Somehow, not entirely sure how, if you play back the footage there's brief glimpses of them building the door so that they wind up standing on it, then building the ceiling. Definitely impressive how they climbed all the way up there at exactly the right time.
I've had that happen a few times. Haven't lost anyone yet (crossing my fingers). I currently manage 9 duplicants and I just got out of the food shortage era. I now just need to fix the oxygen issue produced by the coal generators.

Im at 10 since the beggining bedrooms can be collective, you dont need single bed rooms at all. If a dupes goes out of the lavatory and the wash basin is in use it will just walk past it You dont need that many showers either, one or two will do Dont bother with steam engines until cycles 500 or more, its way too hard to setup and make it work efficiently, for power ranch some hatches and make coal generators, then move to natural gas Dont bother with plastic or space until youre settled and stable, I use morphed dreckos for plastic (ranch them and make them eat mealwood) Dont destroy wild plants like peppers and sleet wheat, i left so many on the map its giving me free food To kill a dupe easily just remove their autorisations for food in the consumables tab Sour gas DOES condense back, just cool it enough Mop the water off the floor where dupes go often ! it causes them lots of stress for steel you need a refinery and have made at least one of these ingredients : refined iron, refined carbon (via klin) and lime (via rock granulator) Some buildings in this game outputs liquids at a fixed temperature, for example the water sieve will always give out 40C water, meaning you can use the hot polluted water from anything (a refinery for example) and delete the heat (and any germs due to it). Pass it into an aquatuner for a good 25C water I also noticed that your water sieve system isnt protected against germs, those from washrooms are directly going into your clean water reservoir
I agree with everything except the dupes thing. 20-25 dupes is fine thats usually what i do and ive survived over 400 cycles. 30 or so is when it becomes difficult to maintain but very possible. Anything over 40 is nearly impossible in the long term but barely possible and it depends on the map. 50 or higher is impossible to maintain long term unless you have a 11/10 map and you are highly, highly skilled. I dont wanna be presumptuous but i think anything over 60 is impossible to maintain for more than a couple hundred cycles.
Kratoast God_of_pumpernickel_rye For a begginner more than 15 dupes isnt easy, its easier to learn when you use less ressources overall. Having more dupes only make projects faster in terms of benefits
@@deblob123456789 it makes stuff faster, but it also can make your dupes more efficient. oxygen usage, food production, and mining are more efficient with more dupes because of them being able to spend less time walking to and from there duties and being able to be more specialized. you do use more resources, but its not double for 20 instead of 10 its like 1.8x or something. there is also other benifits, electricity especially is very non-linear 2x as many dupes only uses maybe 1.5x as much power or less as well as dupes running on wheels being more sustainable and useful the more dupes you have. So yes it does get harder the more dupes, but there are advantages besides just speed.
Kratoast God_of_pumpernickel_rye I guess its all about playstyles. Keep in mind that some resources factors like algae (a newbie has trouble setting up a SPOM) depend directly on the number of dupes
-First of all, don't use germ-free water to make oxygen, use contaminated one since it kills the germs when it is transformed into oxygen. -Second, you NEED to make a cooling system for the resulting oxygen otherwise you'll just heat up your base. Maybe use radiating gas vents next to a ton of Wheezeworts for a start or build the entire oxygen production operation far from your base and insulated by abyssalite tiles and use thermoregulators cooled by ice. -Third, you need to put ALL energy related stuff away from your base, even the batteries radiate a bit of heat which WILL build up over time. -Fourth, your base, where your duplicants live and where food is produced, NEEDS to be encased in an abyssalite tile sheet, to avoid the over-time radiation of heat into it. -Fifth, you have way too many duplicants, remember that each duplicant is an exponential increase in resources consumed. -Sixth, you use power transformers, yet use normal wiring. The reason why your wires break is because normal wires have a current limit of 1000W, you need to use heavy duty cables which have (if I'm not mistaken) a 20kW current limit. So what you want to do is create a power generator room where all your generators are located, link them with heavy duty cables, then use power transformers to distribute your current around the base (since transformers take the high current and output the max 1000W the normal cables need). Obviously, heavy duty cables are hideous, so you need to create an area where dupes don't travel much to install those cables.
1) You cant use abyssalite for building... anything since the last update 2) Wiring is fine as long as the generators are on ons side and the consumers on the other. Im able to maintain 1,800 watts of generators on one power line.
@@MaximusMeridiusX I didn't know they changed abyssalite, that's honestly bullshit given how incredibly hard it is to control heat. The only reason you can maintain that current is because your powered machines aren't online at all times, otherwise, wire break.
acheron16 believe me I get over 1000 watts on consumers a lot, putting generators on one side of a transformer makes it so that they are different circuits, and the transformer acts as a 1k watt generator so you can never get over the capacity. The circuit only overloads when there is more than the circuits watt tolerance in both generators and consumers at the same time.

I'm getting very strong "We do what me must, because we can for the good of all of us, except the ones who are dead" feelings from that lab. In other words, Aperture Science.
I really feel for you food problem, it took me a while to figure out how to feed dupes and I found out that the main reason you run out so suddenly is that all of your dupes are eating... AT THE SAME TIME. Using the scheduling tool (the clock icon under the moon), you can control when dupes take their breaks, sleep, etc. Cooks and farmers have an easier time providing food when only a portion of the population is stopping to eat. You can also get dupes to stagger the workshifts so someone is working all the time.
Mark whenever the right shower is in use all the other showers can't be used because the shower on the right pumps polluted water through all the outputs of the other showers, so the pipes of the other showers get blocked.

Oxygen not included turning into don't starve 😅
Well this game was created by the creators of "Don't Starve"... so it makes sense to have the main element of that game in this game.
I love this series because I love imagining that Mark is someone from NASA who is solely responsible for making this space colony work, and can only issue orders from afar.
The episode where Mark finally loses his mind
i love how it’s the steel that breaks him
*skips to random part of video*
Mark: HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA WHEEHEHEHEHE AHAHHAHAHAHHA HEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHE
I usually never watch Oxygen Not Included because it's boring to watch, but when Mark plays it... oh boy... :)
Mark can't hear himself. No wonder he is always screaming
I'm getting very strong "We do what me must, because we can for the good of all of us, except the ones who are dead" feelings from that lab. In other words, Aperture Science.
Hotel? Trevaldo
I like how mark does a 180 on his emotions happy mark , sad mark , insane mark calm mark and joyful mark this was too fun to watch.
The game updated so much(the launch). He should make another vid
He's doin them now
Has mark ever been in a movie or anything because his acting is honestly out of this world
New drinking game: take a shot everytime Mark says "Its fine."
You'll be dead in .0004 seconds.
He should change is channel name to mark2702
Why 2702?
@@zombiechibixd Watch his tesla video
Mark whenever the right shower is in use all the other showers can't be used because the shower on the right pumps polluted water through all the outputs of the other showers, so the pipes of the other showers get blocked.
