    I’m so grateful for this recipe that needs no gelatin and is so easy. I especially wanted it for my pumpkin pound cake this fall. Two points. I always use granulated sugar in my whipped cream adding it at the soft wake stage. I resume beating and when it holds stiff peaks all the sugar has dissolved and not be a bit gritty. I also add some pure vanilla extract because it makes whipped cream taste better. I wouldn’t have thought to add instant pudding though so kudos to you. This will make wonderful chocolate whipped cream too. Just add some cocoa powder when you add the sugar but omit vanilla. You could make coffee whipped cream too! Strawberry appeals to me too but I can’t think of any other flavors I’d like offhand. Maybe lemon but I wouldn’t want to put lemon juice in it because it would probably curdle the cream. Zest would be ok and subs some lemon extract if it is better than it used to be. Thank you again!

    Just made triple the recipe with vanilla pudding, and added a tablespoon of vanilla paste. It was just the right amount for an 8 inch, 4 layer cake. It’s delicious, thank you for the great recipe!

      The flavor is amazing. I use all different kinds of pudding flavors from chocolate to Oreo. I don't really measure anything, but it always turns out. Lexy smith I don't usually save it because I use it all up, but I'm sure it's good for a day or 2 in the fridge..

      The same thing happened to me. I didn't find it so sweet. I added one more tablespoon and it didn't harm the mixture. On the contrary, it remained stable, because the powdered sugar contains cornstarch.

    It does indeed work. The only thing though about this recipe is that it doesn’t make much. I just did about 18 cupcakes and it was a stretch. You will need to double recipe. It is good though 😘

    I always use fruit sugar ,also known as caster sugar . Super fine for whipped cream .Also great for sprinkling on shortbread and pies right out of the oven.

      Yes, definitely don't add fondant accents until you're about to present and/or serve. It will become gummy from the moisture, slide and stain the whipped cream (if using colored fondant).

    I tried it today and the consistency was beautiful. Once I tried putting on cake I got a bunch of air bubbles. I couldn’t get the cake to look smooth. Do you know why?

      Before applying for final layer , gently mix with spatula and fill in piping bag , you will get smooth finish. Or use a spatula ( dip in chilled water) for smooth finish on top.

      I recommend to freeze the cake then smooth it out with spatula. Also try to wet the spatula with warm water. That works for me!

      Vanilla custard powder will change color of your frosting. You can use corn starch.
      Pudding mix is different.
      It’s easily available in grocery stores.

      If your daughter is sensitive to artificial flavor and color then i will recommend you to use icing sugar instead of pudding mix.

    U have added 1tbsp for 1cup of whipping cream..so for every additional cup we need to add 1tbsp.?
    Will there be any problem if we add too much pudding mix?

    It tastes good! However I don’t know why it melted so quickly when I was trying to pipe some flowers. It melted inside the piping bags. I dont know what caused that problem because I am new to this field.

    Is it too sweet with the powdered sugar? Can you leave out the powders sugar or is it needed to stiffen the cream?

      No its not needed , if you want you can skip powder sugar.
      For stifling pudding mix will do perfect work.

    Hi ! This is just what I was looking for. Looks amazing... my question is how do you store rest of the pudding mix? Since we are just using 1 tablespoon for this recipe . Can the pudding mix be stored in air tight container for future whipped cream frosting as needed

      Jello brand will also work . You can also use flavoring jello for different frostings.
      You can refrigerate leftover pudding mix.

      she listed it in the video.. 1cup heavy cream, 1tbsp of pudding mix, whip for 4-5 mins until light peaks, then add 2 tbsp powdered sugar and whip for a minute on high. Done.

    Hi I really liked your recipe of stabilize whipped cream.the one with whipped cream I tried but it actually smells a little.Just want to know how much instant pudding we should add to make it stabilize?

      Instant pudding will give a nice flavor to cream.
      Please check your pudding mix flavor.

      Maintain temperature and over beating.
      Over beating will give you butter
      Use a ice bowl.
      Don’t save it for later

      Its quite similar to Chantilly cream.
      Diplomat cream is a combination of Chantilly and pastry cream .( pastry cream require eggs)
      This is a eggless or veg version.

    Thats how i stabilize whipped cream. I cant stand frostings and glazes so i use whipped cream. NEVER DEADLY COOL WHIP!!👹
