I wonder if this takes place after green mountain 1. First we climb the mountain, we kill the person who went up there with us, became the one we sought to destroy, and went back down the mountain to go on a murderous rampage.
i'm unsure if anybody has noticed this, but in root/marble zone, some of the level decorations look a tad bit like gravestones. also, i have seen some people say that the thing at the end of leave_/spring yard looks like either a hospital bed or a bench, but you know what i see? i see a casket.
If I remember correctly, inside the game files of Green mountain it said a date August 19th In this video this game was posted on August 22nd Also at the very end of the game that looks like a bed ir a coffin because at the very end it sounds like a police siren so it implies that somebody got hit by a car But before it was going there it's, there were sounds going on that sounded like it could be ran through a spectrogram and I see one user said it showed a forest The rest of the games files are showed by one user who has it and it's pasted a long assortment of it.
This could possibly be a part of the lore. I wonder if defeating those badniks mean anything. I guess we'll find out when someone dives into the files of the game.
Bruh we got Green Mountain 2 before we got GTA 6. Anyways, the first green mountain was about someone getting killed in a mountain apparently, so I'm going to assume the ending means someone got killed in their sleep? That thing at the end looks like a bed to me anyways. One of the comments here pointed out that the badnicks seemed to have spawned near what can be called their homes, which I think is interesting to consider. Looking forward to Green Mountain 3 where they have Labyrinth Zone, Star Light Zone, and Scrap Brain Zone in their spooky versions, lel.
@TarkTheWild I'm p sure it is actually 811. That's the number you call before you dig/bury something, lmao. There's a website for it and everything :]
I actually used the Undertale Modding Tool for that, it seems like there is some crazy shit in there, even the sound files are named weird stuff (the sprites too)
I love how in normal sonic the robots are one hit and poof the machine disappears and the animal is freed. But here, they are shown to be getting more and more destoryed after each hit, slowing down until, eventually, becoming a lifeless husk that sits there. It almost makes you feel sad in a way for destorying these machines that never wanted to harm you. The fact that this happens in the scrapyard zone of Sonic 1 is almost even sadder.
Ok so... ...what the fuck even happened here- what even IS any of this supposed to mean?! All I can gather is...we aren't playing as a good person. We aren't someone who we should root (hah) for, cause... I swear it feels like we're KILLING people in this with each badnik.
a lot of people here seem to think that's the point, with people's theories so far being that Sonic intentionally not is or has or will kill people. which is what we see in Spring Yard / Leave_. as clearly you aren't supposed to be killing people with the badniks.
@@bowiethrasher220 I thought about it for a bit and I think the Badniks are supposed to represent people's cars. The 'bed' at the end might be a coffin and the traffic light could represent that whatever the monster used to be was killed by a car. There have been cases where animals taken revenge on vehicles. Like a Border Collie who was slashing tires with her teeth in a town cause a car had hit her. The monster might be taking that same revenge.
@@TheLBat20 This just popped into my head. What if Purple Mountain represents one of those parking buildings? Sonic traverses down the mountain so he's bound to wind up in some man-made structure. A parking building has different levels so it can hold extra cars if a spot is full. The monster would have to go back and forth in order to destroy the cars/Badniks due to this.
Something I realized is that every time Sonic hits a badnik it plays a faint dial and because he kills the badniks 3 times that means it represents the victims trying to dial 911 but then they were killed trying to dial 911. I could be wrong but it’s just a theory.
EVERYONE PERSONAL HOT TAKE. while the ending can be anything, that anything. ...could also be a hospital bed. think about what the bench looks like when put next to the lamp post. it looks like a bed. and it looks like. an IV Drip. NEXT to it. if Sonic didn't kill anyone with that ending somehow, then I do think someone is at least in the hospital. LATER ADDED THING: perhaps the person he killed or the person who is in the hospital could be Amy Rose if she ever appears? there does seem to be a Woman amongst the Cast of this Creepypasta, maybe if she does appear the story will be Amy dies somehow whether or not Sonic was related to her death or not but then after losing her he like goes crazy or something and goes on a rampage or something,
Imagine if this is either a prequel to Green Mountain because we don't see Sonic's facless counterpart or this takes place where Sonic went to the left right where End is at but doesn't fight him but enters this secret area of Green Mountain.
Something i noticed: the name of the corrupted marble is "root" as in r2's early name "Ridicule Root". We know, that r2 was heavily inspired by marble zone, but was abandoned by the sonic cd devs, due to lack of space on the disc. What if "root" was abandoned by the world after getting corrupted the same way as green mountain?
the badniks spawn outside of what look like to be houses and the game provides no further explanation to why so theres probably some story outside of the game that green mountain 1+2 is trying to explain, are the badniks supposed to be people and is sonic some sort of murderer?
Wait,I just realized something….what if this is showing us what it was before the cycle started? Whoever or whatever this sonic is,he clearly is of no good intent as he brutally killed those badniks in front of those makeshift homes, this probably implies before the cycle,he could’ve been a cereal killer. As for the ending to this one,I’m not entirely sure what it is I’m looking at,could be either a coffin or a couch, not sure which yet. And as for why he suddenly turns into a lamppost, still lost on that too…
no way. Another game where you jump around in complete silence before one unsettling thing happens and then you explore the game files to try and find weird lore! FINALLY!
Here’s another theory: What if the enemies are probably real people maybe neighbors and sonic is a serial killer? You might notice how the enemies are always attached to something that looks like a house.
so something interesting, the enemies make the same dial tones every time when hitting/killing them. with a bit of fumbling i found that the tones matched the numbers 732, which is an area code for new jersey. that with the house motifs all throughout, maybe it's a setting of some sort?
Good gameplay! Glad to see a continuation from this game. I don't know if we get a third part because im still wondering where the story is going. But man why so many comments are just like sarcastic or something out of ordinary? They don't take this game context and mysterious lore very seriously huh
I guess that it's because the game it's just sonic running around with saturated colors, no background or music, and sometimes encountering a badnik, and a bunch of cryptic lore, that kind of thing it's overdone

"Green mountain is lookin alot more like purple mountain right about now"
*thousand yard stare*
I wonder if this takes place after green mountain 1. First we climb the mountain, we kill the person who went up there with us, became the one we sought to destroy, and went back down the mountain to go on a murderous rampage.
i'm unsure if anybody has noticed this, but in root/marble zone, some of the level decorations look a tad bit like gravestones.
also, i have seen some people say that the thing at the end of leave_/spring yard looks like either a hospital bed or a bench, but you know what i see? i see a casket.
If I remember correctly, inside the game files of Green mountain it said a date
August 19th
In this video this game was posted on August 22nd
Also at the very end of the game that looks like a bed ir a coffin because at the very end it sounds like a police siren so it implies that somebody got hit by a car
But before it was going there it's, there were sounds going on that sounded like it could be ran through a spectrogram and I see one user said it showed a forest
The rest of the games files are showed by one user who has it and it's pasted a long assortment of it.
Green mountain 2: Electric Boogaloo
Seems like whoever got buried in the first game wasn't too happy about it...
So, we have...
Green Mountain, Purple Ruins, Dusk/Scrap Yard.
Maybe the future zone could be...
Maze, Night, Factory
Maze = Labyrinth Zone
Night = Starlight Zone
Factory = Scrap Brain Zone
13:56 Spectrogram?
i put it in a spectrogram and looked at that part of the audio, and it resembled a forest to me
@@stardustchloehuh. A forest what could it mean exactly?
Green Mountain 2: More Green than ever
for a second i thought the bed was the front of a car and it represented the theory on how those two guys ran over something in the og green mountain
one thing i noticed, when you hit the badniks, they try to run away, like.. normal people when they get attacked. oh god.
Its a medical dropper

Is that me or is that a sound of a woman drowning? and the sound at the end its like...
police siren?
…
yeah it does sound like someone drowning
Mr president they hit the 2nd mountain
Twin mountains
@@theannoyingrobot1817I hope this doesn't mean twin towers
Ok so what if at 5:55 is a table with a phone on it, possibly to call 811, since two people were gonna bury someone or something idk.
*211
@TarkTheWild I'm p sure it is actually 811. That's the number you call before you dig/bury something, lmao. There's a website for it and everything :]
In the first game they said that they were going to bury a body, so i agree.
It looks like a date. I could be wrong, but I heard '911', which means January 19th.
got taken out behind the shed but at least we were able to preserve it.
LOOK AT THE ARCHIVES, there has to be lore
You mean files?

I actually used the Undertale Modding Tool for that, it seems like there is some crazy shit in there, even the sound files are named weird stuff (the sprites too)

Greening my mountain rn
A SECOND GREEN MOUNTAIN HAS HIT THE SWAG
Things just got a little more Green!
Everyone : WAIT THERE IS GREEN MOUNTAIN 2 ?!?!
Grenmoun_S O N I C : it always has been....
Ok so...
...what the fuck even happened here-
what even IS any of this supposed to mean?!
All I can gather is...we aren't playing as a good person. We aren't someone who we should root (hah) for, cause...
I swear it feels like we're KILLING people in this with each badnik.
Considering Badniks are powered by an animal inside, this definitely has story importantance.
a lot of people here seem to think that's the point,
with people's theories so far being that Sonic intentionally not is or has or will kill people. which is what we see in Spring Yard / Leave_. as clearly you aren't supposed to be killing people with the badniks.
Hmmmmm,interesting theories🤔
@@TheLBat20 This just popped into my head. What if Purple Mountain represents one of those parking buildings? Sonic traverses down the mountain so he's bound to wind up in some man-made structure. A parking building has different levels so it can hold extra cars if a spot is full. The monster would have to go back and forth in order to destroy the cars/Badniks due to this.
Manual for the game :
Sonic is now on a adventure. Just play along and see what happens..

"And the journey continues." Falls off mountain.
im greening my mountain two times in a roll
Something I realized is that every time Sonic hits a badnik it plays a faint dial and because he kills the badniks 3 times that means it represents the victims trying to dial 911 but then they were killed trying to dial 911.
I could be wrong but it’s just a theory.
fire theory
4:15 - 4:39 - 7:01 - 7:21 - 8:24 - 9:41 - 11:03 - 11:33 - 12:58 This is how the Badniks must have resisted 2 hits
Sir, a second green mountain has hit the sonic
The audio at the end HAS to be a spectrogram.
Best greenmountain player of this year
Green mountain so good it got a sequel
who up greening they mountain til you two
EVERYONE PERSONAL HOT TAKE.
while the ending can be anything, that anything.
...could also be a hospital bed. think about what the bench looks like when put next to the lamp post.
it looks like a bed. and it looks like. an IV Drip. NEXT to it.
if Sonic didn't kill anyone with that ending somehow, then I do think someone is at least in the hospital.
LATER ADDED THING: perhaps the person he killed or the person who is in the hospital could be Amy Rose if she ever appears? there does seem to be a Woman amongst the Cast of this Creepypasta,
maybe if she does appear the story will be Amy dies somehow whether or not Sonic was related to her death or not but then after losing her he like goes crazy or something and goes on a rampage or something,
Reminder: In green mountain the characters in here are suppose to represent actual people
Imagine if this is either a prequel to Green Mountain because we don't see Sonic's facless counterpart or this takes place where Sonic went to the left right where End is at but doesn't fight him but enters this secret area of Green Mountain.
Sweet! Episode 2.
imagine being outside on a cold night then you see THIS SONIC SPRINTING AT YOU
sanic music plays
Something i noticed: the name of the corrupted marble is "root" as in r2's early name "Ridicule Root". We know, that r2 was heavily inspired by marble zone, but was abandoned by the sonic cd devs, due to lack of space on the disc. What if "root" was abandoned by the world after getting corrupted the same way as green mountain?
the badniks spawn outside of what look like to be houses and the game provides no further explanation to why so theres probably some story outside of the game that green mountain 1+2 is trying to explain, are the badniks supposed to be people and is sonic some sort of murderer?
GM 1: killing your friend
GM 2: killing some ppl
GM 3: killing an entire city

Those sounds at the end make me uncomfy. And the sudden cut off too...

Green mountain 1 was a loop,
This is just something else.
Wow this is really the Green Mountain!
2:19 did anybody see the other sonic while going down?
green mountain fans when purple hill pulls up
Wait,I just realized something….what if this is showing us what it was before the cycle started? Whoever or whatever this sonic is,he clearly is of no good intent as he brutally killed those badniks in front of those makeshift homes, this probably implies before the cycle,he could’ve been a cereal killer. As for the ending to this one,I’m not entirely sure what it is I’m looking at,could be either a coffin or a couch, not sure which yet. And as for why he suddenly turns into a lamppost, still lost on that too…
The 'cereal' killer went coocoo for cocoa puffs
these badniks are just built different
no way. Another game where you jump around in complete silence before one unsettling thing happens and then you explore the game files to try and find weird lore! FINALLY!

Any green mountain content, I will eat it up, doesn’t matter what it is imma eat it upppp cuz I love green mountain so much
Won't lie guys. Green is the scariest color 😢
It’s also not creative
Imagine chilling outside then suddenly some blind ass hedgehog unstoppably stomps on you till you become dust
Did anyone hear what sounds like a dail tone when the robots where hit? You may need headphones to hear it.
Ah, yes marble zone, one of the few underused places in exes
this is so confusing i love it

Green mountain 2: the returnal
Didn’t expect a sonic creepypasta to get an official sequel
To anyone commenting about the gamejacker accusations and deciding to be rude to the creator, I don't know one way or the other personally if this person made the original game, or this game, I cant pick a side. Theres possible evidence either way but right now its just a theory. It doesn't give you a reason to go and shit talk the creator of this video, wait until the truth comes out, its not that serious lol
From the way that the faceless Sonic appeared to be running away from us, I feel like we’re the villain in this game
