I'm a type 6. And you could not have been more accurate. My mother gives the final nod, that way I can at least shift the blame on to her when things go wrong. They DO go wrong.
im a 1w9 (and an intj if anyone is into mbti) and im not super picky -- i dont care abt things like what they look like or anything. id just appreciate if i could have meaningful conversation and open communication with my partner, but also not too pushy if i dont wanna talk (and id be understanding if they didnt wanna talk unless what we need to talk abt is becoming a problem). im not too bothered with having fun with my partner as long as we can be comfortable around each other. i tend to like type 5s tbh
@@amelian9677 i think intj 1w9s especially tend to enjoy having partners who they can have more intellectual conversation w in my personal experience and 5s core pursuit is toward knowledge and being knowledgeable
As a type 1, I LOVED this video! I guessed all the types correctly but I guessed my own type during the teaser portion at the beginning. When I heard the part about "using Grammarly", I went "Oh, that's a type 1". Now, I'm curious to know whether I'm supposed to be looking for another type 1 male version of myself :P Thanks, Abs! UPDATE: I mistyped as a type 1, I'm actually a type 4w5 and the type 4 (love Pride & Prejudice), type 5 (must be comfortable with silence), and type 1 (strong morals) really resonate with me :-)
i would say slightly obvious jokes in this one, but just a few days ago i made this whole tumblr post about how "if we can be in the same room comfortably doing our parallel activities without bothering each other thats a keeper" so i cant say i havent been knew still if you asked me up front i probably would have named "stimulating conversation" as the number one thing
Haha, as a 1 I definitely looked for a partner with a strong moral code more than any specific physical or personality characteristics. Love my intelligent and loyal 5w6 hubby.
This was SO good as always!! About the E3...I MERELY had an ideal partner checklist...AND a bonus checklist! 😅🤣 My hubby checked alllll the boxes, hooray!! 🎉 Miracle, I know.
My bestie (a 3 flat) had all those things too... while she had to work on me for years to make even one checklist. My 4 wing rebelled against the perceived basicness of it all 😆.
LOL it's so fun to guess the type before it's revealed! Maybe it's because I'm a countertype 6, but I definitely can't relate to that one lol. I'll never let someone else tell me what I like.
Oh wow. I relayed so much with the 9! And also the 6 was def me when I was younger 😬 I did have a list, but it was pretty generic and my hubby ended up checking off most of the items, even several of the “extra gravy” list! 😂 🥰
Type 3 here and yup. Honestly, it's not much to ask for someone to have a respectable career and love dogs (specifically must love chihuahuas, sorry, not getting any other dog breed)... and also has to at least be at my level or above. That's the bare minimum!
Interesting. I believe myself to be a 6 and was sure that you were going to say that the 9 impression was a 6. Because it was so me. Then it wasn’t. And I didn’t relate to the 6. I used to seek a lot of validation but it was due to the people I grew up around. When I improved my surroundings I got super confident and the REAL me came out and I really don’t need validation the same. So now I’m thinking dang, don’t tell me I mistyped again. I’ll have to investigate this further.
@@xyznightwing hey so true. I AM a counter phobic 6. I have 9 in my tritype but after further investigation I’m still a 6. I suppose would be very difficult for people to try and impersonate a counter phobic 6. But if someone did dang I’d be laughing my a** off. 🙊
Even before you showed the numbers, I picked out which ones were 1, 4, 5, and 2 the easiest. Accurate ☺ 😜. Love this new reveal method, and great video, Abbey!!
It's been awhile! I'd love to see a series on how people of different eneagrams work together. I currently use it as a foundation for when I'm supervising graduate interns, and have found it to be very helpful.
I think the perception of 6 is wrong. It assumes they could not possibly know what they want, nor have any agency over it. Instead I think any 6 could tell you quite easily that they want a partner who shows up on time, follows through on their commitments, and is in it for the long haul. Stability. It's quite clear to most 6s and resonates deeply within them. That's not to say they don't seek the viewpoints of others they trust when it comes to dating, many/most absolutely do. They may have their partner meet friends and family to get their opinion, but it usually happens after they've selected a mate or started dating. I don't think it's fair to say they are completely out of touch and unaware with what they want in a partner and are completely dependent on someone else to make those choices for them. As a 6, I just want confirmation that I made the right choice and my own judgment is sound. It's more "I like this person, but what do you think? Am I wrong?" than "Tell me what I should like in someone else." Like another commenter said, I was going to guess type 9 was type 6 because of the questioning themselves and counterpoints back and forth. Conversely, I would have guessed the 9s are what was labeled as 6 in the video, wanting to make a "safe" choice and agreeing with qualities their family likes so as not to rock the boat. It's easier to let someone else make the decision to preserve harmony for a 9 while a 6 just wants validation and reassurance from others that they chose correctly.
I am SCREAMING AT THE TYPE 3. I’ve had a baby name list since I was 15 and I told my now fiancé about it pretty early. 😂🤣 so glad I didn’t spook him HAHA!!! The accolades omg. I’m embarrassed.
I thought I was a type 4 until I looked at the core values but I'm actually type 6w5. I have a better idea of what I want and need in a partner now than I'm older. But at the same time, I want to stay single. 😆
I'm an 8 and even before knowing about the enneagram I saw finding a partner as finding a "worthy opponent". I 'm hoping for a relationship with someone that I can respect and feel is stronger than me so that I can actually take a break from being in control all of the time. That being said, if we disagree on something and I've taken time to research (I don't want to be pig headed or selfish...immediately) and have come to the conclusion that something in their approach or behavior is not working for me, I have no problem in saying so.
Wow the 1 was too right, my ideal person, is me 😂 only disagreement is that I don’t want my 4w5 husband to use Grammarly, because he has me to do that for him… 😅
I got called out by Types 5 and 1, even tho I'm a Type 4. I actually HATE brooding types. I like guys that can make me laugh, guys who are reliable, and guys who know how to have fun.
I agree i liked 5, 4, and 1 even though I'm a 5w4. But for me, I like "less small talk"/a little intimidating (which can come off as brooding) BUT funny when get to know them.
As a 7 I’m with a 6, which is a pairing I rarely hear about, but we cover each other’s blind posts so it works out well. He’s very smart and responsible/practical while I struggle to take care of practical things, but he also tends to be overly worried and pessimistic so I help bring more light into his life and allow him to relax and have fun, see positive perspectives he hadn’t thought about. So maybe you as a 4, would also enjoy a type opposite to you in some ways! So you can balance each other out, opposites can definitely attract! 😉
As a 6, I have boundaries but... its true that I need to ask my friends to describe "my type" because I dont have one, and I would be scared that idk maybe it even doesn't suit me so i would ask my friends

To be fair, Type 9s are perfect for almost any sign as long as the drama is kept to a minimum. I'm a 5 married to a 9 and it may be the only reason I'm still both married and alive.
@@flynnifyable wow that’s so lovely. I actually love hearing about people’s relationships ♥️ lovely to hear it’s going well! A nice match is lovely, whenever and however long :)
If I wanted a partner, the 9 description is fairly accurate as I honestly never had a list of ideals, though the 2 description with cuddles and food as the priority is rather accurate as well.
Thanks to you, and your videos, I got all of them right with the first sentence you uttered. Good job, though as a type 4, I wished mine was longer.... because I want to be seen ;)
😂😂😂 the totally panicked look of the 6 when they’re stuck with their own judgment
8 was spot on, and exactly what I would look for.
I'm an 8w7 and spent 7 years with a 9w1.
At first it was great, we complemented each other wonderfully. We never fought, we always got along great, he always listened and I always stood up for him. But at the end of the relationship I was making every single decision and it was absolutely draining. I felt like I was living a life for two people. It got so bad that now when I date I even enjoy when the other person makes the decisions (which is crazy). I also felt incredibly lonely, since no one was standing up for me and it seemed like he didn't have a personality of his own.
8s with 9s, watch out!!!
i recognized them all immediately, my partner is 8 and the description was so spot on, i'm 459 so we have our fair share of clashes sometimes but i generally enjoy his energy and drive and he digs my wacky antics, it's quite temperamental but we always find common ground in the end
I'm a type 6. And you could not have been more accurate. My mother gives the final nod, that way I can at least shift the blame on to her when things go wrong. They DO go wrong.
I'm a 9 and I felt exposed xD Great video btw!
im a 1w9 (and an intj if anyone is into mbti) and im not super picky -- i dont care abt things like what they look like or anything. id just appreciate if i could have meaningful conversation and open communication with my partner, but also not too pushy if i dont wanna talk (and id be understanding if they didnt wanna talk unless what we need to talk abt is becoming a problem). im not too bothered with having fun with my partner as long as we can be comfortable around each other.
i tend to like type 5s tbh
My favorite cousin is a 1w9/INTJ also, and I could totally see her with a 5.
@@amelian9677 i think intj 1w9s especially tend to enjoy having partners who they can have more intellectual conversation w in my personal experience and 5s core pursuit is toward knowledge and being knowledgeable
i love that the types for my three main characters from my story (5, 1, 4) were back to back
Nailed the 5. I was thinking, what is my ideal partner. Oh that's right, I'm happier alone.
Mimicking the type 3 at the end perfectly...."did, did you like it??" lol
La combinación de 5 y 4 es curiosa.
UPDATE: I mistyped as a type 1, I'm actually a type 4w5 and the type 4 (love Pride & Prejudice), type 5 (must be comfortable with silence), and type 1 (strong morals) really resonate with me :-)
i would say slightly obvious jokes in this one, but just a few days ago i made this whole tumblr post about how "if we can be in the same room comfortably doing our parallel activities without bothering each other thats a keeper" so i cant say i havent been knew
still if you asked me up front i probably would have named "stimulating conversation" as the number one thing
As a type 1 I feel SO called out 😭 HFHDHDS this is so good, Abby!
The 8 had me wheezing
So accurate LMAO
i always end up with 9s and I love itttt
00:23 well... i love men with golden retriever's personality
**8s and 9s talking in the comments about how their partners are amazing**
Me who is a 9w8: *I'm the perfect balance*
Haha, as a 1 I definitely looked for a partner with a strong moral code more than any specific physical or personality characteristics. Love my intelligent and loyal 5w6 hubby.
This was SO good as always!! About the E3...I MERELY had an ideal partner checklist...AND a bonus checklist! 😅🤣 My hubby checked alllll the boxes, hooray!! 🎉 Miracle, I know.
I had a checklist too!!!!! Jon fit the boxes hehe
My bestie (a 3 flat) had all those things too... while she had to work on me for years to make even one checklist. My 4 wing rebelled against the perceived basicness of it all 😆.
Do share your checklists, anyone! In need of ideas LOL! ✨
LOL it's so fun to guess the type before it's revealed!
Maybe it's because I'm a countertype 6, but I definitely can't relate to that one lol. I'll never let someone else tell me what I like.
LOL type 8 here so on point (partner is a type 2 also on point)
As a 6, I would say I never really had a type and all I need is that they are open-minded.
Oh wow. I relayed so much with the 9! And also the 6 was def me when I was younger 😬 I did have a list, but it was pretty generic and my hubby ended up checking off most of the items, even several of the “extra gravy” list! 😂 🥰
As a type six, i liked the type 1 and 8
You've done it again. You've called me out in the best way 🤣
Type 3 here and yup.
There is a comment saying that they don't relate because the are a counterphobic 6. Maybe you are too.
@@xyznightwing hey so true. I AM a counter phobic 6. I have 9 in my tritype but after further investigation I’m still a 6. I suppose would be very difficult for people to try and impersonate a counter phobic 6. But if someone did dang I’d be laughing my a** off. 🙊
@@liascott2014 really, so glad that I could help. And that would be hilarious😆
I'm a ESTJ 1w2 and would definitely NOT date myself hahaha. Type 2 and 7 with High Fe are usually a good fit for me.
Even before you showed the numbers, I picked out which ones were 1, 4, 5, and 2 the easiest. Accurate ☺ 😜. Love this new reveal method, and great video, Abbey!!
Big romance tip: If you want to find a partner you could truly share your life's journey with, you need to find them on your path.
abbeyyyyyy your vids are so gooooood ahhh! so happy that you're becoming more popular
I’m a 9 and a 8 would be perfect. Please make the tough decisions for me 😂
Recognized every type but mine... Type 9. Frankly my main requirement is she needs to have a voice I can listen to all day long, the rest is whatever.
I find a lot of these are more relatable to women of the type than men. Same characteristics but they manifest differently.
It's been awhile! I'd love to see a series on how people of different eneagrams work together. I currently use it as a foundation for when I'm supervising graduate interns, and have found it to be very helpful.
I was able to guess all of them! I'm proud of myself
4w5 here. Can totally relate to what 4 and 5 did in this video.
As a four, I am surprised how accurate this is about me :)))
As a type 5, I fully agree.
The 5 you described I thought was me (a 4). I was shocked.
I am SCREAMING AT THE TYPE 3. I’ve had a baby name list since I was 15 and I told my now fiancé about it pretty early. 😂🤣 so glad I didn’t spook him HAHA!!! The accolades omg. I’m embarrassed.
4 is accurate for me
As an 8, I would describe my ideal partner as the 1 did. I LOVE MYSELF A 5 ❤️
The Enneagram 2 one is so true...
9 here, can confirm
I thought I was a type 4 until I looked at the core values but I'm actually type 6w5. I have a better idea of what I want and need in a partner now than I'm older. But at the same time, I want to stay single. 😆
for type 1, this is spot on :)
😹Funny stuff! I liked the 6(?) calling her mom. The 4, I get, because I tend to fantasize like that after watching an epically romantic movie 🙌🤣
Nothing better than fantasizing after an epically romantic movie or book!!
Love this 🤣🤣 I'm am 8 and my partner's a 4.
♥️
Wow the 1 was too right, my ideal person, is me 😂 only disagreement is that I don’t want my 4w5 husband to use Grammarly, because he has me to do that for him… 😅
hahaha love this
I related to type 5,6, and 7. I'm a 6
Another wonderful video! I love Type 1! Even I'd want to date myself...but alas, they broke the mould once I was finished 😂
8 with a 9 partner, I'm dead
You are amazing, Abby. So talented in how you can capture each type. I loved watching this one, and guessing the types. I think I'm getting it! :-)
Come here type 6's 🥺👉👈 let me love you ✨💖💞💕
I got called out by Types 5 and 1, even tho I'm a Type 4.
I actually HATE brooding types. I like guys that can make me laugh, guys who are reliable, and guys who know how to have fun.
Brooding can be fun, but hands down I want someone who makes me laugh!
I agree i liked 5, 4, and 1 even though I'm a 5w4. But for me, I like "less small talk"/a little intimidating (which can come off as brooding) BUT funny when get to know them.
You’re already brooding enough as a type 4 😂 you need someone to balance you out
As a 7 I’m with a 6, which is a pairing I rarely hear about, but we cover each other’s blind posts so it works out well. 😉
haha, fun! although as a 6 I didn't see myself in the 6 one. Definitely more of a 3 with some 7. Just wondering, Do other 6's feel seen here??
I agree!!
I was thinking the same thing-🤔
It was very easy to guess the types this time 😂 Type 3 and oh my, yeah… just dreaming with the perfect guy.
As a 5 i feel like 4s and 8s are always who I’m attracted to. Idk why But 8’s start talking and I just sit there in aw
Lmaooo I literally guessed mine! Type 9.
As a 6, I have boundaries but... its true that I need to ask my friends to describe "my type" because I dont have one, and I would be scared that idk maybe it even doesn't suit me so i would ask my friends
This was funny, for real. I could achieve 7/9. Great personifications!
thanks Eduardo!
