shift beater or clutch burner outer on the upshifts. On the downshifts we can look at it in 3 moves and what I consider bad habits to the wear factors. I don't downshift to a stop. It stays in whatever gear and the compression slows me down to the point of knowing when to pull the lever in and not buck the engine pulse when coming to a stop. Then I find 1st gear without it banging in. Less trans loads/dog/fork wear. I don't blip the engine ever. That's bad gas mileage and hours [added] as it spins on the wearing out of parts. Less hours on the engine running. You let that cutch out on each downshift, it still says excess friction when it's all about timing on when to lift and brakes applied. Less pad wear on both friction plates and brake pads. At about the 7 minute mark, you coast with clutch in going around a corner? Just a few minutes riding with you I can pick out the good and bad [engine managements]. Signed, he's so anal, he kills the engine at lights just to keep the compression hours even shorter. Make sense?
Jess, thanks for another amazing...."test ride" .... the Low Rider S is definitely one of my favorite and would love to get one....hopefully soon... Keep up the great content and always...ride safe...
I got to test ride an Low Rider S I actually LOVED It alot! LOL I loved the song you played with older clip of you riding in the rain. I admire your riding skills so much, can't wait to get more experience under my belt especially with riding in the rain.
We were there when you were and you’re absolutely right about the mid controls being high! We noticed it on the street bob and the standard as well and even my gf who is 5’1 felt like her knees were in her chest. Also, this bike was one of the few there to ride that wasn’t stock. This has the stage one kit with the breather and SE exhaust but yes this bike sounded really deep and throaty especially when engine breaking.
Mid controls have been the go to for ages. Unfortunately they won’t work with the bucket style seats on Harleys. If you look at Triumph or 80s style cruisers the seats were highly padded flat and long where you could easily change seat positions. You can’t change that on a Harley without buying different seats costing a fortune.
2021 Low Rider S was my dream bike and my first bike. Absolutely loveeee this bike. Nimble and fast! Amazing content as normal. You are such an inspiration for girls getting into motorcycles!
I had an '04 superglide,'07 superglide custom and then a '15 roadking(which I liked) but in '19 I traded in towards a '17 leftover lowrider as it was last year for the twin cam and dyna platform
I got a 2018 low rider because I felt it fit me best, I like the wight, tank size, I'm short and it's the first bigger size bike I felt comfortable on if I waited one year I could got low rider s. In
This definitely has one of the best looks of any modern Harley, but I test rode it a month ago and it was terrible to ride and the ergonomics were so bad my lower back started to hurt after 15 minutes (I'm 5'9"). Which is funny because I used to have a Dyna Street Bob and had no issues with its ergonomics. It did have forward controls, though, but other than that it was stock.
Yeah that's a cool looking bike in that colour 🎨🔥 Yes the risers are great. I also don't like exposed snorkels as they are no good in the rain. I think it's good though to have the gap between the tank and bars as it makes for a nice clean naked bike look not cluttered. Yeah the big motor is nice to have 👍
Hi Jess, thanks for the great video! I'm a Harley owner. Been a subscriber for a while now. You still inspire me to try new things. Just wanted to say thank you.
So I really wasn’t watching because I’m at work but I was listening and you know something...I think I could get use to hear you😉🤙🏼. You’re interesting to listen to.
I just spent a day demo riding Indians and Harleys up at Laconia Bike Week. I got to try a Lowrider S with stage 2 kit and I wanted to love it. Everything I knew about the Lowrider S, I learned from Blockhead, so I expected it to be a great bike. It was great until the moment I found the friction zone and started pulling away. As soon as I put my feet up on the pegs, my legs were so uncomfortable that I thought I must have made a mistake and put them in the wrong places. I confirmed that they were indeed on the pegs and it was just a horrible ride after that. My knees felt like they were in my chest, but worst of all was the fact that applying rear brakes meant grinding my shin on the forward air cleaner. Here's the thing, I'm not tall. I'm 5'9" with a 33" inseam. She was VERY powerful and fast, I'll give her that, but I was so disappointed and so uncomfortable that the 7 mile test route felt like it took forever to get back and get off that bike. I hated the gages because I had to take my eyes so far off the road. Another thing I hated about all the Harleys I rode was that the gear position indicator doesn't display the gear when you are coasting. Sure, I know all the super cool kid "real bikers" don't need no gear position indicator because they can count and they have a better short-term memory than I do, but my memory sucks and when I'm coming to a stop or at least slowing down, I never know what gear I'm in unless it's displayed. I had originally thrown a leg over the bike with nothing but love and respect for it, but found it disgusting. I was disgusted. When I got off the Lowrider S, I went and rode an Indian Chief Dark Horse Bobber with 116 and stage 2, and it made everything better. Everything I was disgusted by on the Lowrider S was a joy on Chief. The rider triangle was comfortable, the brakes weren't painful, the power was indistinguishable from the Lowrider S because they are both ridiculous in that department. Everything I wanted to love about the Lowrider S, I actually did love about that Chief. I will definitely be getting one! I'm glad you loved this bike though, because I want us all to just love what we ride.
Just got a 2021 FXLRS. Great bike (completely different to my previous Kawasaki Z900RS) but I find I have to reach quite a bit for the bars, being 5'8. Suprises me you feel very comfy on it being even smaller, or maybe I have short arms :)
I would need a bigger brighter turn signal indicator. A gear indicator would be nice. Cruise control would be a must, along with 5 gallon capacity fuel tank. All LED lights. ABS brakes as a standard and not option.
Great video. Thanks for mentioning your height. Super helpful as you mentioned they are selling these like crazy and I’m hoping I get to sit on one before I buy it but might not get to.
Waiting for 1250 custom. The engine being the stressed part of the frame will decrease weight dramatically which helps braking, acceleration, and handling. Plus no stage 4 needed. Just a wind screen and bags, done. 150 horsepower, traction control, rider mods!
Im stuck on either the Low Rider S or the Indian Chief Dark Horse. When I say stuck I mean REALLY stuck. I'll be test riding some Indians next month and can't wait. The tough part is trying to test out the Low Rider S. There is almost no stock near me, and my local shops only have had new models that can't be test ridden. Yes, the Indian has a very nice digital dash, riding modes, and a 116 from the factory. But this Low Rider S caught my eye the minute I saw it, and I can't stop thinking about it. Cheers, wonderful content as always.
Low means compromised rider comfort because the lower a bike sits/rides the less suspension travel. I’m 6 feet 1 and wish at a stop my legs were fully extended. That means making my Road Glide 4-5 inches taller which would be a Cush ride. The MOCO markets to short people 5 foot 9 or shorter. If I ever buy another HD it will be the Adventure model👍 sometimes you just need to ride down a creek bed.
@ 2:43 , " Im not a lady, I'm a girl ". Well, I do believe you are a Lady, a young lady. A Green Eyed Lady @ that. Hey,,,, that reminds me of a song I once heard !!!! As always, stay safe out there young lady !!!
Current speedo and tach need to scooch up one space each, move tach to where speedo is now and put speedo ahead of that. Way more workable to run a tank bag for easy access storage. Finally, the MoCo needs to do away with faux filler caps and just go with the throttle side one since that is the high point when on the side stand.
I guess I'm the only one who likes chrome and shiny anymore. Nearly every new HD is all blacked out and I don't find that appealing at all. It also sounded like a Honda, but I guess that's just the M8 engine sound.
Kinda wondering what happened to the low rider s demo they had in Dayton a couple months ago. It had a stage 2 kit on it. It was really frisky with the torque cam in it. Thought that’s what you were riding but it didn’t have the sticker on the tank that advertised that it was upgraded. 🤔

I default call colors like that 'black cherry'... yes, it is a very sexy color! especially on, say, a Road Glide 🤔 (I really like the look of that Wicked Red Denim from 2019, though 😅) Still want to do the bike thing, but all classes are booked up for the scheduled future, not touching anything til after the classes
Too funny “ I’m a girl not a lady”. Love that color myself. I have a 21 Road Glide Special in Midnight Crimson with the blacked out package. At the end of the day buy the bike you like, that fits you, and ride on.
Aight time to have one last ride with my bike, selling it in the morning, can't wait for the new one gotta be a pedestrian for bout 2 weeks tho, gotta suck going to work w/ the bus, especially now in this heat,we had 33 C today
#Her Two Wheels Thinking of adding a stage 4 kit to my 2015 Harley Super Low 1200T ($5300 cost which includes parts and labor) or buy a 20/21 LowRider S. The problem is it seems that Low Rider S is extremely popular right now and that means premium prices and not many on the market lightly (low milage) used. Whatcha you think ? Your experienced advice please ? P.S.: The Parts guy at the dealership I use thinks I should add the stage 4 and not attemot to purchase the HLRS. Though I really love the Low Rider S. Wow, you all have a lot of test rides over there. I have yet to hear of anything like that in my neck of the woods. But then again, I'm not very well connected to any dealer and certainly not a youtuber. But you have fun riding all those bikes.
@@csolivais1979 I found 16 Harley dealers within 143 miles of me. It just seemed odd that Harley would put on these events at what seemed so often in the year. I guess I haven't heard of another manufacture doing that. Just an observation. Nothing more.
I said that the road king test ride looked soooo Jess. This bike does too. I am still going to vote Road King if it was up to me. You need a bagger baby!
I traded in my RnineT for a 2023 LRS. Unlike the other Softails it has no gimmicks other than the big engine. It has everything a bike should have and nothing it should not. The Touring bikes are just getting too expensive now, and the Revolution bikes are just strange or don’t provoke the visceral reactions big twins do. The LRS is the Goldilocks
Just curious, have you ridden a Ultra Classic or Ultra Limited LOW. You really seem to like the Street Glide. The Street Glide is Basically the same bike as the Ultra Low. The Ultra Classic Low or Ultra Limited LOW has a lot more to offer at a lower price. I don't understand that, but you get so much more for your money and a better riding bike with the Ultra Low than the Street Glide.
Miss my 2001 Lowrider, would love to have another or a superglide like yours. What do you think of the softtail Lowrider vs the older dyna like yours, and how would you compare the Lowrider S to the Indian Chief? I've rode a base chief 111 and LOVED it
Check out the video of me riding Blockhead's 131 Low Rider S. (aka GOLDZILLA) bit.ly/35IL69D
That bike's a monster and he's still improving it
Nice vid, absolutely love that midnight crimson
Jess, what do you prefer between foot pegs and floor boards?

Just check your local Harley dealer and see when they are doing a demo day. Normally they will have 5 or 6 different bikes to demo ride.
@@csolivais1979 I found 16 Harley dealers within 143 miles of me. It just seemed odd that Harley would put on these events at what seemed so often in the year. I guess I haven't heard of another manufacture doing that. Just an observation. Nothing more.
@@randysprecher1421 oh I see what you mean. I think she did all the test rides on one day, then is just slowly releasing them. But I'm not sure
I said that the road king test ride looked soooo Jess.
This bike does too.
I am still going to vote Road King if it was up to me.
You need a bagger baby!
Jess: Lets hope Honda gives you a test ride on the new Goldwing "Bagger".
🤮
I have never ridden a motorcycle I didn't enjoy. I guess that's why I have five of them.
Is it comfortable long touring??what are your views..
Great video thanks for the info
Yo Jess, Love the Kolor. You Meet the Nicest People on a Honda. Keep the Shiny Side Up.
What happened to the 'glide? I thought that was your favorite and next bike. So would you choose the Lowrider S over either of the 'glides?
Just curious, have you ridden a Ultra Classic or Ultra Limited LOW. You really seem to like the Street Glide. The Street Glide is Basically the same bike as the Ultra Low. The Ultra Classic Low or Ultra Limited LOW has a lot more to offer at a lower price. I don't understand that, but you get so much more for your money and a better riding bike with the Ultra Low than the Street Glide.
That smile says it all....
So what is the best Bike Road King Special or Low rider S ?
It looks like a smiley face in that space Jess.
Check out a Dyna Switchback,
I love the lowrider S!
Miss my 2001 Lowrider, would love to have another or a superglide like yours. What do you think of the softtail Lowrider vs the older dyna like yours, and how would you compare the Lowrider S to the Indian Chief? I've rode a base chief 111 and LOVED it
I believe it’s the one PAID FOR!!!
Love the bike can’t wait to test ride a Harley
That bike fits you better than you know. I can hear it in your voice.
Nice looking bike. Love the colour.
@@DavidSmith-fw6uj Yeah. I am not exactly small either, but my Road Glide Ultra fits well.
@@DavidSmith-fw6uj lol
Jess, have you ever tested out the HD Softail Slim? If so, what’s your opinion? If not, please test one and let us know. 😁
I have not! Yet!
How do u like the low rider s compared to the chief?
That front end from your view looks like an Alin head staring at you. 👽
What you will choose Low Rider S(114) or Chief Dark Horse(116)?
I have this bike The build starts tomorrow
LOVE the Lowrider S! I was looking at those before I bought my Fat Bob. #jealous
Sounds like a future addition to your garage?
