Bunny's Feeling About Birds - Bunny "Talks"
Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 січ 2021
- Bunny has big feelings about birds.
We added the "What" button so that Bunny could about the world around her and inform me of things she might be interested in talking about. Choosing when and what new words to add comes down to: Does she seem unable to express a need; does she seem bored. If I were her, what would I want to talk about?
Bunny typically has big feelings about birds, so we added a "bird" button, and today presented an excellent moment to model and reinforce.

I'm a pilot in the Seattle area and it makes my day to know that some day Bunny might say bird at me as I fly by.
So jealous of you right now, i had a few flying lessons before I had to move to the uk to look after my dying uncle..i took my log book with me but never had time to go get lessons over there..plus lessons there were 2c the price..so it never got done..hats off to you living my dream..
That’s precious honestly
That's so sweet. 🥰
That is absolutely adorable
This struck me as so sweet that I felt compelled to tell you. I'm not a big commenter.
"Use your words, Bubba."
She put her entire *being* into that bark.
"Use your words"
Bunny: *WORDS*
‘Oh...my bad...you meant hooman words...’
It’s exactly 1 k no one like it
@@Catmoore60 oops
You want words, Mom? ROOF!
That bark sounded for all the world like "you KNOW what I'm saying"
And the 'mad' felt like she was saying cmon mom you should learn some of MY words once in a while
That and the huff of frustration after the bark sounded like she was fed up.
I'm absolutely floored that opening the door revealed an airplane outside after she said "concerned, bird, love you, mom, look, sound, go, potty, see" - it just translates so directly to: "mom there's a sound in the sky outside and it's like a bird and those things are already weird but this one is extra weird and i don't understand it and i want to make sure my pack is safe so i need to alert you of this urgent matter right now outside you gotta come seeeeee" ... and it's all so toddler-like... doggo brains are just so toddler-y 😭💗
Bravo!
yeah thats pretty nuts eh and I guess thats why people find them so cute aswell
airplane to me now will be known as concerned bird
Maybe Alexis could show Bunny some videos about planes so she can learn about them.
That is an astute interpretation. Do you have children?
“Concerned” is my favorite button 😂
It’s amazing she understands that isn’t it? I love “oops”. Cracks me up she realizes she made a mistake!
It Concerns' me that you like that button
All I can think of is the "concern" meme image and it makes me smile
Airplanes are just really big birds, aren’t they? They’re in the sky, they have wings, they make noise, drop things sometimes, and sometimes even carry diseases.
lol, love how You wrote that! You are absolutely correct...
not to mention that my cat catches them all the time 🙄
@@zeppie_ yeah.... that.. not so fun... We will be moving to the country/sea side, and I really hope mine will leave them alone...
Accurate!
Airplanes aren't dinosaurs, tho.
I like the way she took “potty” and made it her own word with different meaning. She connected that potty gets you outside quickly-so it’s a handy word to use for other pressing matters. Good girl Bunny!
I shouldn't be this excited for a dog to have access to a "what" button, but I am...
I am afraid to give my chihuahuas talking buttons. I think they would spend the whole day bossing me around. One already has a distinctive 'come help me right now!' bark. He usually wants tucked into his blanket. LOL
I was thinking this! I have two Chihuahuas and I feel like we’d all spend the day arguing 🤣
I feel you. I have a chi, a wiener, and a pom. They would spend all day either asking for food or to go outside. My dachshund already will loudly dig in her water bowl to let us know when it’s empty.
"Mad!" She must be learning from Billi 😂
"Use your words, Bubba."
*"You know damn well what I want!"*
She is so smart! Airplane, bird, both flying and making noise 😍
Yes
@@stefaniapopescu2555 She has too few buttons! 😸
@@dw1-norskgaming923 she does 😂. She's going to have so many words... Imagine her making such long sentences and you can understand exactly what she means.
@@stefaniapopescu2555 It will be fantastic!!!! The buttons are too few, and her experiences are many 😸 I always told my son, that our animals understand what we are saying (much of it). They are way smarter than we credit them for ❤️
@@dw1-norskgaming923 yes, that is indeed true.
At the end of Bunny's videos, I always seem to say, Wow. Bunny has generalized 'bird' to include 'airplane' Wow, amazing
I don't think Bunny knows what an airplane is, but rather thinks airplanes are big birds, because it's flying and it has wings.
@@Aspartem
I think Bunny KNOWS it’s not a bird, but because birds fly and that thing (the airplane) was also flying, she decided to address it as bird
@@Aspartem it's like when little kids say "doggy" to cats and horses, before knowing these words. They are trying to express what they can, with what limited vocabulary they have. They know a horse is not a dog. They might call it a big big dog. Or a grass dog. The airplane was a concerning bird.
@@omao4938 There was a comment somewhere else where a parrot was given apples and bananas and teached him about what their names are, so each time he asked for one he would say that name.
Then the parrot was given oranges but didn't tell him the name of it. When he tried ask for more of it, he said "banaples" in an attempt to reference oranges
Yeah, bunny probably knows that is not a bird, but since her vocabulary doesn't include an object like that, she went with the closest word to it, that being bird
Now consider the anciet stories about flying boats and flying chariots. If you didn't have a word for airplane or spacecraft.... what words would you use?
uh oh, shes starting to learn how to lie
Aaah she's so smart
right, telling the human you're going to potty in their house gets them to let you outside right away lol. Or else she just thinks of "potty" as a synonym for "outside".
Oh yeah! They all try to find loopholes! Doggies are smart, Bunny is phenomenal 🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰🐶🐶❤❤🥰🥰
@@rukisar6312 lol
My dog used to lie about things all the time.
"Use your words, Bubba."
Bunny: *UGH!!!*
She is the perfect combo of cute, derpy, and genius
Relatives: "so hows university going?"
Me: " MAD CONCERNED UPSTAIRS. OUTSIDE LOVE YOU"
"Mad!"
Not as mad as Billi the cat though.
@@HonestAuntyElle Mad is pretty much a cat’s default. lol
I'd be mad too with such a loud bird flying around my house!
My hens think the airplanes are birds of prey. They freak out just like they do when they see a hawk or eagle.
Hahaha
I was watching a video where the woman was rescuing a microbat. Those little bats have huge attitudes as it is, but a plane flew over and that bat reacted. It was livid at that point. The human world doesn’t make much sense to animals.
@@IJustWantToUseMyName The human world doesn't make much sense to me either.
@@KageMinowara truer words...
Your hens are correct. Planes are the large birds of cars.
My favourite one is when she asks who’s this then looks in the mirror
then "help." lol that made me laugh so hard
I always wondered if dogs saw airplanes as just big birds flying in the sky, and I think Bunny may have just answered that question for me 😳
I think Bunny is everyone's Disney fantasy come true in reality❤️. 🌻
It must be like with a toddler. You learn everytime new old things
This is amazing..you can literally see this animal (Bunny Girly) learning and taking in everything. She is full on communicating with her Momma. You see it in her eyes once she makes the connection. I can’t wait for this to be the ‘norm’ in every home. The possibilities are endless I can even imagine it being able to be used as evidence during investigations. “Think Turner & Hooch “ 👏💓👏
If so, then bad people might kill pets to get rid of their evidence. Or just steal them!
It's a bird, it's something I don't have a button for, it's Super Bunny.
It's a bird! It's a plane! - Bunny kind of understands the description of Superman, really.
That moment when she barks and realized that she speak a different language
Oh those nasty birds. You tell em bunny 😂
Thank you for these posts! Your “talking” fur-ball is a welcome break from the rest of the world! And it’s amazing to watch her vocabulary grow and the complexity of her thoughts. I also appreciate that most of the videos are only a few minutes long, which is perfect. Thanks!
So impressive 👍 I never thought dogs have their thoughts actually just like humans. I believe this improves our knowledge about all animals in this planet.
It is incredible to watch this Bunny journey unfold!!!!🐰
Birds that sound like airplanes would concern me, also. 😁
Mom, love you. That's a big ass bird!!!
Our boxer feels the same way about crows! 🤣 My dad has planter boxes on our top balcony to grow veggies and stuff, and whenever he sees crows out there he begs to be let out to chase them off. Naturally, crows being the assholes they are, swoop around him just barely out of reach
LOL... very smart assholes though!
That confident "mad" though
Maybe she used the "urgent outside" button because she knows this kind of "bird" goes away quickly and she's wanted to ask you about it before, but couldn't because by the time you both got outside, the "bird" was gone?
It's in the sky, that makes it a bird. Esp. if she can't catch it. Makes sense to me.
Airplanes are birds. Very small birds, flying very slowly, but still making big noise.
Birds (crows) are very small dogs. They all want to play with Bunny. If Bunny cannot play with them, she feels ‘mad’.
One of my dogs rings a bell to go outside but after a while she started ringing if her water bowl is empty or if she wants a treat🤷♀️
Butler, I require your services !
Pavlov laughing in his grave.
Lol I imagine my dog would just ring the bell all day.
My dog used to stare at me and slooooowly pull my dish towels down one by one as I said "Don't you DARE pull that dish towel down!"
Very cool! Perhaps she needs buttons for different types of Birbs or other wildlife? If boredom is sometimes a reason to add buttons , I have to think that wildlife would be a fun category for her.
I see u might be a birb meme connosueir, ah, yes, indeed that is the right way to spell bird 🐣
Bunny making the connection between birds and airplanes. Birds tweet, airplanes make noise, but both fly in the air.
When I first taught my little munchkin to be careful about eagles, I would make the hand sign and say .... eagle undercover, only to have her roll over on her back and look up at the sky. I am like, No, you need to run over to the bushes for protection, not lay on your back and look for the eagles. She repeatedly did this until she finally figured out to run over to the bushes. That night we went to bed and I realized what she thought I meant by eagle undercover which was to hide her from the eagles by placing her blanket (covers) on her. The eagles can't see us under the covers mom.
Have fun explaining airplanes to your sweet Bunny.
Bunny is just so amazing! Every time I watch one of her videos, it blows my mind. I've always been certain my dog understands most of what humans say. His facial expressions and reactions alone speaks volumes towards how he feels about certain things, it's quite comical. We have a great connection and he can communicate his needs pretty effectively, but to see Bunny become so self aware and ask questions... wow. I showed him her videos and asked if he'd be interested in trying to learn... his face was priceless. I'd say he's pretty keen on the idea, we will soon see!
Im very touched about how smart she uses the words.
Must be so wonderful to have moments of true understanding with your dog.
Almost magical! 😍
Can't get enough of these uploads about Bunny's progress!
Curious how you taught her the meaning of "why"
Obviously BIRD is a big concern for Bunny , organic or man-made. 😂😂😂
I turn my volume all the way up and your videos are hard to hear but I have to watch them because I find it fascinating. Your dog is gorgeous and so very smart!
I mean, a plane is kind of like a bird. She's amazing!!! Now she's learning to tell little fibs huh? Lol
Stay safe everyone...💛
mabye add the buttons safe and urgent safe to asure her if scared and urgent so she wont use potty
And she could use "urgent, potty." to say that she has to go badly.
I think she already has a “now” button
@@almostapples8967 true, but I think to Bunny, “now” doesn’t carry the same nuance and multiple meanings as it does for us. For her, it just means “at the present moment” without clear, inherent feeling behind it. So “urgent” would likely fill a gap for her, though might be hard to model
i am literally floored how do you even train bunny to use the what "word" for inquiry and mad that is an abstract word and feeling? it just boggles my mind wow
My parent's dog would be "Mad" at the birds too, he barks and barks at them.
Bird is a word
Bunny is so smart! She even knows the meanings of the buttons!!💕
Bunny, I tell EVERYONE about you .. But now most people already have seen you! You're so amazing and so very special... The whole wide world loves you!!🐾💗
I just love this little girl/dog, she is so brave, I just can't seem to stop watching these videos.
It's absolutely fascinating that Bunny can apparently process where and (approximately) what an aeroplane is. It's amazing that she's trying to use her existing vocabulary to quantify what the aeroplane is, and express that to you.
The aeroplane has wings and flies. The aeroplane is "small". The aeroplane is noisy. "Bird" roughly describes it.
I would like to see how she greets mom & dad when they get home after being gone a while. :D with or without the speech buttons. I think it would be adorable! TFS with us!
"Use your words..."
*"ARFK"*
You should try expanding on Mad and Concerned as its apparent that "Mad" is a go to for something that can't be expressed. I'd say concerned is also another one. Try introducing a "What is" button and the options for smell and sound, maybe outside sound and inside sound.
I think she was Mad because Bunny expressed herself clearly thru the bark that she wanted to go outside lol (also this vid they did add a what button). The rest I agree with
I love Bunny!
Lol, our standard male poodle excelled at calling people for assistance as a toddler by continually ringing the bell that signified needing to go potty. We used one for one week with the same results, before contacting the breeder and discovering his early learning success. Needless to say that tool was removed due to his early mastery. Even now he and his sister will use the alert bark to gain access to outside or to gain access to laptime when a particular lap is occupied. This alert causes the lap pup to run to the door and the alerting pup to scramble for the lap. We are contemplating the system you are using, since most conversations currently have fluency gaps on the human side. They are going on three years old next month. More training is in progress, but it has been interesting learning their communication style before seeing the system you are using.
AWESOME! She knew it flew like a bird!
Awwwww cute!
I can just see it in my mind's eye... "Bunny that bird has human in belly!"
I could watch Bunny all day.
Love watching Bunny!! Smart cookie! Very beautiful❤
This is so amazing. I love watching you teach Bunny and Bunny teach you!
I love your videos of Bunny. They have made me think of the many ways my dog, Lily, and I communicate and they have enriched our relationship. Would it be too much to ask for you to hold your phone sideways when you make a video so that your videos are in wide-screen? Thanks for showing us your adventure with Bunny!
I think she makes the videos for/on instagram which explains the vertical. She then uploads them on youtube. I guess if youtube becomes the primary means of showing progress we might get wide screen videos.
I agree. I would watch more, but am tired of squinting to see her captions and I'm not (probably never will be) on IG
@@jersey282 I watch another channel that films vertically, likely for IG/TikTok, but their shots are closer and don't involve squinting to read miniscule text. So if they stay with this format, at least give an tiny intro tacked on, spoken or written, so we can actually read what it says
@@LindaC616 Same here. I'm watching on a 7" tablet, and to see the captions I have to view it on full screen AND increase the resolution, both of which usually cause delays on this tablet. But I keep doing it because I'm so fascinated with Bunny!
@@TieDyeVikki from my phone, I just can't, as sweet as she is
The mad about the bird was so so funny omg
I like that you said use your words and she was so upset she yelled in her first language
Bird = Sky flier
So cool how she uses the best available word known to her. I wonder how in depth she could go with categorisation... such as recognise & learn names of different types of birds. Although maybe it would have to be a subject of particular relevance or interest to her.
I love watching you and bunny's adventures learning how to talk
Omg. Her and the bird are besties.
she's such a good dog awwww
Bunny is concerned about the birds. Hahahahaha! Next she'll be saying they are drones. 🤣
love the view of your home~
I laugh so hard at these videos. 😂😂😂💚💜❤️
*watches Hitchcock*
Bunny: *Concerned* *Birds*
Makes sense that airplanes look like big birds to her.
I find this absolutely amazing and interesting!!! Only further intensified my love for dogs!!!
I love bunny. She is adorable. And very smart.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
i love how the birds got her so agitated she couldn't use multiple buttons to explain, only bothered to press a big MAD lol
Smart and cute Bunny 🐰 one day she will rule the world 🌎
amazing
lol ok when bunny figures this out PLEASE post asap, i have every confidence she will solve all the worlds problems!
My cattle dog has chased across the yard, jumping up and barking, at a Cessna..
This dog will be the start of the animal take over
Bunny wants to go potty to see the birds how cute ☺️
So cute 😍
I was waiting for a reference to "upstairs" when observing the bird on the eirey
Not to apply any sort of pressure on your family, but should you choose to have children in the future, I'm really curious how Bunny will talk about them.
How do you reinforce a word's meaning? Also, since her buttons, does she bark less?
I feel seen. Hi Bunny!
I want a mad button too
Potty... means another way to get Mom to open door for outside.
Bird is the word.
the “mad” sent me disjsjkedj
birbs
I would add buttons with names for different types of birds so that we could birdwatch together 😆
Mom... It flies, it makes noise, it's a birdn! (the airplane, lol)
When you will begin to ask the real good questions? The heavy ones lol
