Yeah, that tends to happen to everyone after, oh, I dunno FORTY-FIVE YEARS or so. This was just a few years before he died. Have some respect. He was still a behemoth on the bass and, more importantly, a kind, witty and intelligent human being.
Had some correspondence with Steve back in '96/'97. Very kind man. Bought also his book "Are you ready Steve". A must read!
Wish I could read his book but it's no longer in print. Heard it was a great book. Steve was my favorite member of the band.
