I absolutely LOVE your Hoya collection!! This is the first video of yours that I've watched and I totally love your video style, talking to camera, while also showing off the plants (in amazing lighting). I gotta say, this video is not helping me with my no buy challenge I'm doing... I NEED THESE PLANTS!
Wow this collection is huge and has so many great things in it, but I can't help but be in love w that regular carnosa. The size!!! Shes a thing of beauty
Thank you for dedicating the whole video on Hoya’s. I have been watching a lot of UA-cam videos since March. ( staying at home) I want to add some to my plant family. I have really fell in love with them. I have noticed Hoya’s seem to be skipped over when some UA-camr’s do their video’s when plant shopping and showing us around plant stores. It’s hard to know what a reasonable price is for them if we don’t see them in stores from around the different places.
Your OG Carnosa =Goals! I recently found one and it has already pushed out 3 new vines in addition to the two I purchased it with about a month ago 🌸 Also, thanks for enabling me to get more as you should done I “need” 😂
I love Hoya. I won a DS70 from one of the plant tubers and have been nuts for them ever since the DS70 bloomed.... You have an impressive connection.... Thanks for sharing them...
Love your smooth b-roll! The green compacta will grow fast with more light. Mine gets some direct light in the afternoon and now grows/flowers most of the year. :)
This was amaaaazinggg! I love the close up shots that you added those were incredible! I have a hoya australis albomarginata and it actually reverted on me 😫 The plus side is that the new green growth is fuzzier than the regular australis lol 😅 I know they have a fuzzy version, and also a large leaf version! ☺️ great great great video and such a gorgeous collection! 🥰
Oh the Hoya!! Stunning plants. My Curtisii is a drama queen. Almost always on the verge of death. Yet it still grows. I just occasionally glance at it, not too long, and send it positive wishes. You don’t have a princess, surprising. Haaa. Great video as always.
I really enjoyed this show of your Hoyas! Very impressive, I watched all of it! My favorite one is the Hoya obovata, just the regular one, I love it's fat round leaves! The splash form is very nice too. Thanks for sharing!
I just got my first Hoya. The garden worker said it's a Hoya but not what type. I think it is like your first one. I'm hooked also. I love it. I want to know all about it. Thanks for your video
Whoa!! Adam!! I def need to make a trip up to your side of AZ when things settle down to see these Hoyas in person!! Your collection is absolutely perfect!!! ❤🥰😍
Just subscribed after watching you and the crazy plant guy. You have a very relaxed way about you as you describe each plant. Very calming. I love your Hoya carnosa compacta verigata. Damn just saw one at the local nursery and passed on it $24. I’m thinking I’ve gotta go and get it. Thanks a lot. LOL.
OMG... THAT WAS THE BEST HOYA VIDEO I EVER WATCHED!! THANK YOU!! You have so many and they are so so so very HOT lol!! I am so going to put an order in for more lecca and something I never purchased before and that's the juice to get it poppin' lol. Thank you so much for this video. By the way, I watched the entire video and it was sooooooooooo worth it!
I know this is an older video so you probably already figured this out BUT! Nick Pileggi has great luck with variegated hoya macrophylla, and he has primarily western and southern windows! Maybe slap that bad boy in some brighter light. Nick's channel is great too, highly recommend it!
Such beautiful plants to collect you have a lot of Hoyas thank you 🙏 for sharing I just started collecting Hoya plants this few months ago and I love 💕 it there easy to take care of and there beautiful enjoy watching greetings from California ❤️
Beautiful collection Adam. They really are thriving in Leca. I have a huge Princess with so many different stems of sorts that I’m going to take cuttings and root them up in leca and super thrive. 🌿🌱🌸. Great video as always. Cheers 🍻
Absolutely beautiful hoyas :) My favourites from the ones you showed are H. serpens, H. 'Chelsea" (I want that one so badly!!! Sadly not easy to find here in Europe) H. rotundiflora (I think you called it rotundifolia, but it's rotundiflora ;) because it has absolutely round flowers) Also kudos for serpens, it is known to be very fussy because it likes humidity and also likes it a bit more chill compared to others, and it has absolutely beautiful fuzzy blooms pretty big compared to the size of it's leaves actually :) I wanna try and grow mine in pure pumice, I have it in sphagnum moss so far and it's not growing very fast. I do wanna test a few cuttings in pure pumice :) All the variegated hoyas are beautiful too hard to pick and choose haha :)
Thank godddd, a hoya collection video with uncommon and interesting hoya, good camera work, and a pleasant background. I've been trying to find hoya collection videos but all of them have weird country music blasting for no reason, they are filming inside of a tornado, or one lady got upset that her Pubicalyx is called Pubicalyx because she thinks the name is "ugly" because it sounds like pubes. I can't. Anyway, I love your channel and I especially love it when you get drunk with Becca and Nicole. Thanks for the fun content!
Hi Adam! Just so you know, I always hit the like button as soon as the video, or ad, starts because I already know I'll like it, and your videos are never too long. I love listening to you talk about anything for however long it takes. You have a great voice. I love looking at you, too! You're just so darn cute! WOW, you have such a beautiful collection of Hoyas! I know I've said it before, but I'm considering transferring my Hoyas to Leca, but like others, I'm really nervous about it. LOL! I'm the most worried about cleaning the soil off of the roots and maybe damaging them. Would you please do a video when you transfer them to Leca? I've watched your other video on this, but can't get enough! Also, please do a video when you trellis some of them. I'm looking forward to your videos on putting other plants on a trellis, too. I have a Philo Brazil that I want to put on a trellis, or moss pole, but have never done that before. Thank you so much for sharing your Hoya collection with us! Stay safe! Also, thank you for sharing Patches at the end!
Are you kidding me!? I loved your video, like so many others!!! You had me pulling out my pen adding to my wishlist!🤣 I didn't know that there was such a plant as a hoya obovata variegated splash! It's GORGEOUS!!!!🥰 Do you remember were you purchased it from? And you made me contemplate polishing my nails but I wish I had the option of a nail salon right about now.😕 Anywho, you have a great day & stay safe my dear.
Oh My ! Some beautiful hoyas I would LOVE to own. Still trying my hand at semi hydro - I think I should just buy the trio of nutrients already. Thanks for sharing your beautiful plants.
as soon as you said the idea that the big plant would be uncared for would hurt ur heart I subbed lol this is exactly the content i've been lookin for, my exact ethos
Im new to hoyas and i also order from Russia. I am excited. I actually thought of that hoya obovata variegated and now i regret i didnt get it. Its ok maybe when i have the money again i will get another batch of beautiful hoyas. In the meantime i’ll enjoy your rad hoya collection, i learned a lot and maybe i will do passive hydro with leca on my hoyas once it arrives. Thanks!
nice collection! i’m really interested in that Hoya Carnosa Compacta Variegata; gotta say that is my fave. i own one; the Hoya Carnosa with speckling. i i took a small cutting from a mature plant years ago. it’s a good size but not near as big as the one you inherited. 👍🏾😉
I enjoyed your video and it was very fascinating to see varieties that were unknown to me. I'm not going to tell you how many hoya serpens I have killed. Your hoya obovata variegated splash is absolutely stunning.
Thank you for rejuvenating my interest in hoya. The only one I have (Carnosa splash?) has been in plain water and a glass jar for almost 40 years. Yes, you heard that right. It hasn't grown huge but has flowered year after year. Transplanting today to a soil mix. Wish me luck. I am interested in obtaining several more different varieties (7 to be exact, for now) and would like to know if you have any recommendations to get cuttings/starts inexpensively? I live in Ohio and will probably have to wait til next spring. Thanks again and happy growing.
You have an amazing Hoya collection! I've just begun my journey into collecting Hoyas and came across this video while searching for types to add to my wish list......found some! LOL Thank you for sharing your collection! I'm definitely subscribing so I can watch more of your videos! Have a great weekend!
Thanks!!! I love hoyas too. And this is a video I could watch again and again. I'm from Australia and I think there's about 7 different hoya Australis species. I have 5 of them. But the lisa is so hard to get in Australia! Crazy! And I've never seen the varigated round form albomarginata.
Hi Adam. I'm not a huge Hoya fan but I watch all your videos. . I am in stage 3 here in Barbados. Only leaving home to go to the supermarket. I learned a lot so maybe I will start to care for the 2 Hoyas on my verandah.😉. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
Am I binge watching your hoya videos when I should be asleep? Yes.
🥰🥰
Ohh my god, that hoya carnosa compacta variegata is just too much. It's so lovely.
