  • ** Well guys, let's go do one of my favourite jobs on the farm, and that is some recreational tillage!
    ** I sprayed out some seeded down grass/alfalfa (been seeded for 10+years) over the course of the summer, and now rolling in with Protill to break it up and prepare it to plant for the 2021 season.
    ** I have enough videos uploaded to UA-cam to keep us going for next couple weeks haha, so if you are interested in staying a little more up to date, than check me out on Patreon, as that's what I use for my social media account 🙂

    You can set a minimum rpm (and when the tractor should hold it, f.e. PTO, hydraulic, or driving) in the Terminal via the tms menü. That could avoid the second, until tms knows that it needs Power.

    Hey there Mike. For your issue with the TMS. I Ran a Lot of tillage with a 933 Fendt in Ontario. I Set the rise and lowering of the implement on the Stop and Go. I then programmed the rpm memory to engage with the lowering of the implement and disabled it five or ten Seconds after that. This way the tractor never lowed down or dropped the rpm after turning around on the headland

      The usual rule of thumb that is used here in Australia for something like that is ten horsepower per Tyne foot . This is based on experience with soil types and also the Nebraska tests from years ago. With this being the case and all things being equal, you would only be able to use a fifty foot sowing rig especially if your using pro and hydraulics to drive thinks. You could try getting it repowered on farm to to the tune of 25%-30% there are mobs over there that do that. Even if you bought a case or stiegers tractor on tracts or law wide tyres of a similar power you might not gain much as you would expect

  • @beluxauto5968

    There is money to be made by renting out equipment . I can explain how but that´s for a different kind of platform than YT . Co-op equipment is most of the time beat up . The fact that I have a job fixing machinery all over the place and that our company is profitable every year is proof of that . When done the right way , rent , lease , financing , ect is very well doable . As for the 1050 , I did a few remaps this year ( yes the tractors are owned by our company and no AGCO warranty or permission needed ) and had good results . We also tested the 1100 series and I must say that the 1156 was impressive . Maybe not your choice but like us , you don´t care about the paint . You care about performance and durability .

    Sad to see that protill being mistreated and not maintained. Spending 5 minutes a day greasing that machine probably would extend its life by 50 percent or more . Rental units get abused and don't last . That 1050 is a nice tractor we ran one as a demo on a Grain cart last fall . Here in southern Michigan we really don't see to many fendt or challenger tractors . I prefer our case and Deere machines but I keep an open mind due to rapid improvements in machine design in all brands . Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !

But I'm wondering when you hook up to equipment that uses hydraulics, like the one you got from their co-op. when you operate the hydraulics, does the hydraulic fluid that's in or used on the implement, mix with the hydraulic oil that's in your tractor? Thus it all becomes one big soup? And could that not be bad if the last operator of the implement or tractor, doesn't maintain their fluid and filters properly? I mean you could pass on trouble to someone else is my point. ?

    I have heard multiple people say that variable transmissions creat more power loss, so less of the rated engine power makes it to the ground.

    • @christiansprojects-cgmanuf1426
      @christiansprojects-cgmanuf1426 3 роки тому +5

      That's true. Todays CVTs are very well engineered but still, they have slightly more power loss than a fully conventional transmssion. This is due to the fact, that most tractor variable transmissions have adjustable hydraulic pumps and motors to vary the overall transmission ratio. Hydraulic pumps and motors have more power loss than normal gear wheels. Early CVTs were fully hydraulic which made them pull very bad. Todays variable transmissions are a mix between a conventional, automatic gearbox and hydrostatic gearbox. This makes them pull much better but still not quite as good as a fully conventional gearbox. But they are so much more comfortable and easy to drive. Also, in very hilly regions, they are much safer because the tractor won't roll backwards if you take of uphill.

      @@christiansprojects-cgmanuf1426 i worked for a Cat dealer that picked up Agco as well. Your 100% correct about them being a combo. Most are a planetary gear set. With a radial piston pump and motor setup. They are really stout but they do have a high parasitic load compared to something like a poweshift. But infinitely more control

    • @pochonjulien1501
      @pochonjulien1501 3 роки тому +4

      On our little europeen structures the CVT is a good thing for the versality of our tractors. Here in Switzerland I don’t want gears anymore. But I think for those pulling purpose on big fields I wouldn’t choose a CVT. We have to never forgot that multidisc clutches in powershift gearboxes are using a lot of power too
