I don't mean to be heartless but what is it with these women? I grew up extremely trusting, loving, giving but my parents instilled in us a sense of using our innate intuition. If it seems too good to be true, it isn't. Plus, do these women actually believe that some dude (always considerably younger) will truly love them? I was on dating sites off and on for years. It's simple. If someone asked for money, told them to f-off. I'm not a beach but I am smart.

I don’t 100 percent believe they were completely blinded. The willingness to hand over money was to keep the men there in my opinion. They knew. Also, got sour once the men inevitably left and demand the money back. The math isn’t mathing.

Not so sure about that. Met The Wife on the 19th December, and by Christmas Day we had both decided firmly that we were made for one another. That was 20 years ago, and we are still very much in love. I suppose it helps that we'd both had bad experiences in the past, which makes one a) more careful, yet b) more appreciative. Also helps if you've got similar interests, and similar levels of academic accomplishment.

In marriage "two become one" so ALL assets are automatically joint by law. You can't be married and NOT have an account without your spouse.

This is what happens when you're desperate for love. Your common sense goes out the door. I'm 60 I've been in some very toxic relationships. I haven't dated now in 15 years I grew a brain stem and realized I don't have to have a man to complete me or give me affirmations. So I stopped dating it's a truly amazing experience. When you finally love yourself you realize a man is not going to complete you you don't need a man's love to feel love you need to love yourself. I decided I was taking a break from dating and before I knew it I was actually hooked on being single lol I will never have to be with a man in order to be happy. I really hope these women realize if you I truly happy being alone maybe they won't search for Love on the other side of the world and perhaps they'll see the first red flag instead of waiting till the 99th. It's like all of these women are living in a fantasy land. It appears none of these women had an ounce of dignity self love pride or common-sense . I really hope they learned their lessons from this. I watched a programme where they showed classes for men who learn to lure and pick women to scam, they keep files on the ones they manage to get so they can keep up with their stories and what they’ve said so they don’t slip up, they pick older women, larger women, lonely women,they can get so much money and so many items off them. I have a beautiful granddaughter,her father is Nigerian and the amount of people who think that my daughter was scammed for him to stay in the U.K. is ridiculous, he’s a social worker and has been here for over 25 years, and not once been out of work,but because of the situation of men scamming women from abroad it’s giving other men a bad reputation.
The scam you're talking about is "slaughter the pig." It gets its name from the idea of "feeding" the target (pig) and when they've got as much as possible they start the "slaughter" where they'll say that they're going to move in with the pig, get a boatload of money under the pretence of needing travel money, then disappear completely. I think it originates from south Korea but it gets done in parts of China too.

I think she wrote in comments it's true love because 9 years later he's still around. In my view, he was in poverty and to stick around is worth it - she didn't get chosen because she's more attractive than women his own age. He made this sacrifice for his family.

I've lived in Turkey for 14 years and before that came on holiday here for quite a few years, have sat and watched it all. On my very first holiday in Turkey, Marmaris a very charming male came onto me, he was honest saying he wanted to live in the uk and wanted to marry, but when someone is 15+ years your junior you KNOW its not right, whether theyre upfront about their motives or not.
Disagree age gap isn't a red flag always, it's a number 19 years between me and my husband married have kids a home cars and my maturity were all that mattered I am very mature for my age. He also Indian, but born in the UK.
