That is a nice fly. It is very much like a Kami killer fly pattern but it has a bead head, and a Kami killer has a little more marabou in the tail. I learned of the Kami killer fly years ago, and it worked great for salmon here in Alaska, but I stopped using it for years because I did not see it at any shops anymore. I recently tried one that I tied up because I sat at the vise thinking about the fly that I had not used in years and the Kami killer hit my mind, so I tied some up. I couldn't wait to give them a try for silver (coho) salmon in the Kenai River. I had a trusty blue flash fly on first to not have anything grab except some zombie red-bodied red salmon, so I grabbed the pink Kami killer fly that is pretty much the same color as your fly in this video to strip it in to miss a couple of big silver (coho) salmon, so I cast out a few more times while I continued on stripping it in while giving it some twitching action to see this very nice chrome silver (coho) salmon come up to investigate, which stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the zombie red-bodied red salmon, so I kept stripping and twitching to see it move to grab, so once I felt it but saw the body turn, I set the hook and said, It is mine! I think I will tie some Kami killer flies with a bead head like your fly here because it should give them some nice action while stripping them in or swinging them.
