- ** So this video is nearing the end of our day, and it has been along one! 😂 Every night we always blow off using the compressed air on the combines and then start our journey home.
** Mike and the crew are getting tired and it's beginning to show out there 😂 🤷♂️ - though the animal noises haven't yet quite started.
** Theses videos are around 10days old, for more up to date information and footage, including some exclusive videos, follow me on Patreon www.patreon.co...
Who else was sure he wouldn't make it when he said "I am just going to shut up until the end of this pass"? But congrats - he did it!!
Me! I didn't think it would happen either
Mike I was wonder why you would have thought that.
I do enjoy your commentary and videos brother, thanks.
I had faith, he did an entire video silent nit long ago.
I quite enjoy the commentary, sitting here alone, watching grass get cut. No one else would understand me lol
Bearing in mind this was 10 at night , after a long day , mike your enthusiasm is awesome , top man
Ha! Thanks
We once left 10 acres unharvested in the corner of a field. Didn't see it until deer hunting in November. The ducks, geese and deer loved it.
First thing alien civilization will see from outer space is those fucking combines 🤣
Don't worry about the dribble out of your auger Mike, as we get older we all do that more than when we was younger :)
Hahah 😂
We got tired of cleaning our feederhouse so we made a deflector out of a sheet of poly. It attaches to the cab and rests on the header.
The chaf rolls off.
8:20, you should have pulled up behind him and unloaded into tha combine hopper! lol
Who needs Hollywood. Night mode, yeah. Hot coffee in the rain watching combining in SK. Great timing.
Mike, Your air wand work reminded me I have a dental cleaning appointment coming up soon.
Holy crap those lights are crazy Mike! A rolling city for real...
I have heard rumours that you are visible from the International Space Station 😂🤣🚀
Close encounter's of the harvester kind. Awesome.
You can never have too many lights! Daily cleaning saves a lot of problems and reduces the fire risk! Great video!
All of those lights! Dark mode on the screen is also amazing. All dark mode all the time!
You know what they say about "losing it", you have to have it before you can lose it!!!! (LOL)
You can lightup a city with those combines
Haha they are pretty bright! 😂
@@mikemitchell2554 Hola viejo que rinde
@@mikemitchell2554 IQ pro
You got me when you honked that Fendt in front of you.
Mike you get in there like I dunno what. In there like swimwear 😂
Hahah 😂 🤷♂️
You should have tried unloading directly into the combine in front of you as that would really have confused things😂🤣
Good Friday morning Good Sir.. Almost fell off my chair with your fill the back end of an empty cart first.. Lol.. Thank you for the funny ❤️❤️
Ha! Haha
"Mike's beginning to loose it" funny he long gone. Keep up the vids.
Haha 😂 🤷♂️ 🤦♂️
Thank you for taking us along with you during harvest. Lol you and the wand 😂😂
You had the occasional „did i forget to push the Button“ on the header.. been there.
Ha! More often than you would think! 😂 🤷♂️ 🤦♂️
Looks like room for improvement on those headers. Farmer gets to spend all day in nice clean cab just to get filthy dirty at night. Looks like amazing and complex equipment.
7:30 night view of the other combines lit up. Reminds me of being out on the water at night with other boats around except yours is an ocean of grain.
Hey careful!! Your getting dust in our eyes 👀. Good video. Thanks.
Great video Mike good luck finishing your 2020 crops
Wow they are the brightest lights I have ever seen on a combine they are awesome I liked combining at night it was always so much more laid back I felt that night vision is cool so ya lights don’t blind ya I like haha I got lost in a big field once every one took off and left me I was driving around trying to find out where to go they sent someone with a pickup to get me in the end lol 😂 awesome video Mike like to see some more night time combining if possible 👍👍👍
Haha thanks
Planter does a great job. Very uniform. Thanks for the ride along
16:24 that is CERJAK PTO shaft! I would never expect to see Slovenian shaft on Canadian header.
Cerjak and Honeybee are partners, see www.cerjak.si/news/509/agritechnica_2019/
Outstanding harvest video, thanks! Keep it a safe one!
Cordless leaf blowers are a combine operators best friend. The air hose doesn’t cut it.
We have a Stihl br700 that we use. Works awesome. Until you sit in a chair and hit the gas lol
Bad gas messes with the carbs though.
@@symbologee So don't use bad gas
@@farmcentralohio Ethanol ruins everything. It's BS. So is soy.
@@symbologee Ruins everything? Sounds like an operator error issue.
Farm work never ends.. Hope to get up that way for a ride along some day if that's ok with you.. Love watching all your videos. Stay Safe Brother.. From Monroe Georgia...
We are trying out a centralized air system so you can clean on the go . Something like the Krone baler uses on the knotters . We installed a bigger buffer on the combine ( Lexion ) airlines to the header housing and some high flow nozzles to remove a large part of the build up inside the driveline housing . An air coupling between the combine and the header . An air distributer with 5 high flow nozzles mainly for the removal and preventing build up on the center section . We try to develop it cost effective and interchangeable with other headers. . For the moment it´s installed on a MacDon header and we still have a lot to improve and you shall still have to clean manually but we did see much lesser build up so less of fire hazards . Maybe during the winter we are able to work a bit on this inhouse project
That's awesome! We have thought of the same things..
I’ve never been so entertained by someone blowing off equipment 👏🏽
That is a clean sample!!
Thnx for another great and fun video, good job Mikels👍
Greetings from NL
Thanks for the ride
65 bushels sounds like a great crop for dryland farming.
That's a real good crop! And it didn't avg it, that was just one part of the field I was on. Prb avg 55 give or take 10bu 😂 🤷♂️
Honk if you had it last night Mike yep you did !!!??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lights are def working mint!! And very nice grain sample
Watching you in the combine never gets old!
Ha! 😂 Thankyou... But I feel it would very quick
Looks like a space ship lol
great video! thanks for shairng
The combine has dark mode. I work in IT and that is very important. I'm a fan.
Why is it important?
@@user-qn4hi At least for me, less eye strain since I have to be behind multiple screens for 12 to 16 hours a day. So having dark mode in a dark environment so you can see the field is awesome. But then being able to flip it back to white for during the day. Great implementation from agco.
@@chrischambers8227 ok thanks when i work at night i usually don't use de agco dark mode because i don't like idk
Love your passion for farming
Haha thankyou! 🙂
No one like a funny boss!! I mean come on🤔😅😅I'm being funny here!! Seriouly🤣🤣🤣,, I feel young again watching this with a smile,,😁
It's so relaxing to watch keep up the great work my guy
Beginning to? Hahaha that was a good one Mike
Ha! 😂 🤷♂️ 🤦♂️
Hey Mike would you ever do that raising the grain cart tractor's tires on someone that's new?... man that would be hilarious to see....lol
Interesting, Montana the two I watch are 40-50 bushels per acre (not counting the hail damage stuff)....
Soo satisfying to watch
You need to install a “Tim The Tool Man Taylor Air Horn” that will wake the dead 100 miles away 😂🤣🎺🎷
Its lit out there!! Obviously there isn't any dew if yall still rolling along! Good content bruh!
Terrell Spivey I started watching your vids sometimes
You didn t told us about how you clean yourself...😂😂...
Européen guy enjoying your vidéos..
Mike you are captain hook😂
end of harvest is always interesting , equipment got good exercise, people get immune to caffeine and the fun starts :D
also across the atlantic pond we also have to sow winter crops.
Fun Time ^^
Primarily winter wheat in Palouse Country, southeastern Washington State.
Always look forward to seeing you upload. By far my favourite channel!
Thanks good sir! 🙂
Mike, I didn't realize that the sound of the horn increased unloading speed. How useful.
By around 1/2 bushel per second, so it's important to use that feature 😂
You should get a train horn mounted up I estimate a 2 bushel increase and one underwear change and you’ll never wait in line again.
@@24nathan48 hahahah 😂 I agree!!
Mike Mitchell I’m just all about making you more productive buddy plus I hate waiting in line.
Heads up,headers down.
I like when mike did this
Mike:i got to fight this guy
Me: Cool
Mike:yes leave holy cow
Love the videos Mike
You are a awesome guy mike
When you talk we're all like shut up and then you stop and it's quiet and we're like we're sorry you can talk.
Ha! 😂
If you put a piece of log chain around front or rear axle let it drag the ground gets rid of static electricity. Windows will stay clean and rest of machine less dust too
All you you tube guys I swear would fair the best out of anyone if ever lost a arm.... hoping none ever do. You guys live one handed
Imagine being able to actually lift the back end of the grain cart tractor by filling up the back of the cart... that would wake up the cart driver 🤣
Did you actually realize that none other than you and us viewers could hear you honking away like a madman? 😂🤷♂️
I’m impressed with how fast you can go with a 50’ header on those Ideals. Yum yum yum yum 🙂
Another great video, good Sir Mikels 👍
Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰
Mike: you made me turn my signal lights on like an idiot.
Also Mike: does not turn of signal lights :P
Mike, could you share some insights on the actual logistics of harvesting a field when using multiple combines? Do all these machines share GPS tracks so you can lock onto rows and go on auto? Does everybody take a sector as they roll on, or do you brief in the morning?
Whoa Whoa! get that header down!
Lol we’re are u crop!! So cool u rolling up with all that equipment. I love it..
Was waiting up for Mike here he is notification.
Yeah sorry it's late.. 😬 Been crazy busy around here
@@mikemitchell2554 yea Mike you upload at around 7.pm Indian standard time for every 2 days
Very good video thanks for the video
I copied your idea from an earlier video and put a curved light bar on my claas tucano!! Only a 2019 model and could only see like a foot ahead of header!! Sound 😍😍😍
Our 2020 harvest will conclude today, it’s a tremendous feeling when the last pass is made to conclude a long year. Then the planning for 2021 begins, after the body and mind has some down time.
That's awesome! As so should ours..
Like the lights might have to add to mine next year
Mike Mitchell must be losing it, because he didn’t care about bushels per acre. Someone send the guys in white suites to pick him up!
Too late... He lost it - he gone 🤣
He need to trade those for Case 8250s. That is what automation is made for. The long weeks, I almost said days, when everyone starts to not care as much.
How many acres do you crop?
why send him furniture?
Jacob Lenting, me? I farmed just under 9000 this year with over 5000 in crop.
take a shot every time he says ' light'
Mike if you guys manage to finish in a timely manner do you guys do custom work? And also, was curious as to a round about on hours you put on them harvesters a season.
Jackhammer air compressors is the volley 3/4 inch air line a slotted home so it gives you a fan1/2 inch metal pipe squash the end in a vice may need a side handle welding on the side to control it 😂😂😂😂😂 👍
Works like magic@ need a seat belt to hold u down
Hey Mike, l got hired by riding in a chopper for a couple minutes, because there is a little shortage of people in Michigan
They have around twenty 1042 fendt tractor's with triple axle silage wagons.
It's been really enjoyable so far.
14 to 15 hour days
For blowing off the combines we have 185 cfm air compressor. One that would run a jack hammer. That is what you need. You will wish you would have gotten one years ago.
Jeff's right
I had one at my old farm and we used it all the time for all our equipment. Also for lawnmowers
Hey mike on a scale of 1-10 what would you give those machines up to this point???
Great video., Mike God bless you all in Canada. QUESTION I heard there was Chinese troops in British Columbia does anybody know?
@Doc Savage wow
Mike what light bars are they? came with fendt or did u install them by yourself? too disappointed a looot that x9 backed out 😕😖😖
🤔 I can't remember the name, but they came from Texas
And exactly how are we supposed to know when you loose it you seem like your normal self 🤣🤣😎
🤔... That's a very good question
mike is OSHA approved for sure
I can't believe you guys quit at 10PM. We used to go until it was tough. 3500 acres seeded, 2 small combines... you had no choice. If rain was in the forecast, we harvested all night. Small compared to what is available today.
We get too tired.. We need 60+ days to wrap up harvest, and we ll burn out quick and the guys are tired from spraying chickpeas every 7 days 😂
But just because you quit at 10, that typically means you get home, eat, shower and to bed by 12 or 1am depending on how far home is. Then up at 5 or 5 30 am to start preparing for the day
Get it in there!!!!!
Morning Mike, nice crop at that yield!
Hard to believe it’s yielding like that with the little straw there is.
What variety of durum is it?
I grow Alloy has a lot of straw, need a shorter variety, yields like crazy though.
Spitfire I believe.. That was corner of the field that obviously got a rain, the avg of that 1700ac field was prb more like 55ish give or take 5 bus 😂 🤷♂️
How many days in a year do you harvest? We need round about 20 days for barley, canola, wheat and some oat. Chopping maize takes 12 days. But it seems youre combining the whole year over there. ^^
Haha we need 60days or give or take 10!😂 🤦♂️😔
Great video Mike I really enjoyed the night combining. Those lights are awesome. How many more days do you predict till being finished? Thanks for sharing some time and letting us ride around with you.
We are nearly done now.. But there's lots of videos still to go haha
How has the growing season been for your farm and how are the markets looking ?
I wonder if people realize how many loaves of bread can be made for every hour you combine ?
I Love Farming
How is your super good visibility when you are going with the wind in dusty beans ??? It seems that with high kelvin temp led lights ( really bright white ) that it really lights up the dust and you can't see anything where the older lights that are more yellow it doesn't seem as bad . ( that is why fog lights are yellow )
Still have to do a day with Ashton or Frankles
What if that was Ashton in the combine in front of you that your honking at when they were gonna fill the cart 😂😂😂😂
Mike, what brand LED of lights do you add to tractors and machines ?, also do you have any idea how many lumens. Thanks for another great video. Love watching them.
So today is a good day but kind of sad I finally watched all of miles videos. 🥳But now I have to wait for more to come out. 😐
😳 Holy cow you watched them all? That's crazy!
Yes sir start to finish can't support with $ right now but I can give you my red watch time a a like for everyone. You good sir have earned a loyal fan down here in the southeast US
@@mikemitchell2554 I've watched every one and watched a lot twice.
