I was 15 in 78 and hitting every show I could get to, and always dug them but never caught Priest. All these yrs after the fact, I finally understand what my gone-before was trying to share with me in 84 and why he loved this band so much. Thanks, Lino.
No doubt about it, Rob Halford has 1 of the best voices of rock. No auto tune or filters; pure Rob. This is not the best audio but his voice still comes out pure perfection. I also want to add that Rob has great stage presence and theatrics.
I love Halford's voice, but there are thousands of singers with better range and vocal techniques. So he's not phenomenal singer. I think that Rob is a metal god because of incredible emotions and charisma in his singing. Many singers can pitch these high notes, but no one can do it so beautiful.
So much different between then and now. I was 10 yrs old then. Rob is still rockin! There are not that many musicians doing that. Maybe Stevie Nicks and Elton John.
@@michaelmathes1991 Simon Phillips was another one. Did the amazing drums for Dissident Aggressor and then just dipped; some of the best early metal beats at the time, then just fell off the face of the Earth.
Glen Tipton was playing a most awsome solo.....but the camera stupidness showed everything else except the spotlight on Glen playing that massively awesome solo....that nobody will ever see.....because of stupidnes....
we must protect this upload at all costs, i remembered it having better quality, but maybe its just my memory, still im happy it still exists.

THIS VIDEO AND AUDIO NEEDS TO BE REMASTERED

Pretty rare golden stuff. Raw like I had never seen before.
Rob's vocal is almost identical to the studio version, great performance.
I know it's unbelievable. So immensely talented.
The whole band here is, apparently harder to acheive than you may think
Pre 80's Halford still leaves me speechless every time.
Yeah. This can’t be taught.
This is why Halford can be called a God. No vocal teacher can explain this phenomenon. No-one can explain this.

Awesome
My fave.Singer.Rock on Robert.
Halford, King Diamond, Geoff Tate and Ozzy are the Heavy Rock/ Metal Mount Rushmore Greats!
I think Rob sounds amazing now considering his age. But this here is his peak.
Effortlessly hitting those high notes
Les Binks was such an awesome drummer for them. Shame he didn't last with them.
Best drummer they had .

@@leeham6230 Agree. He became a big time session drummer .
With Les JP was never tighter.
(Big fan of Scott too)
You know in the UK he was known as Feathertouch??
Halford Bowie
Супер!
Best fucking song ever
guitar solo in david bowie -moonage daydream solo at the end of composition
only 479 views? what the fuck is wrong with the world?
Great PA system here... Why was the PA so shitty in later concerts?
Not till Hell Bent!
Beat cover of this song according to me
this also supposed to be released as a 12" ep with two other songs,,someone know more about that?
Such a perfect tone with the Gibson guitars. Really poor tone in the mid 80s when they went for the hair metal guitars
Just before the black leather defined the band
No leather?
No, this is 1978.
The band start using it in 1979 with album killing machine

This solo is awesome, but I'm not sure that it's their best solo ever. What do you think about Prisoner of your eyes solo?
