- A Ukrainian 9A330 Transporter, Launcher, and Radar (TLAR) of the Tor air defense system was rendered inoperable after being targeted by a Russian Lancet loitering munition in the Kherson Oblast.
This marks the first confirmed loss of this advanced air defense system, which is relatively rare in Ukrainian service.
The Tor air defense system is a critical component of Ukraine's defense capabilities, designed to protect against aerial threats, including aircraft, helicopters, and drones.

Lancet Russian drones are not rare. They are manufactured in Russia, they are used in Syria and now Ukraine. Do actual research.
Far from rare. Almost everyday i see a video of ukrainian m777 or defense radar or tank getting destroyed by a lancet strike. The title is very misleading.
They are rarely (in fact, never) seen on mainstream media, where they praise only last year's adventures of Ukrainian tattooed Nazis.

Rare is the TOR air defense system (which is destroyed in the video), of which Ukraine has only about 16 pieces.
The Lancet is a fairly common kamikaze drone that has already destroyed hundreds of Ukrainian armored vehicles.

from what i been seeing, lancet seems to be quite effective against arty like M777 and SPG which are less armored, have seen plenty of videos of SPG burning after getting hit. But they have been quite ineffective against tanks, since they are much more heavily armored, in this case i found it interesting the the Tor doesnt seem to be border at all, not sure wts the fate of this tor

Yes, for real tank they are underpowered. Though this TOR is not destroyed to the end, the TOR is full of electronics, antennas etc, so hit like this would put it out of the service at least for a while.

You only find any real amounts of armor on Infantry fighting vehicles or tanks. There are some armored scout vehicles and troop transports that aren't fighting vehicles, but they are rare. Armored humvees etc can't stand up to these types of attacks either.
We are talking about EFP (explosively formed penetrator) here as these loitering drones typically use this configuration of warhead, so there really isn't a light armored vehicle out there that can stand up to the penetration levels we are discussing.
Truth is that even the mighty American M113 (and other vehicles) use aluminum composite armor with Kevlar blankets inside to catch the spalling. None of these things (other than tanks) are as armored as you would think.
Mobile RADAR and SAM vehicles are designed to never be found and that is pretty much their only defense. Typically not even enough protection to stop .50BMG anywhere but the crew cabin.

This doesn't look like a lancet drone. Unless there's different configurations, they have 2 pairs of wings on the front and back. In the video I only see 1 set of wings.
This is an unfortunate coincidence of the camera angle and the angle of the sun. This is a Lancet with X wings and small tail rudders. It is the most common. On most videos of real work, you will see it.

The explosion jet penetrates inside, sometimes it can be seen a takn hit by a small explosion but then start burning from inside.

There's plenty of videos showing Russian drones destroying Ukrainian(or captured Russian) equipment.
There ain't a whole lot of video of high value targets being destroyed by Russia. The first reason is that Russian intel is garbage/laggy so they usually don't bother and just hit the static civilian infrastructure or random buildings in campaigns of terror. The second reason, although probably the most important one, is that Ukraine just doesn't have that many high value targets in the first place, or ammo to use in those targets.
The most obvious example is the S-300s. According to Oryx Russia destroyed about 1 out of every 6 S-300 launcher Ukraine had (at least compared to what they had at the start of the war)... but then so what? Ukraine was always in a situation where they had to carefully pick and chose what to intercept and even more so today.
Who cares man. The truth needs to get out there.
The video was shot by the second Orlan drone. It also leads to the target. The drone itself is the Lancet 2. It has a small charge of about 2 kg. Only the Russian Federation has all this. And such shots are not so rare. Now they began to use Lancet 3 drones with a charge of 5 kg.
